Review Cafe De Khan - Mississauga

Cafe de Khan is Mississauga's best kept secret. My first time there, but NOT the last... I'm an old skool (Punjabi) foodie with an appreciation for delicious foods and authentic Pakistani flavours! You know the place is good, when you're already planning to return with your foodie friends to highlight this 5* GEM in this city!

Over priced restaurant,food quality and quantity is not sufficient. We ordered Behari boti and Matkka gosht, matkka gosht taste like home ordinary curry.Behari boti taste is fine not good as previously i ate at same place. Naan comes with oil literally it was pouring doing. Before covid there food taste extraordinary but now it is not good.

Went to celebrate Eid ul Adha with a friend. The food tasted good. However, it can be improved in terms of taste. We ordered beef Chapli Kabab and Beef Seekh Kabab with Naan and Puri paratha. Naan and puri paratha were on point. Entrées I feel lacked some salt and a bit of spices, pretty mild, unlike the authentic taste of these dishes but not too bad. Chutney and Raita were really good. Overall, may be worth a visit or two.

Best ever chicken quarter leg tikka I have in GTA. Must try with their chef special chutney and their bihari both as well. My must go to place every month.

This place was awesome, the food was amazing, really full of flavours. The service was not that good, very slow, but the food make up for it, the place itself was nice. Will definitely go again.

Chicken biryani is really good. And good portion too. Around 20$ for boneless white meat. Order ahead even it’s not busy because they put effort and always fresh!!! I see people complaining about time. I mean, you want them to slap a couple meats together and serve it to you. They take pride making sure you are satisfied. Owner is very nice guy. I m a critique when it comes to reviews.

We went here for Iftar the food was nice service was ok place was a little cramped due to size but still good. Iftar buffet: $27.99 Adult/ junior 4-11 $15.99 3 and under free Appetizers: Veg Samosa, Veg Pakora, Chapli Kebab, Tandoori chicken, channa chaat, salad, Fish pakora and chutney Mains: Nihari, boneless chicken curry, bones chicken karahi, some Veg dishes, chicken biriyani, bihaari kebab. Desserts: Gajar Halwa and Gulab Jamun 1 major flaw of this place was they did not top up the food fast enough and left dishes empty we had to wait 10 mins for naan and they still didn't seem fresh. Felt like oven naan not tandoori.

Terrible customer service. Absolutely no regard for time! Ordered food in advance for pick-up, had to wait for 2+ hours along with a long line of disgruntled customers waiting to pick-up their orders. Good food but with this level of customer service, there are much better options available.

Without #Maryam this place cannot work!! #Maryam is very hardworking server who does almost everything. Now About �, biryani was better than other places (best one is at bbq tonight) bihari kabab was dry and salty, chicken kabab and tikka was tasty. Waited for 30 min. But again #Maryam is the saving grace.thank you

Very very disappointing. They don't know what actually bar b q is all about. It was like a below average Karachi restaurant food which is over priced for no reason. Would never recommend anyone to go there. Tikka was like they made out of pigeon instead of chicken. Waste of money.

Taste was so good , grilled stuff is juicy and tender from Inside and properly cooked from outside. Parathay were to die for. They served us literally in 5 to 10 minutes and Bhari boti, chicken seekh , chicken tikka and parathay were exceptionally good. surrounding was too close but nobody notice because of tasty food.

Food is good except for the basmati which is not really basmati. It's more like Uncle Ben's parboiled rice. If it's not Uncle Ben's, it's some other brand but definitely parboiled. I don't see a problem with buying real basmati rice, all indo-pak restaurants have it and it is eamsily available in many Asian stores. Other than that, the food was good. A bit on the expensive side.

We went there today again and compare to last few times i found prices were high and quality is gone really bad. Malai tikka was dry and food was cold. They need to improve on quality

Bihari kabab not soft at all and chicken biryani so bland. And is that basmati rice because it sure doesn’t taste like it. Take out for almost $37 for two dishes and a naan I was expecting a lot more!! What’s up CDK??

Superb food. Amazing Beef Behari Boti, and Naan and Paratha to die for!

The place is nice and cosy. They need more staff. Food was very tasty however they need to keep the dessert which they promise.

We went their today... Excellent taste but extremely bad Quantity ! It is quite expensive, but for the taste anyone who likes quality food would be willing to pay that price. But the quantity is extremely disappointing. They should really work on increasing their quantity (of the food, not of the side salads!!!) so one can think of coming back more often !

i loved the food ..but quantity is very small ....if u compare with the price too high...and sometimes we order for roll kabab only for take out. .they took 45 min for such small order ...staff is not efficient ....thy should check the tail paani of the staff. .. ;) lol

I live in Brantford and try this restaurant every time I visit Mississauga. Best Pakistani food in Canada. Bihari kebab are mouth watering and service is awesome as well.

It was my first time coming to this resturares after many requests from friends and family and sadly I could not share the same experience they had in the past when I ate on June 30th 2018. The food took around an hour to come and they missed the number of naans we asked for and when we explained to them that we didn't receive the right amount my family was met with rude service from the waitresses and had to ask 3 times for naan that we were missing. They told us after 30 mins that they weren't able to give us one of the dishes because they had ran out. This place looks nice email d is fairly clean but the service and employee do not meet those same standards that the restaurant shows. I will not be eating here again and would recommend others to take their money and more importantly their time to another business that will treat people like me and my family with respect and proper service that a restaurant should show.

Ambiance:<br/><br/>A decent size restaurant with seating at capacity. Great for families or anyone who is looking to grab a quick bite. <br/><br/>Food:<br/><br/>Bihari rolls: (in paratha) these are amazing! The kabob is cooked to perfection. It is a little spicy but full of flavor<br/><br/>Chicken Biryani: definitely have had better but this wasn't too bad<br/><br/>Chicken karahi: this was very delicious. They top it up with fresh ginger and coriander. This was oozing with flavor and was the highlight of the evening. Paired with fresh Naans <br/><br/>Nihari: it was good! <br/><br/>Service: they were attentive, the food did take longer than usual to arrive even though it was not as busy but the quality made up for it

My family of 16 people came for dinner one night as we had out of town visitors. We chose this place because they were halal and the cuisine looked appealing. Upon arrival we were seated as normal. We waited about 20min for the waitress to come around and take our drink orders. At that time I ordered a variety of dishes for everyone at the table to share and we waited on our drinks. We waited about 30min before any of our food came out. When it finally came out they brought 2 small bowls of curry only..... no naan, no rice nothing. Finally when the waitress returned I asked her about all our drinks as we did not get them yet (apparently the kitchen ran out of glasses) and when naan would come out as our curry was getting cold while we waited. She said she didn’t know and was going to ask the kitchen. Another 15min go by and she bring out 5 naans...... for the next 45min it was like Russian roulette as dishes came out of the kitchen one at a time. keep in mind we are a group of 16 adults. It was very unprofessional. As a family restaurant that offers a family style dining you would expect all the food to come out together in order for everyone to be able to eat. The price you pay per item was not of value for the serves or food we received. Our curry ended up being cold, our biryani did not have flavor, our naan came out sporadically and all this time our waitress we so rude to us.

Last night we went there me and my husband. It was birthday. And we ordered Beef pishawri, chicken Karahi and Lamb biryani. It was sooo good that my mouth is still watering. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.

After having a friend referring us to this place, we decided to check it out. <br/>We ordered karahi chicken and asked the waitress to recommend a different flavor of chicken masala and she said everything on the menu tastes the same as the karahi masala! So we decided to order chicken biryani. It was decent but too soggy (clearly too much water when cooking it)! <br/>

Pleasant staff and a clean place. The issue here are the tiny food portions and premium prices. This restaurant chain originated in Pakistan and was a big deal there (still is) thus the prices. But the food most certainly does not match the price tag, in taste or portion size. The Its like the portions were designed for budgies and other small birds rather than humans.

Hopeless. We ordered chicken seek kabab, chicken boti kabab, Tikka and paratha . Just a waste of money ..no taste, no flavour at all. I don't know how people found their food good, makes these reviews doubtfull. Funny thing is that the price is too high and very small portions..honestly such a rip off . Never ever going again.

Waste of Money. I was so looking forward to dining out at CDK, unfortunately, I was really disappointed. Should have gone to Eddie's Wok N' Roll in the same plaza.<br/>The waiter messed up our order Twice, the portion sizes are very small...thought they were appetizer samples...and way over priced.<br/> I would rather eat the bottom of leather Chappals then to eat their overcooked Kabaabs. Never went back or will. Save your money.....even the frozen kabaabs you get from your Desi Grocery store taste better.

Bad food. Horrible food poor service never going there again- bad bad bad food

Average food, measly portions. Went for there for dinner with my wife. We got there at about 8 on a Saturday night. Not surprisingly it was packed, however the wait staff was very accommodating and was very quick to clear a table as soon as the diners left.<br/><br/>We ordered , malai tikka, seekhkabab, bihari kabab and chicken tikka. Here's a summary of our experience.<br/>The Good:<br/>Polite and efficient wait staff<br/><br/>The Bad:<br/>Mediocre food. The boneless chicken tikka was dry and bland. Other stuff was barely average.<br/>Tiny portions. Six small pieces of malai tikka, one tiny seekh kabab and hard rice.<br/>High prices. Total rip off, the owners don't care, just living off the name to pull people.<br/>Long wait times. Food arrived 40 minutes after we placed out order, when the restaurant was half empty.<br/><br/>The Ugly:<br/>Horrible cramped seating. <br/><br/>Avoid this place till they clean up their act.

Horrible experience, the food was decent, but unremarkable but and we had an incredibly rude and sarcastic waiter who mocked my mother, whose 60th birthday we had gone to celebrate. Avoid.

I had the chicken boti for takeout, it was pretty good, however it could use more flavour. It is also quite pricey.

Decent food. Very good indopakistani restaurant. The bihari kabaab and matka gosht (lamb) were amazing. Seekh kabaab and and chicken karahi were good too. I also ordered the boneless chicken tikka, which was bland and disappointing.

Nice. I tried their food few times and like most of the dishes. My wife likes 'matka gosht' and their nans are very tasty.. would return for sure

Overpriced bad food. I returned to Cafe de Khan today after sum great experience in this restaurant long before however today I was disappointed by the whole experience. I suspect tht the restaurant is under new supervision since my last visit. They have increased the price way too much and quantity is way below. we ordered chicken shashlik, bihari kabab and chicken karahi. Chicken shashlik was untasteful beyond belief as it was in curry form and had a very strong sweet and tart. Bihari kabab was really gud and may be the only thing tht saved the meal. Chicken karahi's had no tomatoes which is the key ingredient in the dish. I remember visiting the place last time and had an amazing experience however wont be returning.

Cafe de khan. I have tried every thing on their menu and there is nothing on it i didnt like. if you are thinking of a great night and excellent food must give it a try. recoment any thing from their BBQ items oo that Tikkah was yummmi in my tummy.
