Review Artisano Bakery & Cafe - Mississauga

Good sandwiches but not much else. The 'kale supersalad' was anything but and the coleslaw was even worse. Both tasted a bit funky, as if they'd been left out for a day. The cheese cannelloni was pretty brutal and had obviously been frozen and then thawed by someone who didn't know how to use a microwave very well. If you stick with sandwiches and other bread related products, you're good but otherwise beware. Nice patio though!

Fresh and flavourful menu. Coffee was very good. Overall environment was cozy and inviting.

This is a spacious cafe and bakery style deli. They have free refills on coffee and pop. They have comfy chairs, fresh ingredients and tasty menu items. I wish this place was closer as it is a good hangout spot and work away from the office location. I will definitely return when I am in the neighbourhood.

Artisano Dundas provided breakfast catering for an important office function. They were here exactly on time, food was plentiful and fresh. Very delicious. Executives were raving about how good it was for the start of an intense business day. They made me look like a star! Thanks Tenny and the Catering team! Well done

Could easily have been the worst breakfast in recent memory. Ordered food which took 20 minutes to arrive. The latte I ordered had clearly been sitting there as it was lukewarm at best. The potatoes were under cooked. The cheese in my omelette was still hard. Dishes piled up on tables that had not been cleaned for hours. Really disappointing. October 10, 2016.

Food here is always delicious. Ordered a chicken caesar salad and my girlfriend had the soup and sandwich combo with Tuscan chicken club and broccoli cheddar soup. Fantastic. A little pricey at 30 bucks for two lunches. Large selection of bakery items as well... cookies, tarts, cake etc.

I love love love this place. Been a fan since the Company opened. Their food is consistently fresh and delicious. My favourite is the half panini w/ half salad option. I always default to the Turkey Bacon Provolone Panini with the Spinach & Gorgonzola Salad (has candied pecans, green apples, cranberries & a Dijon Vinaigrette)

The definition of a panini is that it's pressed on a sandwich grill, yes? Well apparently this location of Artisano's is unaware of this and likes to serve soggy, cold sandwiches as "panini's". No apologies. Disappointed. Also, for being in a nearly deserted dining area, at Monday afternoon, it would have been nice if the wait staff had made the time to clear my dirty dishes away, instead of waiting for about 2 hours to do so. The manager is good though. I could hear him talking with his staff in a firm, but professional tone. He was upset that they had apparently decided to throw some things out that they shouldn't have. This doesn't help my low opinion about the general service, but maybe there's hope.

Sandwiches are very good, but are inconsistent. The people working at the cash at the dundas/403 location are rude and unfriendly. They pay no attention to waiting customers. If you're paying descent money for food, good service should go along with it.

Wonderful Brunch Spot!. We go regularly for weekend brunch here with friends and family. Food is good and fresh and the restaurant is just huge! Never feel crowded or rushed to leave so it's great for those lazy Sunday Brunches where you can eat, sit and chat forever! Also, my husband often goes to work their during the weekdays as they have free wifi! Great coffee too and free re-fills!

Great Food! Great Service!. This place is incredible! We happened to come across it as we were driving down Dundas Street West in Mississauga. When we walked in, we noticed that not only is it a cafe, it is also a bakery. We were greeted immediately by a kind young woman by the name of Adriana. She asked us if this was our first time at Artisano and we said yes. She then said that we can help ourselves to a free loaf of bread since it was our first time, such a kind offer! We then ordered and received our food within ten minutes, great service! The food was great, it tasted fresh and moist. I am Italian and I know how lasagna should taste, and their lasagna definitely comes very close to the real thing. They also offer free Wi-Fi and entertainment on the patio in the summer. I would definitely come back here for lunch, dinner, or even a coffee!

Service was slow and the portions are small for the money. I would not eat here again.

Panera bread rival and clone. Ate on Thursday at 7 pm. Ordering was slow due to cashiers doubling as servers. Good food and friendly staff. Almost males you forget you paid 11 bucks for soup and sandwich.

Every Neighbourhood Needs One. Great selection for everyone. Getting a cup of good coffee, eating a meal, catering, or joining friends for breakfast, lunch or dinner, its a great place with lots of details to make your stay relaxing. Definately a new wave of eating good food, and made fresh. Its not fast food, but made fresh food pretty quick.

Had a hand made chicken brie and goat cheese pizza on multi-grain dough....what an amazing pizza!! You can tell the items are fresh...and real chicken...go figure.non of this simulated crap you get at the pizza chains...wife had a half Steak and Portobello Sandwich with Avocado Nut Salad....nice flavouring, fresh ingredients...had a bite of the steak sandwich, WOW!!

Staff are eagar to please, its getting busier, you can tell the popularity and the word on the street is they landed in Mississauga.

Great Espresso/cappuccinos, great breakfast, lunch and dinner choices...only 72 different kinds of pastries/sweets, baked goods....they also sell bread, good selection.

Free WiFi internet access, bottomless cup of coffee, and 5 flavours to choose from....WOW...beats the snot out of Tim Horton's.

Reasonably priced for good fresh product.

This is their 4th location, been to the 2 others...food is consistantly good, different layout here, seems biggers...nicely decorated....love the flow, and 2 fireplaces...

Every neighbourhood needs a hang-out like this one.

New Owners?. After not visiting for a few months, I stopped by for lunch today. They have a new system where they'll bring your food to you - no more leaving your laptop to pick up food. :) Great idea, especially if you visit by yourself!

I ordered the Two Choices: Half sandwich and smaller portion of salad. Came to just over $11. Sandwich was quite small, certainly shrank from the last time that I was there. Accompanying slice of bread was LARGER than sandwich.

Salad was okay, but I would've preferred fresh beets as opposed to canned. (I believe that they used to use fresh, grated beets.) At the bottom of the salad bowl, there was a puddle of dressing. Both sandwich, albeit small, and salad tasted fine, but the quality used to be better.

They also removed satellite radio, but there was music faintly playing in the background. Not surround sound, didnt know where it was coming from, so it was a bit annoying.

Even though it's not the best value, it's an okay place for a quick bite. However, it wouldn't be nice locale to linger...

-----01 Oct, 2010-----

Same concept as Panera 'cept better!. Service: After you order at the counter, you're given a coaster that lights up/beeps once your food is ready! Coffee/soft drinks are self-serve and free refills. You can also ask for a small cup for water. A waitress does come 'round every so often to pick up your tray with empty plate/bowl.

Staff seemed really friendly and eager to please!

Atmosphere: Since it just opened, it is still relatively quiet. Definitely not as busy or noisy as a Starbucks! Free wi-fi, so it's a great place to get some work done on your laptop. Atmosphere could be cozier once it starts to fill up, but now, it's your brand new, standard, suburban bakery/café. Not necessarily a bad thing!

Coffee: Decent, House Blend better than Dark Roast. Waaay better than Panera coffee. It's $2/mug and free refills, so try to fill up at least once to make it worth it!

Food: Salad had really interesting ingredients like candied pecans + slices of mandarin orange. Yum! Panini was absolutely delicious and truly hot off the press.
Combo of 2 of any soup/salad/or 1/2 a sandwich was filling. More than enough for a lunch or dinner. A great way to try different things off the menu!

Also ordered a slice of carrot cake which was HUGE. Shared it with a friend or 2! Cake was rich, but not too sweet.

Visit soon before more people find out about this place!

...Artisano is a place that promises fresh baked goods, hearty soups and big salads. Needing something quick and relatively healthy, LJ and I decided to try it out.
