Made reservations on a Saturday night and glad we did as the small place was busy! Despite this service was great and very quick. The waitress took an average of 6 seconds to reach our table after we pressed the button 😂
The staff were kind enough to give us an ice bag and some soothing cream and a bandaid for a burn one of us had- going above and beyond the expectations for service!
Food was fantastic as well. The fried chicken is a must order- incredibly crispy and full of flavour! Plus eating in a booth/cubicle-style setting means no one will see you lick your fingers 😉
Hands down the best Korean place in Mississauga!

Full Disclosure: The owner invited me to check out his restaurant...which I had bookmarked anyway! So I was eventually gonna get to it, but his invitation prompted me to visit sooner rather than later and I'm very glad that I did. :)

Parking: Located at the old location of the popular BBQ joint, Paul & Sandy's, go South on Cordova and park directly BEHIND the restaurant, but ***NOT*** in the Turner & Porter Funeral Home lot. I discovered this when a man, standing in the window of T&P, saw me and shook his head.

Calvin, the proud owner, told me this Sikgaek is actually a popular Korean chain that he brought over and this very location is the first in North America. The menu is a bit limited - you won't find Bibimbap, PBS here! - AND this is intentional. There are quite a few Korean restaurants on this strip of Dundas, so the owner wanted to specialise in a handful of items and perfect them!

What to order: Kalgooksoo ($8.95), a simple but hearty egg drop soup with HANDMADE noodles and any of the mandus (dumplings). If&when you order the dumplings, make sure you get the side of gochuchang & slaw that pairs well with the dumplings, adding a sweet 'n spicy kick with a nice crunch from the slaw. Absolutely delicious!

I don't eat that much, so the portion of Kalgooksoo was more than enough for me! (Probably not good as a takeout as the noodles did get less chewy the longer it sat in the broth.) You may want to share it, so you can order other stuff off the menu. The broth was very subtle, but it was nicely amped up with the bean powder, chilli, & pieces of dried seaweed.

Mandus - 12 dumplings come in 1 order. I was able to order half steamed/fried. BOTH were delicious, handmade as well, & skin was very thin. Filling consists of beef/pork, so FYI. Owner is working on getting a veg dumpling, so carnivores can only partake...for now.

Restaurant is pretty small, ~8 tables, and each and every one on a Friday night were occupied! So if you're going on a peak time, be prepared to wait. They are also opened until 2AM (!!!) on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday nights due to demand. Service was very friendly and it was a pleasure to chat with the owner about his journey and experience as a new business owner. Apparently he owned a café, years ago, in the exact spot so things seemed to have come full circle for him!

Again, come here for the handmade noodles & dumplings, friendly service, & late nights! And YES, they do serve domestic as well as Korean beer. :)))

Went here at around 9:00pm with a couple of friends for a late-night dinner. To begin, we were served in a cute booth which was private from the rest of the restaurant. Although there are tables that are more akin to a traditional dining experience, our booth (among others) provided a nice private getaway meal from the bust city life. The staff served as well despite their tiredness. They were a little rude, but they should definitely get a pass since they seemed exhausted as it was the end of the day, near closing. We were served promptly and in an efficient manner. The food was great, including the rice cakes and spicy pork dish that I had. Everyone enjoyed their main course dishes, however the fried chicken was a little on the drier side and the Yangyum sauce didn't help either. Overall, an excellent experience, but maybe avoid the fried chicken. Would recommend!

Food is beyond awesome! We tried corn cheese, omurice-Takoyaki and Chicken Hot plate. I really love Omurice-Takoyaki. Gravy had a hint of sweetness and Egg was perfect! Takoyaki was mind bowing! For anyone who doesn't like sweetness, this might not be the first choice. Had Private area for us and seperate button to order food. Really love the concept! Friendly staff Free parking Highly recommended

Came here for the very first, and my Dad tagged along! We ordered the Original Pork Bone Soup, Sikgaek Japtang Ttokbokki, and Shrimp Omurice! All dishes were made to order, served quick and to perfection ♥️ All had their wonderful unique flavours that stood special on their own but complimented everything else. The portion sizes are perfect to share, or for someone who can handle it all! My favourite part is how they served the Ttokbokki as it came out on its own burner and in its own pot! The server who helped us who I believe may have been the chef/owner, was the sweetest most accommodating individual. The food was absolutely worth the time and money, and I can’t wait to try their hot pot next!

4.5 stars Very nice cozy korean restaurant, a block from Mississauga Chinatown. Food was fantastic, big portions, great service. Only downside was that the table was a bit small, and we had to sit elbow to elbow.

Great service and good food. One of the BEST places in the city for Korean Fried Chicken. Also love cold noodles here and their pork bone soup with glass noodles. Used to dine in here before pandemic. And have ordered take out and delivery a few times since!

Quick service and food was great! Yangyum chicken came in big pieces, kalbi tastes good and so was bibimbap. Omurice with house sauce (+ shrimp) is my favorite but might be too sweet for some.
