Review Godavari - Mississauga

One of my favorite Dosa place in GTA where you can actually sit down enjoy the ambiance and devour on your favorite South Indian dishes. Unlike other places staff is courteous and you won't be rushed to finish and leave. They make authentic Dosa varieties and coconut and peanut side chutney is so delicious. Love this place.

Very good ambience ! Lots of varieties . The place is very good if you have a family gathering or an office party . I really loved the ambience . Lots of varieties in the menu for South Indian food. I wouldn’t say this is the best South Indian food place but it’s not bad. For the ambience this place is great! Food I don’t really suggest it’s the best but still worth trying .

We went there for a Friday afternoon lunch (which, in a way, is also special) and has a great time. GTA area, somehow, has some amazing South Indian restaurants and this one is right up my alley. We went for Punugulu, Onion Pesarattu, Poori with Chole and a Dosa (can't exactly remember the name). All the four dishes were great - especially the Pesarattu. Chole could have been better. They should actually have a combination of Poori with Aloo Curry. Having said that, the food was amazing. The staff was good and friendly.

Godavari is a pure vegetarian restaurant which serves up simple and authentic foods you remember eating in your grandma's kitchen back home. Not shy of any flavours, everything is pure to its luxuriant taste. The owners originating from Hyderabad (India), bring you a menu inspired by a blend of Nazam and Andhra cuisine's. This is probably the first South Indian restaurant with the most distinctive menu in the GTA. Don't believe me. When was the last time you had Szechuan Noodle Dosa? Yeh. I didn't think so. The restaurant has a look of a an old English Club House, however, the food tasted amazing. The staff was friendly and courteous. Standard wait time for arrival of the ordered food. We ordered a Masala Dosa, one Gujarati Dosa, lemon rice, lime soda and Filtered Coffee. The food has a different flavor as compared to other south Indian food in GTA (a good different). I found aaloo Masala to be a little oilier than usual but tasted really good. Masala Dosa was good. The Gujarati Dosa was amazing. Tasted like a Thepla and tasted even better with Aloo Masala. Sambar was good too and so were all 4 chutneys (again tasted different, good different). The lemon rice was one of the best tasting dishes till date in the GTA. Must go to restaurant. I'm going back again.

Excellent food & decor. Visited with few friends for lunch. Have no hesitation in saying that we had the best dosa's till date. Yummy & crisp dosa's, chilli bajji's, poori & everything else tasted amazing. Restaurant is huge, very pleasant with nice decor & music. 10/10

Ambience is awesome. Food was great. Portion sizes for some of the dosas were a little less but overall loved it.. would visit again. The wait staff were very polite as well..

I went here with my family and it wasn’t very good. The bathrooms were really bad. They were stinky and gross. I ordered poori and it was SO oily and greasy. My daughter ordered masala dosa and this one was very spicy. The rest of the food was average so overall not that a great place in my opinion.

Delicious Vegetarian food! Loved the button idols, the 4 different varieties of chutney, the dosas and the raw Mango rice, gajar halva. We had been to the same place about a year and the half ago and the food quality and the taste is still amazingly the same. This restaurant is a must try! Highly suggested!

We had very high recommendations from our friends on the food and service....but to the contrary...THIS RESTAURANT IS NOT WORTH IT !!! The worst Service, the worst food, the worst attitude, we dined at the restaurant and it took them an hour and twenty minutes to bring out food for 2 while the rest of the 4 waited another 20 minutes. (The beverages were ordered with the food but they came out with the bill when we were ready to pay), So by the time all the food arrived the 2 two that were served first were already done their meals. one of the orders was delivered wrong and they had to take it back...took another 20 mins b4 the right order came back out. Food was below avg. No flavour, No "Authentic" south indian spices as claimed on menu. The utthapam was burnt and stiff, Sambar was all water....luke warm, no flavour at all...tasteless, dosas were below par at best, most of the food was left unfinished in the plate. upon speaking with the manager "Abbey" the reply was...two of the students we employ didnt show up for work today....Pretty Lame and stiff isnt it...no wonder thats the kind of food they serve. cant rate negative, otherwise would have. Would not recommend to Anyone. Save yourself the money and time. Abbey offered a 100% discount to Us, but we declined as that would have ethically declined us a right to review them....Maybe they were having a bad day...but they certainly ruined ours, Hopefully they dont reply back saying...we try to satisfy everyone, hope you find a restaurant that satisfies you....!

Food and pricing, both reasonably good but sambar requires a lot of improvement. It doesn't taste like it's from the grandmother (as their USP says on menu). Table service needs huge improvement "immediately" because most of times, the staff doesn't even meet basic expectations. For example, if they serve water in the beginning, they never check if you need it later too. And, when you ask for it, it arrives much later. In our case, it was 5 minutes after we had ordered the dessert, the staff confirmed that it's no longer available. The footfall is not very high but the staff still manages to looks disheveled. Parking in a bad weather is another issue.

We drove 150 kilometers just to enjoy our Andhra meal on sankranthi but it was disappointing.I would not recommend ordering a thali here.But the tiffins were good and the best was pornalu which should have been the sankranthi special sweet instead of badushah.

Poor service and below average food. Each individual in the party gets food at interval of 15-20 minutes. Even water is not served unless requested. Food quality and taste not like real Dosa.

Absolutely poor quality, stale ingredients. will not recommend, Plus the treatment of staff by the owners is disgusting.

Good food...quick service...enjoyed the traditional Andhra appetizers...the Peanut chutney & the Ginger chutney were exceptional...Punugulu & Alasanda vada were tasty & unique :)

After much hunger, headed to this place after noticing its name with friends. We ordered thali and dosas. Absolutely loved the Andhra taste in them and I totally enjoyed each and every bite of our lunch also loved the ambience as well . It's 10 on ten for all andhrites keep it up

Godavari is a lovely traditional Andhra experience. The different chutneys are amazing and we really liked the peanut chutney it was delicious. The best authentic idols and dosas I have ever eaten. I will go there again .

Bad service. Food is good. Appetizer came after the main meal was already finished. On a Monday evening there were only 2 tables busy even then the server was lost. There was no music and the empty restaurant felt haunted. No one came to even pick up the dishes for a long time.

This place is heaven for Telugu people in Brampton, after eating I remember Vijayawada babayi hotel and my child hood memories. Food is memories each item I ate here took me in time machine to my past and left a profound impact. I would love to come here and eat everyday if possible. People who tried this restaurant are lucky and the one who didn't eat here are missing heaven in Canada.

Godavari is one of the best Vegetarian delights I had seen in the recent past. Felt like at home. Food here is just "awesome". There is no compromise in taste and quality with a distinction in spice for Adults and Kids. Thanks to Sudha garu and team for such a nice Vindu Bhojanam. This is just a treat to any veggie lovers. We are lucky to have such a nice "Andhra" restaurant very close by:). Request the management to please maintain the quality.

Love this place, reminds my ammamma... Best place that you get the actual South Indian :))))
