Review Kk Sushi - Mississauga

I was skeptical to try this place because of some of the bad reviews here but I found the place to be amazing actually I don't understand the bad reviews at all. We went for the AYCE and had a wonderful experience. Sushi was fresh and delicious and they had other options too. It is an amazing halal sushi place . I will definitely come again

We had an all-you-can-eat Sushi and Sunday Brunch here. The waitress were very kind enough to give us suggestions on what to order, and everything we ordered were excellent. They have a great selection of menu and the food was served quickly and were delicious. Will visit again and highly recommended.

Good Halal Japanese Restaurant in Mississauga. Menu has good variety, don't go for buffet if you don't eat much. Buffet is on expensive side.

Excellent. Just perfect. This place is a relatively good sized restaurant that has consistent and respectful waitresses/ servers that deliver your food immediately. Everything comes within 5 minutes of ordering and the warm foods are still warm. The best 3 hot foods there were the udon noodles, cheesy wonton (so crunchy), and the chicken katsu cutlet. Everything tasted pretty authentic. And the rolls were absolutely delicious, so unique and flavourful. Get the cheesy wontons they are just everything! The sushi pizza was also loaded with the salmon and California topping, they are not cheap. They also have a great dessert menu with ice creams, mousse cakes, sesame balls, and fried banana. I came for lunch menu on a weekday so i paid $25.99 for myself and it was WORTH IT. They also consistently fill up the water. The only 2 complains I would have is the wasabi wasn’t strong and the sauce for the cheesy wonton had no flavour, but that’s not a huge deal compared to the pros. Will definitely love to come again, I hope they keep up the great work!!!!

It’s not bad, the sashimi is cut thicker then most places and the green dragon roll we ordered was pretty basic. The upside is if you pay cash on take out orders you get 10% off.

This review has nothing to do with the food ( which isn’t that bad) but more the service that I had received. I understand that this place is all-you-can- eat, so naturally they’re going to be busy. I placed an order for pick up where I ordered 1x salmon avocado 1x tuna avocado 1x miso soup I paid for the food and left, naturally assuming my order was there ( as most people do) I get home, and there was clearly a miscommunication on the phone, and the lady taking my order heard just “avocado” as opposed to “salmon avocado” The phone call was 30 seconds long ( if not less) as the lady was in a rush to take care of other things. Once I had noticed the mistake I called her as a simple courtesy to inform her of her mistake and NOTHING ELSE. This lady had the audacity to lie to me over the phone saying she had confirmed the order with me TWICE. She had not confirmed the order with me once over the phone and the lady that handed me the order was different than the person over the phone ( distinguishable by the accent) and no confirmation was given on her end either. 2 things I hate in life: cheaters and LIARS. The fact I had spent $1000’s of dollars here and finally got a taste of there customer service is absolutely disgusting. Foods a 3/5 Service 0/5

Although this place looks a bit outdated and old from the outside, it is a gold mine. The interior is VERY nice and it is an incredible spot to bring your family or friends. I came here for a hangout with a few friends and we really enjoyed our experience. What I love about this place is that the chicken and beef are all halal. This is phenomenal since peers that do not like raw fish can easily enjoy food here as well. Price is VERY reasonable, I look forward to coming back here in the near future

When it comes to Japanese restaurants, Ontario has got innumerable eateries serving soul pleasing Japanese food! I was craving for some Ramen for long so I decided to take my friends to a nearby Japanese eatery. KK Sushi happens to be the only pocket friendly Japanese joint at the food hub of Dixie Road, Mississauga.<br/><br/>This place happens to be pretty impressive when it comes to sushi, teriyaki chicken and tempura though I found the Ramen could have been tad better! Though I finished off (till the last drop!) my bowl of Chicken Katsu Miso Ramen and enjoyed a bite or two from my friend’s Chicken Teriyaki Bento combo meal! Frankly speaking the bento box was a great deal at $19 where you get Miso soup, green salad, stir fried vegetables, chicken teriyaki, California roll, tempura and steamed rice! The juicy chicken teriyaki and authentic California roll clearly stood out, surely I will try them again next time.<br/><br/>Quite a nice place to have Japanese on the go with a pocket pinch of $40 for two! I’ll rate it 3.5/5!<br/><br/>Cheers!

Every visit here is different, at least in my experience.<br/><br/>Some days the service is extremely fast, on other days the waitresses seem to be missing.<br/><br/>Food is not bad, but if it wasn't for the Halal factor it wouldn't be worth the drive for me personally.<br/><br/>Orders do get mixed up and go missing, but come on, its an all you can eat.<br/><br/>Overall, not a bad place but it is on the expensive side for a sushi joint

The only thing why we choose KK sushi is because the foods are halal. The taste is good but not that great. The service is not really that good. Overall is okay I guess.

This is a average sushi place so I'm gonna give it a average rating. Nothing that special it's not that bad, 50$ for two all you can eat after tax to me wasn't worth it.

Overall a very good restaurant for those who prefer quantity, but taste is also quite good. Food seems to get served at a decent speed but not the greatest. The halal menu is very tasty, no complaints about anything I order from there.<br/><br/>Would reccomend for anyone who wants to try sushi or is looking for a sushi joint

Friendly and quick service, but my rating went down because of the sushi quality. It just wasn't great but it was ok. A lot of things were too saucy. I also like my sushi cold.. and when the rice is warm it just doesn't taste as great. It kind of gets mushy in your mouth when it's warm. Still, it's a decent sushi restaurant, although if you want the best in town, you have to go to I love Sushi on dundas and Islington. Nothing compares to it.

Good Food. Good food and plenty of options. Staff is great ..... but service is slow. Kitchen problem? So if you go for all you can eat, order a decent amount in one go.

Great Food - Ok Staff - Not Bad for Lunch Takeout. I come here for lunch takeout all the time since it is relatively close by to where I work. The food is always great - flavorful sushi rolls, salads, and good attention to detail in preparation. The staff are usually swamped for the lunch service - so that's why I say "Ok Staff" - but other than that - its a good place to go for lunch. <br/><br/>Try it out :) I don't think you'll be disappointed by the food.

Charged hoilday prices on Dec 31st when in fact its not. Also an automatic 15% gratuity for party over 8 ppl. Most places charge only 10% for party over 10 ppl. Doesn't offer free drinks with these prices where most other places do. Food was average but slow and it wasn't even that busy (l

Horrible service. We would be trying to get the waitress' attention but all of them would look directly at you and walk right past. Happened at least 7 times. Took about 15 minutes to get a refill. The sashimi was great; everything else was average or below. We waited 20 minutes for beef teriyaki but was told we never orderded it but if still wanted it they would put in the order. If the service was good, I probably would come back but there are MUCH better places with better food and service.

One of the best sushi place I have been too! The sushi is always fresh to the point where it literally melts in your mouth!! Come here at least once a week!

All you can eat was amazing!. We knew the place was good from the moment we walked in because there were already quite a few tables seated and the server was busy especially since its a monday night. I can only imagine how busy they would be on a friday or saturday night. We were impressed with the extensive selection on the all you can eat menu. Lots of appetizers soups salads and they had a good selection of rolls and fresh sashimi. They even had sushi pizza which was great! Our food was prepared really fast and we ordered a lot. I like that they include dessert and dont have surcharges for stuff that should always be included like tea or ice cream. Really good value for the money and we will definitely be going back.

Very good - will definitely be back.. I was very impressed with the food at this place. The salmon sushi and sashimi was melt in your mouth. The rolls we ordered were definitely made fresh and were very tasty. The rice texture was perfect - not falling apart, but not overly sticky either. Also tried to red chicken curry and the green shrimp curry and thought they were both very good. Especially considering it's a sushi restaurant. Dinner was $21.99 for the AYCE which is on par for the area.

The fewd wuz lackluster. It was void of much flavour. The wait staff was attentive but had difficulties with English. The water was horrible.

Wonderful Staff!. I really love the staff at KK! I have been there only a few times yet they always remember me and exactly what I ordered last time. Their sushi is certainly good for the price and their all you can eat menu has a lot of wonderful options on it!

Beyond horrible. Had 20 ppl reservation on saturday sept 17/2011- let me tell u .... the owner was ridiculous. horrible attitude. unbelievable. the service was horrible. we got 2 hrs to have all u can eat sushi but our first order didnt come until 45 mins. and when we wanted to order more food, the owner started flipping out. it was embarrassing because it was some one's bday. the stuff we did order the first time didnt come at all. ICE CREAM was not included, actually no deserts were included. I M NEVER GOING BACK EVER . she charged $10/person for tip mean while we got no damn service

Decent Food and Staff. I've been here 3 times now.<br/><br/>The food is good.<br/>The service is about average.<br/>It is a smaller run shop with less staff than some of the bigger places.<br/>The owner (or manager maybe?) is nice and has come to our table 2 out of the 3 times we've been there.<br/>The price is compartive to other AYCE sushi in the Toronto area.<br/><br/>My only real complaint is having to pay extra for Tea/Soda compared to most places. I understand that it is a smaller business and doesn't have soda on tap.<br/><br/>The KK Roll is great.

Nice atmosphere, tasty food, good service!. I'm surprised by the reviews, we had a great experience at KK Sushi and wished we had bought more vouchers! We were seated right away & had 4 people who came around & asked if we needed anything throughout our dinner. We got a sushi platter, yakatori, a tempura platter, and some maki sushi. Dinners came with salad, miso soup, and ice cream. Everything was yummy, fresh, and excellent. They also brought us a few dishes on the house that were good as well! Everything came to about $52 (incl 2 beers), we had the $40 Dealfind voucher (no problems redeeming) & gave a good tip for the excellent service.

Kk sushi was the worst experience ever!!! The food was horrible and so was management. The manager is a total turd. Food was overpriced and all orders were messed up and u had to ask 4 ppl for water that did not come till 10 Mins later. Very disappointing!!!!!!

Great service and food. We went for lunch and both the service and food was great. The owner came over to see how we were and the overall experience was great. Nice to sit down and eat sushi in the neighborhood in a place where they actually worked on creating an atmosphere.

Excellent!. We tried KK Sushi for the first time (Jan 6 2011), for dinner. It was delicious! The food was fresh, service was great and the decor was lovely. For an All-You-Can-Eat option, it was excellent. Plus, the prices were very reasonable.<br/><br/>We will definitely be back!

Worst Food ever.. I went to this place last week with my girl friend to have some fine japanese food. <br/>Now, we have been to many many Japanese places including sushi buffets and we have never tasted anything this bad before. <br/>I was actually surprised with bighearted reviews that were left on urbanspoon (80% positive). Here is my terrible experience at KK sushi. First we ordered Seafood Udon ($12) & Golden Dragon Roll ($13). Udon was sour. Tasted like a soup of vinegar. Right away I knew the noodles were gone bad. So we had to ask our server to take it back. We ate Golden Dragon Roll and ordered Maki combo-A dinner set ($14). After quite some time, we got our dinner set and were very disappointed. Salad it came with was all soggy and brown, and Tuna Maki tasted like a jelly you get from Dollar stores. We did not finish our meal and left.<br/><br/>One more to add, store manager lady did not accept our living social groupon voucher I have purchased on online because I had it on my iphone app. I've explained to her about living social's fine print (which clearly states "print or show the voucher code on your iphone or android phone) but the store manager declined and said Living social is making a faulty statement and started giving us an attitude. <br/><br/>Although servers were super nice I'm not going back to that place ever again. Horrible horrible experience with manager's management & quality of the food. I got home that night with an upset stomach and wasted $33 for some dog food. <br/><br/>If you want to get some fresh sushi, go elsewhere because this store manager is obviously getting her fish from some dollar store.

Nice interior, tasty sushi, the service is charming and amusing.

KK Sushi is the only AYCE sushi restaurant with great service, excellent sushi at reasonable prices ($21) in Mississauga. This place opened up a few months ago and every time I've gone its been excellent. It's also one of the only places I've been to that has red tuna on their AYCE menu.

Since the change in ownership the qualiy has dropped. It was my favourite local sushi restaurant.

Great food but 1 waitress can be kinda moody. The chefs are well trained and the food very fresh and authentic. A bit pricey, but for quality comes a prices. Chairs or Japanese traditional cushions w/ low tables & boothes set a nice atmosphere. Definitely worth the trip-you will return...gladly.
