If you love green tea or matcha flavoured things then you'll love Tsujiri, if not then this won't be the place for you. Most of the drinks are matcha/green tea, but they have some pretty great desserts to try out. The only dessert that I personally didn't quite enjoy too much was their black sesame cake. I only didn't like it cuz it wasn't that great considering the price, but all the other desserts are definitely worth it.

This is just simply an incredible tea shop. I love the authenticity and the quality of the matcha they use. The first thing I tried was the hot O-Matcha. It was mild for my taste (I guess they made it that way because only few people appreciate bold-flavored matcha), but it has the creamy texture with sweet notes. It’s still satisfying though. And the lady politely told me that she could make me a stronger matcha next time. My other order was the Shaved Ice. The size was surprisingly big. The ice cream has the full flavor that I was looking for in the O-Matcha! The syrup they used complemented the ice cream making it bitter-sweet which is very perfect. Lastly, their cheesecakes are so divine! I love the Matcha Double Fromage Slice. They used spongecake as the base and not graham crust. It’s not too sweet, so it’s perfect with tea or coffee. And each bite totally melts in the mouth! The prices are a bit pricy, but considering that the main ingredient is matcha, the price is worth it. The service is great. It really is the kind of service you usually get from Japanese people.

My fav is their sakura parfait, but this time I got their "shiratama parfait" because the other two are sold out. Still yummy though. The red bean is on the sweeter side, but the matcha ice cream is delicious as always. The shiratama is the white rice ball, its a bit chewvy but mostly soft. Make sure you eat them when you get your order, or else it freezes under ice cream then it just taste like a iced rice ball.

The staffs are super friendly. I'm not familiar with the menu and she was kindly offering suggestions of the popular menu. They gave me a sample of one of their tea options, which taste really good. The ice cream was ok. No table there and need to find a sit outside, which was pretty easy. I hope they have more desert options.

I'm so glad that they now have a location in Mississauga!!!! I went to the opening and got a TSUJIRI Latte and Parfait in the morning and the Matcha Double Fromage Cheesecake & Daifuku in the afternoon when they arrived :) They only accepted Cash at the time but should be getting the debit/credit machine soon. Will definitely go back to try out the rest of the menu!!

Tastes great, I tried the one with soft Vanilla ice cream on top, I tasted the one green tea ice-cream, but liked the Vanilla more. The drink under the ice-cream was Mango flavored. I do recommend trying it, the place is well decorated gives you an Asian feel, it's also very elegant and clean. The only reason why I didn't give them full grade is the price, in my opinion it's too high.

Checked out this place yesterday afternoon. Cute little tea shop-few chairs, no tables. It was quite busy, it was a Sunday afternoon. But staff was very friendly and apologized for the wait. Got the matcha parfait! So delicious! Unique to me...matcha ice cream, red beans, bread, and like corn flakes. Also tried the matcha cake, it was so yummy! Place is a little pricey, but so tasty and yummy!

Food:

• The matcha soft serve was absolutely delicious. The matcha taste comes through very strongly and because of this it was not very sweet but just perfect and smooth. It has a great texture and very creamy. Perfect for a hot day but also anything really.

• The Sakura Parfait was unique and very delicious. From the bottom to the top of the parfait you will find crunchy roasted brown rice, a thick layer of red bean, matcha soft serve, a chestnut, mochi and a cherry blossom cookie to top it off. The parfait is sweet, bitter, chewy, cold; an array of textures and flavors. Not too sweet but also not too bitter. Just perfect in my opinion.

• A lot of times the taste of matcha especially strong ones can come across bitter if you are not used to it. Because of this, their desserts and drinks have different matcha levels you can choose from so that you can ease your way into the dishes.

• 5/5

Atmosphere:

• It is a small shop with no seats available in it. Since it is in Square One mall and next to other eateries, there are communal seating outside the shop.

Full Review: thelocalepicure.ca

Instagram: @thelocalepicure

Matcha is not everyone's cup of tea it is a has a very strong taste but is full of antioxidants and recommenced if you are not big on sweet. The soft serve ice cream I had been seeing several people with while passing through the mall so I gave it a try it is the real matcha from Kyoto which is a plus when it's authentic the other small bites are enticing. I got quite a bit for $6.50 also has the old slush drink it was just as mouth watering very refreshing when I want something cold!

Finally, a sauga location. Still love their matcha soy latte. Tried their cheese tart dessert today... not bad but wouldn’t get it again for $5.25, not worth.

The O-Matcha Black Sesame Latte was wonderfully fragrant, with a strong nutty aroma emitting from the toasted sesame topping. Sesame and bittersweet Japanese green tea were combined in an approximate ratio of 3:7, yielding a product that was generally grassy with underlying notes of dark floral.

Yuzu Houjicha, which I had requested over ice and with minimal sweetness, was refreshing and citrusy. The addition of both yuzu peel and yuzu jam contributed to a pleasant uniformity admist the roasted cinders of houjicha.
