Review Pho Dau Bo Restaurant - Mississauga

Mikey
This used to be my wife and my go-to place for Vietnamese food cravings when we lived near the area. It is family run and service is very efficient. There are some unique noodle bowls with fried shrimp cakes, and crispy spring rolls that I've rarely had elsewhere. Can't complain for the prices. I was pleasantly surprised when I went back to see that it has been renovated. The interior is now brighter than the dim setting from before. The food is also still reliable, as the grilled meat was well-seasoned.

This is the favourite place of my friend's husband for Pho. We went to this restaurant and ordered Grilled Pork Chop with Steamed Rice, Grilled Chicken and Fried Egg with Steamed Rice, Chicken Rice Noodle Soup, Vermicelli with Grilled Shrimp on Sugar Cane and Spring Roll. Pho comes in different sizes from small to extra large and so many choices either with beef, beef balls, flank, chicken, tripe, tendons. Food is good, service is quick and price is very reasonable.

The Pho Soup from here was simply fabulous, out of the 4 people who tasted it, it was loved by everyone. My son in law said it was the best he has ever tasted outside Vietnam. We drove there and ordered to take out and were shocked at the speed of service, it was ready and bagged up superfast. Have big bowls at home to assemble in if you get take out. I highly recommend thus place.

This was my first time trying traditional pho at a Vietnamese restaurant and my experience was incredible. The food was amazing, from the pho to the Vietnamese deep fried spring rolls. Not to mention, their avocado milk shake is a must try! To top it off, the staff and manager of this restaurant were very welcoming and I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to try traditional Vietnamese food! :)

I have been here several times, and it has been one of my favorite restaurants for Pho and com tam (grill pork rice). I ordered takeout yesterday and is about to have it for the lunch today. I notice something weird in my plate and I take closer look. Omg it's the worst experience that I have came across (!) to find out there is a dead crockroach hiden under the pork steak 😫😫😖😖 fortunately I havent started the meal yet 😤😤 I call them to report the issue but they just promise to reimburse me another box whenever I come to the restaurant. Omg who dare to revisit them after experiencing this 😮‍💨😮‍💨🙄🙄 Too bad I will no longer come back here, please work on your kitchen hygience, this is serious!!!

Not so fancy restaurant but the food tastes good. The staff were quick to respond to my request.

My go-to place for pho. Although I live in Etobicoke and pass probably seven or eight other places, I always come here. Quality, service and prices are excellent. Post Covid, they have made adjustments to their dining area. No longer do they have different sauces on the table. You will have to ask for them. Prices did seem to go up maybe by half a dollar, but still a great value for such a flavourful product. Yes, I will keep on passing those other pho place to come here.

Invited friends from out of town and they enjoyed the soup base here. There is nothing wrong with the location as they practice safe COVID rules. Friends from Vancouver will likely join and eat here again.

Best Pho I can find in Mississauga. Portions are massive compared to other places. Prices are cheap as well. I always come here for take out Pho...only complaint is there is not enough soup base for the extra large Pho because they give you so much meat and noodles!

I've been going here since I was young. Their broth in their noodle soups (esp. pho) is delicious and rich. Their other dishes aren't anything amazing but will do the trick if you are raving Vietnamese food. Service is typical of most viet places - if you need something flag someone down. When you are ready to pay walk to the cashier. I'm a regular here and it's always busy! Go here for a casual lunch or dinner, or if you want to take a parent for some traditional food. Otherwise look elsewhere for anything classier.

The service was ok, kind of had to find someone to pay my bill. Pho was all right, but mediocre. Wasn't terrible but I have had better elsewhere.

One of the worst hu tieu my tho kho I ever tried very tasteless. Pho soup is pretty good. Cafe sua da ( ice coffee) not the best at all but better than pho Asia coffee any day.

One of my faves. Definitely hands down, this is my favourite pho place in Mississauga.

I love the broth they use, and find the taste unbeatable and somewhat distinct from other pho places I've tried. Also, their prices and portions are reasonable - compared to some pho places I've been, which has ranged from awful to sketchy/questionable to alright/decent - but I have to say, this franchise takes the cake for me.

I recommend any of the pho noodle soups and especially the vermicellis! Their spring rolls are also very good. If you like avocado shakes, they also make it very well here.

Horrible service. The food isn't fresh, and the service is extremely poor. I regret coming

Good Vietnamese Eat In Mississauga. If you get the chance to come here and in the mood for some spicy noodle soup then I would recommend "#215 - Bun Bo Hue". I have tried this dish at many restaurants and this place definitely tops them all. They have good Pho and their rice dishes are actually "broken" rice, all at an affordable price. This beats Mcdonald's or any other fast food any day, and probably cheaper too.

The thing about Mississauga is that there is a plethora of well-known chains, so dinner options are kind of limited in my opinion. Even Vietnamese restaurants up here are chains with multiple locations throughout the GTA. Out of all the choices that we had, we chose Pho Dau Bo, cause it was a short drive away. Pho Dau Bo serves traditional Vietnamese food at reasonable prices. They're located in a nondescript plaza, and offers minimum decor. However, they are always bustling with customers on both weekdays and weekends. I have been to this Pho Dau Bo at least three times in the past two months. They make pretty solid rice dishes, so I have always ordered the same rice dish. My regular order is always (#469) grilled chicken, grilled pork chop, shredded pork, steamed egg, and fried egg with steamed rice ($8.25). This dish was generously portioned, and came with a bit of everything that I like. Both the grilled chicken and grilled pork chop were flavorful, and fairly moist. Additionally, the overall presentation of the rice dish was pretty decent. The brisk and non-conversational service is exactly what you come to expect from any Vietnamese establishments in the city. So for me, the service isn't really a factor when it comes to choosing a Vietnamese restaurant to eat at as the food quality is much more important to me. I find the food at Pho Dau Bo to be pretty consistent, and I have never had any issues with them. The portions are generous, and you can easily feed two people for under $25 (including tax/tip). Don’t fill up on tea they may provide when you sit down. You are having lots of fluids for your meal; you do not want to fill up before the pièce de résistance arrives.
