Bessy is your girl! She will take care of you. Sweet lady and service is on point! Came here for lunch with coworkers and we ordered from the hot table. It is authentic Italian food and you will leave full and satisfied. We ordered the eggplant parmigiana, veal sandwich and veal dinner plate. Since it was our first time she was so thoughtful she let us taste the various pasta dishes that day. Everything was yummy! We will be back!

This place has a homey feel and homestyle food to follow. Potatoes are seasoned well and aren't like the standard fried tots you get elsewhere. Bacon has a nice thickness. Quality food you'd make at home but without the hassle.

Have been here a few times for lunch and food is always excellent. Most recently I had the pasta meal with fish ($17). I stopped by just after 1 and there was no more fish but they had some in the back they were preparing and suggested to wait about 5 minutes for it - it was so worth the wait as it tasted delicious. The portion was perfect and same goes for the pasta and tomato sauce. They have a caferia type setup, where most of the food is already prepared and ready for plating and so service was pretty quick, was in and out in under 10 minutes. The staff is very friendly, space itself is small but does have about a dozen tables to sit down also parking is available but limited. Overall a great experience and tasty food, I recommend checking it out if you are looking for a quick lunch.

Very friendly family restaurant, they always make us feel super satisfied at our visits to the place. The food is awesome ,so tasty and fresh in daily basis. We have been catering several times and always is above our expectations. Looking forward to return and enjoy a different plate as they offer different choices every day. Highly recommended for any occasion.

Going through the reviews to find a 1 star because they were closed is unfair considering they were renovating 5 days ago. I am a frequent at Italian Express and I never leave hungry or dissatisfied. Love this place. I am there 3-4 times a week for lunch and have catered multiple times for kids birthday party and corporate functions. Everything is fresh and professional. Reasonably priced all around. From Traditional plates (tastes like Nona's) to more modern styled dishes. These guys are doing it right!!

Amazing food!!!
Everything they make is incredible, and you can really taste that it's fresh and homemade. It really feels like you're at home, because they're so warm and friendly. You can really tell that they're cooking from the heart and are passionate about serving authentically great food. You can't go wrong here.

I lived in the area for as long as this place has been around, but today was the first day I went to it. Went with both my parents and we absolutely loved the food, the rumours are true! They have hot plate items that have both local regular favorites but also daily specials to keep things interesting! But the real star is the service, so friendly and family feeling. I think the hostess name is Bessy, and you get the sense she is genuine and honest. She and her culinatry team are passionate and proud of what they've accomplished and they want you to be apart of the experience. I will be a regular here for sure! It was so tasty I forgot to take a picture of my meal, but there are plenty of pictures from other fans that do justice.

Great people and great food. I come here every time I’m in the area. They make everything from scratch and they change the menu daily. They do have staples which are consistently served daily like the lasagna and the meatballs. Too bad they aren’t open for dinner.

Catered for our team and and they were fantastic! So easy to work with, great prices and food was amazing. Portions were huge, plenty for everyone, it was so delicious kids and adults went back for seconds and some even went for thirds. Would have them do all of our team meals if we could!!

We ordered their terrific lasagna and two trays of pasta (alfredo sauce and tomato basil) for our hockey team dinner. The food was fantastic, arrived hot and fed an army of 11 year old hockey players, their parents and siblings. Ordering was super easy and delivery exactly as discussed. Would highly recommend for team events and gatherings in the GTA.
