Highly recommended restaurant if you love south Indian food. They serve several varieties of Dosa, service was pretty quick and food was delicious. But I think the sambar could have been better.

We walked into Chutney Swamy expecting your "traditional" Indian cuisine. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised. The waiter sensed that we were a little lost with the menu and not only did he recommend items but told us how to eat it. It was absolutely delicious and different than anything that I've ever had. Also..bonus. gluten free options.
Will definitely be back, probably become regulars. Thank you for the wonderful treat.

I had visited this restaurant twice this week for dinner. The place is cozy, clean and the ambiance is pleasant. The staff were very friendly and engaging. The food tasted really good, both times. There are numerous varieties of dosa to please any taste bud. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to try good tasty south indian food.

My husband and I ordered two dosas and the samosa chaat for take out. All of the food was very flavourful, if a little on the spicy side for us, and the proprietor was very nice as well. There had been a slight misunderstanding (on my part) about the order, so he threw in another dose for free.

I have been here a few times with friends and family. The food was tasty and fresh. I usually get the paneer masala dosa and have tried the vada sambar. They could work on the portion sizes; compared to other dosa restaurants, they serve smaller dosas, less sambar and less variety of chutneys - for similar prices. The Punjabi waiter is very friendly and welcoming.

We went here on a Saturday and the place was surprisingly empty. However, the food was great. The service was quick and good.
I am often picky about south Indian food (probably since I know it well) and I definitely recommend this restaurant. Their chilli bajji, medu vada, masala uttappam and rava onion masala dosa is recommended. And don't forget to try their filter coffee, its pretty good!
So far, Gurulukshmi was the only South Indian restaurant in the GTA that I recommended with confidence to anyone. Chutney Swamy is right up there!

Delicious, yummy 100% vegan! Loved the dosa and chutneys! Waiting time is fine and price is very reasonable! Good place for family and friends who love vegan meals!

I have come here several times since it opened several years ago and the food is always DELICIOUS, HOT AND FRESH! I have tried everything from the chaats to the dosas to the uthapaams to the bhaturas and more! Their brunch is also great!!! This is the only south Indian place I go to! Growing up in the 90s and 2000s, this did place did not exist, and the ones I would go to with my family have all gone down in quality such as Masala Dosa Hut and Saravana Bavaan.

This place has 60+ Dosa varieties. We started with some starters like mirchi Bajji and Vada. They were really good. We tried Rava Masala Dosa and Masala uttapam. Uttapam was fantastic. Filter coffee was perfect!! I will definitely go back and try different varieties of dosa here:) Overall loved everything!! :)
