Review Indias Taste - Mississauga

I like the food. A lot of options. It will sure fill you full and satisfied for Indian favorites. The service is slow, no one cleans any dishes, maybe is short of staff.

I lived 25 years in United Arab Emirates, the land of lavish and luxury food where buffets are the "minimum" you expect from any food establishment and hotels. To judge India Taste from the outside does not give it justice at all, don't get me wrong, it is beautiful and well taken care of from the outside, but there is more to what meets the eye from the amazing interior design of the restaurant! How did they fit a full size bar, a descent size buffet, a dining hall and a private bookable party room in what looks like an average restaurant size from outside AND still manage an amazing interior with beautiful waterfall that really beats the heck out of me! Hats off to the designer. Now for the food. In general, and for me personally, Indian cuisine is not among the top 5 on my favorite cuisine list. We went to India's Taste because my wife loves Indian food. Having said that, I had 3 runs on the buffet main courses! It was amazing! I just couldn't find any flaw with anything! Very well cooked, spices mixed in amazing way that there is no specific spice overpowering the others and you end up tasting the same thing although you are trying different dishes! Every dish I tried you can taste it's specific signature! Heck, I HATE SPICY FOOD but I ended up eating all of the 4 chicken kabobs I put in plate because they were SO GOOD! I never do that! I always prefer to save my taste buds from burning so I can enjoy the taste of the food not the taste of the spiciness, yet the chef, somehow, managed to make the kabobs spicy yet I was able to taste the chicken and the spices went into preparing it! Staff were very amazing. I met the manager and congratulated her for the amazing food and atmosphere. We are definitely visiting them again soon and will most likely be on our dine-in list of restaurants!

We visited Indian Taste Buffet & Bar and had a really great time, the service was great, we were greeted and seated fast, enjoyed the buffet and the verity of authentic Indian food which was prepared and presented professionally. The restaurant was clean and the waiters were very welcoming. Will visit them again for sure!

The food was not that great, staff doesn’t even bother to interact with you. The ambiance is great though. I would really like to see them close the second door so the cold air doesn’t come to you when you are made to sit by the entrance.

Wasted 70$ , majority of the food was hard as iron block. We came at 7pm, dec 9. None of the waitress came to welcome and literally no one gave us menu about half an hour. There were two girls literally doing nothing just gossip with a boy who i believe was outsider and not taking care of customers i believe the owner was not there.Taking about food, Dosa was burnt trust me u didnt saw the first one this is the one we got after complaint and most of the things were not fresh and othera were half cooked. This has been my favourite resturant so far but from now onwards i will never come and never recomended anyone. Service-0 , food- 0

They don't have any separation for veg and non veg behind the presentation, even in the kitchen. They can mix up your food type, moreover the manager have no apologies of doing something wrong by serving wrong food which leads to hurt the religious sentiments for few individuals and at the same time lack in professionalism and hospitality. Even the food quality is not good, buffet is not worth at odd timings. That is not like a freshly cooked, as all the curries and dishes keep on heating and u can feel lack of fresh flavour in everything. Chicken malai tikka is so hard, and surprisingly u can see the plastic cellophane wrap over the cut cucumber salad too.

Absolutely love this place. I have been there for their Buffet and A La Carte with my friends and family and every time we have been there over the last few months the service has been amazing and food is top quality. Thank you to Babli and her lovely staff Lovpreet, Ektha for wonderful experience!

Underrated Hidden Fine Dinning with the price of street food… I am a huge fan of Indian food; had the pleasure of trying Indian cuisine in India and other many countries all over the world, this restaurant is top notch. It is not only about the variety of the food and the mouthwatering taste, it is about the decoration, the lighting, the comfy seating couches and most importantly the service. The staff are really welcoming and understand the art of customer service. My favourite dish was not present at the buffet, I asked the chef and he said that they do not offer today, few minutes later the server approached our table and said that the chef is preparing it and will be served in the buffet shortly, for me this is how employees go out of their way or take an additional step to ensure the satisfaction of the customer. Yesterday I walk out with a great feeling, the price I paid was negligible compared to the experience.

We came for late lunch buffet on one of the weekends. Service was decent as crowd wasn't much. Ambience was really nice and tables were comfortable. There were enough vegetarian options as well. Desserts choices weren't that great. Cakes were okay but ice creams were delicious. We paid total of 60 dollars for 2 of us.

We came here today for Mother's day with family and friends. 15 of us. The food was great! however, the man that was directing everything not sure if he is the manager but he is extremely rude, unprofessional, arrogant. We were almost finished our meal and he looks at our table and gesturing my sister and yells across the another table to get his information across and says "its mothers day today, come on are you guys done."? We were still finishing our meal and just an hour went by. His customer service skills were extremely beyond poor!!! I was so embarrassed that we even walked in that restaurant and tried to have a meal there. Never again will we come there again. Absolute disgusting behavior. This man needs to take customer service courses and learn how to interact with customers in a pleasant way. Not sure who would even allow this man to become a leader. We will definitely pass this on to other guests about the service. Disgusting disgusting disgusting and disgusting. If there was a zero on this scale that is what I would be picking.

Today we had a family get together in Indias Tase restaurant at Mississauga. This is the fifth time I am visiting this place and I refer most of my friends. I thought It would be such a wonderful place for our get together so we travelled all the way from Scarborough to Mississauga. I have 17 months old kid, My wife was feeding him after his meal he suddenly vomited. My wife requested manager to send someone to clean the area for hygiene reason. They didn’t turn up after a while an employee came near to us with an plastic bag and towel informed us to clean the floor. That was very rude we argued but they were stubborn so we cleaned it. Before leaving I spoke with the Restaurant owner about the rudeness of his staff, instead of apologizing he also showed his rude face to me and he told if your kid did a mess it is your responsibility to fix it. On top of that he questioned me that will you clean my baby mess than why should We do? If I own a restaurant yes I will, Because it’s my business. I have never left a negative comment in my life, I can only say my experience with both food and service at Indias Taste was really bad.

Great selection of grilled food. Lamb chops are usually not that great when you go for buffets but this place should get credit for their lamb chops.

You will definitely get a variety of options that will quench your palate. I loved them all. One of my favourite dishes was the dragon cauliflower.

Biryani was also one of the top choices on my list. It was too spicy for me but that kick tied the whole dish together.

Overall this place won't disappoint you.

Great ambience, excellent staff who will always greet you with smile. The owners are also friendly and buffet has so many items to offer. We sometimes do go for al-a-carte and the best thing we go for is chole bhature. Just fill yourself up and relish it.

FOOD:
We had come here on a Wednesday afternoon at around 1:00 pm for lunch. When we had walked-in, we were asked what we would like to drink; we both settled on water. Once we were given our water, we had asked if we could start on the buffet. We then made our way to the buffet which was at the back of the restaurant. We were quite surprised when we saw how much food there was available.

On one end of the buffet, there were a lot of appetizer items, such as spring rolls, fries, samosas, pakora, and other smaller finger-foods. In the middle of the buffet, there were the curries, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, and other meat/vegetarian dishes. It was quite an abundance of items which made us happy to see! The last section of the buffet had fruit and salads, with quite a large number to choose from. There was also a section with a few cakes, and an ice cream freezer.

In terms of the naan, we were asked at our tables which type of naan we would prefer (plain, butter, or garlic; we chose plain and butter). In terms of the food quality, we found it to be very delicious as all of the items were very well-prepared, with a wonderful taste. I really enjoyed the butter chicken as I found it quite tender, and highly-appetizing. The appetizers such as the spring rolls, samosas, and roasted potatoes were delicious, and addicting as well! Overall, we were highly-impressed with the food quality, definitely well-worth our visit!

ATMOSPHERE:
When we had first walked into this restaurant, we were shocked at how beautifully decorated it was! At the front of the restaurant, there was a cascading waterfalls, with a large wine rack with many bottles of wine stored behind glass. As we walked to our seats (which was a comfortable booth near the bar), we were impressed with the elegant light fixtures that donned the ceiling. We also loved the decor that was placed on the walls, along with how clean and inviting the restaurant was. Definitely one of the best decorated buffet restaurants that I’ve ever been to!

SERVICE:
When we had entered the restaurant, we were asked by a server at the front where we would like to sit. We were then brought to a booth near the bar, which was a bit tight however, we made-do with what we had. We did notice that at times, it was difficult to get a hold of someone in order to place an an order of naan bread or ask for water however, when we did find someone, we were able to get service right-away. Also, we loved how our dirty dishes were taken away very often once we had finished eating. Definitely great service for the most part!

COST:
2 Lunch Buffets ($15.99/Person) = $31.98 + Taxes = $36.14 (Total)

WOULD YOU RETURN?
Without a doubt! We found the food, service, and especially the cost to be well-above our expectations!
