Decided to go for the LIVE Restaurant Lunch Experience from 11:45 - 2 pm offered daily from Monday to Friday at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga and I was very impressed. They had a special prix fix menu for $18.95! What a great bargain for the quality of food presented. For starters a rich and delicious carrot and ginger soup and a spring salad mix, my entree was a generous portion of baked salmon atop a Mexican style rice with 2 spring rolls on the side, very interesting and for desert a wonderful rich and decadent slice of chocolate cake. Absolutely incredible! Also offered are a la carte items to chose from as well. Thank you Ashley for your most wonderful and exceptional service and making my dining experience very enjoyable. Will be back for dinner and a show very very soon!

LIVE Restaurant @ Living Arts Centre could be so much better than it currently is. It’s been there at the heart of the city for SO LONG but you never hear about it and it’s never a destination eatery. I’ve eaten the food and it’s not bad, it’s basically like a Kelseys or Casey’s and they try to set an atmosphere of dining hall sophistication but it doesn’t work. It also has a nice outdoor space for the summer months BUT you don’t really see a lot of folks going out there to eat outside. I recommend revamping the space to something truly artistic to reflect what the Living Arts Centre is all about. Hire a band or speak easy night. Or invest in a karaoke night. Put up local art and include artistic statues out on the patio and use some as table centre pieces. Re-landscape the plants and trees blocking the restaurant from street side views bc lots of ppl walk in that area. And actually invest in a good tasting menu with items that are basic but with a twist and offer some monthly specials so folks have reason to come back. And why aren’t there any ‘See a show + eat at LIVE restaurant’ offerings? When I was in Winnipeg, I visited the Human Rights Museum and they had a beautiful restaurant with outdoor space and a gift shop across the visitor’s hallway. The food was decent, they had specials, they had deals for an entry pass and a meal, they had healthy takeaway options you could enjoy in parts of the museum that were designated as okay to eat in. Theres lots that can be done at a small cost which will probably increase profits and food quality. Plus I’m sure Sheridan College students would love a place to relax, eat good food, and listen to live music or plays.

For over a decade we used to enjoy lunch buffet at Living Arts Centre. We were unpleasantly surprised to come across a sandwich menu, old mushy salads with sour dressing and hard core bread for the carrot soup that was untasty and unusually plain. We will sadly need to depart from the experience and the place. Truly disappointing.

Great service, delicious menu, and a nice view of the city centre. What else could you ask for?
