Review The Bier Markt - Mississauga

First of all, shout out to our server(the man with glasses), quirky and funny who served us on a Sunday evening. Being super busy, he forgot to serve us basic water, we got the drinks but not water. I wanted water without ice, but got it with it. Requested again. We got our food, and almost finished it. Were still waiting for water. Finally got what I asked for. He accommodated us, apologized for the incident and offered a discount for their negligence. Appreciate that! Food on the other hand, chicken pesto pizza was great. There could be more chicken on it. Poutine was dripping in butter, like ounces and ounces of butter. The portions were too small for the price too. My friend enjoyed his beer! Not sure if we will be back!

I loved this place! The waitress Naomi was super sweet and friendly! The strawberry beer was the best beer I ever had! And the food selection was great! I had the seared chicken with gogi berries it was delicious..... I was not crazy about the live band but it was still a great atmosphere......

I recommend the beer flights (taster menu) . If you're looking for a cold one and don't know which one to choose among the 150 beers, then this is your best bet. The 'on the lager side' one was the best. Apps can be pretty pricey. $17 + taxes for 8 chicken wings?! They were good wings but not worth $17. The chicken sandwich with fries was okay. The sandwich was great. The fries were soggy and over fried. Not sure if I got the end of a batch.

Pretty average food for the price. Apps are great, service is decent and the duck wings are divine. Nice ambience for a casual date or work meeting. Great beer selection. $1 oyster nights on Wednesdays but I gotta say, was not really impressed. No cocktail sauce, which i found unusual for oysters. Just horse radish, hot sauce and a shallot vinnagrete thing; had to mix my own with some horseradish and ketchup. Every great oyster bar I've visited has cocktail sauce available, theres just something about that combo of lemon, horse radish and the light sweetness of cocktail sauce that makes them truly delicious. Oysters on the small side and were brought out with lots of liquid/brine on top. Once you've had good, super fresh oysters it's hard to tolerate mediocre ones, though hard to complain for the price. Perhaps when you order them regularly @ $3.50 a piece they choose the best ones, and Wednesday's are when they unload the small and uninspiring ones. Overall I would say it's a great place for a few drinks and apps if you're a fan of craft and international beers, but theres better places to eat good meals for the price they charge.

Been meaning to come to this place fror awhile. More high end then I expected. Good food. Better staff. Emma was great. Would go again. Especially to try other beers on the menu.

The bar atmosphere is very nice here. Beer selection is mostly European imports. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Food was amazing, there was even gluten free dishes and drinks for our Celiac friend. I recommend this place for anyone looking for good beer, good food and good times!

Came here for drinks and a few apps to snack on. Great service, fast and friendly. MARKT G&T was great with some nice ginger flavour. Would come back again to try a full meal next time.

Great beer, bad bad food. The calamari we ordered was soggy and oily. The spicy sausage pizza had no spice or sausage. Go here for the variety of beer they serve but dont except good food.

Friendly, reasonable and good beer.
Tried the onion rings, the right crunch and not too oily.
The outside patio seating is great for summers.
I went in for lunch.

The place was empty, but I expected that from the weekday lunch hour.

The place was staffed for business and we certainly got the attention and best service in town.
The food and the drinks were great.

I will definitely come back with more appetite to try the burgers. The calamari and beef dip were outstanding.

Apps were really good. Had small chicken burgers served with fries. Beef burgers were good as well. The drinks served on the house were well prepared.

Excellent ambience at the heart of Mississauga close to Square One. Went with my friend. We ordered the 6 flight of beers recommendations were by the bartender. Along with that we ordered duck wings and onion rings which were sumptuous. I cant wait to be back for more as the drinks , food and ambience complemented one another so so well.

It gets very crowded and hard to find sitting at this place I like the Bier Market at Sherway Garden.

They have variety all over the country beers, apple cider and others to choose from.

During the summer they have an okay patio to enjoy a relaxing chilled beer or other Alcoholic drinks.

Overall experience it’s okay. I would visit one day if I want something close to home.

Table of 7. Our party ordered drinks, burgers, steak, all the available selection of schnitzel (veal, chicken, and pork). The food is hit/miss. Steak was over cooked, veal super Chevy. It's a nice place to sit down for drinks and food. Overall experience it was ok, nothing amazing.

I came here with some friends. The beer selection is good. I ordered a rare steak and got one that was very well done, which was a huge disappointment.

We went for a late dinner. I had the sliders and they were a bit burnt but good. Did not receive the salad I ordered. The waffle ice cream sandwich was not warm but dry and crunchy had to wait for the ice cream to melt to soften it up. Service was very slow. I think this location needs better management.

Really nice place, often hard to get into especially on a summer night. Ordered cheese fondue came with apples and other things but it tasted amazing! Waiting time for food took a bit long but over all great experience.

This place is solid. If you're looking for a cool place to have dinner or drinks after work and you want that downtown feel. Bier Markt at squae one does not disappoint. The wait staff is incredibly attentive and courteous. The food is delicious and fresh and the drink/beer menu is endless like encyclopedia Britanica. Definitely my fav place for chicken wings too.

Not bad. Very busy and loud. Just a warning you won't be able to hear anyone you go with. Good was alright. Disappointed that I had to pay $7 for a Bellini that was just a bit liquid than a shot. There's also no desert here. I'd say it's slightly over rated and the food is not worth it's price

The place has a great variety of beers and excellent service standards for beers. I wish the wait staff were more knowledgable about the types of beer as well as how they pair with food. The food menu needs to be more elaborate especially for vegetarians/vegans. The patio seating is amazing!

Nice decor and good service. The selection of beer is great. The food was good. Overall, it was a nice dining experience. They should add more vegetarian options to thier menu though.

Great Location - Typically Very Busy - Great Selection of Beer - Nice Selection of Apps & Mains.
I take the Bier Markt chain for what it is really - that is trying to bring the whole "German beer hall" environment in a commercialized "chain" fashion. The beer selection is definitely superb - you can get beers from all around the world! The food to go along with the beer can be upscaled a little bit - and tends to be more on the greasy side - but I can't complain. Great venue to hang out with your friends. Although be forewarned - this location typically has a line-up either to get in, or to sit outside on the patio on a nice summer day!

Could be better. Food was awesome! Staff wasn't the friendliest...

Not Impressed. Went there for my first time on St. Paddies day this year and it was a total disappointment. Hosts were blatantly rude upon entry and once me and my friends got to the bar we had to wait half an hour to get drinks. The place was clearly understaffed but on top of that the bartenders had a bad attitude. I was not impressed.

As a vegetarian I only had the options of flat bread and a poutine pretty much but I didn't wanna pay gourmet price for a basic poutine so stuck with flatbread which was a good recommendation , the perfect pairing with beer especially if you haven't eaten . Good banana beer .

Good time and good beer. I've been here a few times now and will be returning. Though the menu is a bit strange, I've enjoyed my meals (the poutines and fondue are really tasty). My advice: if you want to get the best experience, go to Bier Markt on weeknights or when it's not too busy. The waitresses know a lot about the beers and can make good recommendations, but when I've visited on Friday or Saturday nights, they seem too busy to really stop and chat. If you are going to Bier Markt on the weekend, be prepared for more of a club/bar experience (young crowd, loud music, crowded bar).

Nice to see my favourite beer there. I was invited to lunch at your Square One location last week and enjoyed my meal. The ambiance was great, the service warm and friendly and, to crown it all, I was pleasantly surprised to see that you stocked my favourite beer, Carib Lager, from Trinidad, which is widely available in most of the Caribbean islands that I visit. I am sure that I would be back soon, as I have just started to work in the area and I would recommend your restaurant to my friends, co-workers and relatives, if they have not yet visited it.

Weekend was amazing!!!. This place was packed. They had a band and a DJ, both were awesome. We had some food mostly appetizers, and beer, lots of beer to choose from. Service was great, very friendly.

Nice Restaurant. Went here for dinner on a Wednesday night and it was very good. The waitress was very personable and knowledgeable. I will try the weekend next I heard its very busy and they have a band and a DJ.

NOT GOING AGAIN. Not going to lie, I haven't been back in almost 2 months. But I just joined urbanspoon and had to make this my first review. Like a previous reviewer said: pizza's were nasty and did smell funny, wings were $17 for 7 pieces maybe 8. Drinks were a little watered down and the "live" band was a step down from karaoke. And although in all fairness our waiter was okay, the hosting staff didn't seem to care about our wait to get on the patio. It was from 8pm and still waiting for them to contact me to tell me our table is ready. Bottom line: Poor quality, over priced and could use friendlier staff. Not going again

Big Let Down. Went there for Sunday lunch. Server did not even introduce himself until 20 minutes into seating. We had to wave down another server who took our drink & food orders. We were checked up on once by our original server. Complained to the manager, didn't seem to bother him too much. Went again about a month later at night for drinks. Takes about 15 minutes of just waiting at the bar to place an order, band was underwhelming, & food is expensive in relation to the proportion and quality. I don't really have much positives to say except that some individual staff were very nice & apologized several times for wait times. Definitely advise all to stay away.

Bier markt is awesome!. My girlfriends and I went to bier markt last Friday night and it was great, we had the best time! When we got there they were packed and we thought we might not get a table, but we ended up only waiting 2 minutes to be seated! The service was exemplorary, our server Matt was very knoweladgable about the hundreds of beers ( sorry biers ) they have in house! I have celiac disease so sometimes it's a bit tough for me to find something I can eat, we were informed that the chefs at bier markt are very accommodating and can modify almost any dish on the menu to be gluten free! I ended up getting the short rib and let me tell you, it was phenomanal! It fell apart in my mouth and the flavours of the beef paired with the beer Matt suggested completely blew my mind. Now I can almost never get desert at restaurants because of my gluten allergy but they had two options to choose from, two! I picked the chocolate mouse cake, it was to die for.

I would suggest bier markt to any of my friends and I think I will be taking my family here very soon.

CHEERS!

HORRIBLE FOOD, BARELY ANY BEERS AVAILABLE. Food was so horrible, pigs wouldn't eat it. Half the beers aren't available.
They make you wait outside in line so it looks busy, meanwhile its empty inside.
They do have a lot of staff which is the only plus.
Went on a saturday, didn't know if i was sleeping or if I teleported to India.
Been there about 5 times because its new and local so I thought I'd give it a try.
Not going back again.

Really not a good display of food or service. Everything seems a little off and like it's pretending to be something it's not. The tuna didn't look like tuna - looked like a fake version of tuna...who knows what we ate. The appetizer beet trio was a jar of grocery pickled beets and some dry, crusty, odd quinoa ball that didn't belong. The chicken was cold, bland and really small. The donut dessert was dry and flavourless. Everything just seemed to not be able to deliver what it promised. Disappointing to say the least. Do not recommend.

Food is nasty. We ordered 2 pizzas. Absolute worst pizza I have ever had. We couldn't even eat it because it smelled so bad. Way too much ice in my somersby.

The wings were way overpriced. $17 for a few chicken wings.

The live band was so bad it was a slight step up on Karaoke. It was so loud you could not hear the person next to you.

Also we were told that they will text us when our table was ready for the patio. Well let's just say we are still waiting for out text.

This place is a dump.

DON'T waste your money here.
