To me the best place in Mississauga for your money, for under $12.00 you get a huge banquet burger with all the fresh topping, a large tray of fry's and a 8oz. drink.
I've been eating at C & Dubbs for over 10 years, and not once have they disappointed me. Massive portions and always made fresh. If you have a big appetite like myself, I highly suggest making a trip here, you will not be disappointed.
My friend suggested we eat here. We had take out. I had a cheeseburger and poutine. Even after a ten minute drive. The food was still warm. The beef was juicy and tasty. The poutine was good and wasn't salty, which is rare. For the price, this is a great stop.
Burger was great. Will eat there again.. I'm a burger guy and when I was told to try there burger I did. I was not dissapointed. Great tasting meaty burger for a good price. Maybe The Burgers Priest can take a lesson from these guys when it comes to a flavorful meaty patty & prices. Lol. I had The Summo Burger and barely finished it. Fries were good too. I will definitely go back again & again anytime I'm in the area.
As Good As I Remember!. I found this place when I worked at a music store just up Dundas. Used to make it a point to visit once a week. The store closed, and I rarely found myself in the area over the next several years, with the exception of a bar crawl with friends.
Fast-forward fourteen years. I recently moved to Mississauga, and, on a trip to the area for something or other, I noticed the sign. They'd moved out of their old location, and into a small strip mall. Curious to find out if it was still as good as I recall, we made it a point to visit on out next meal out.
Had a banquet burger, rings and a soda. Burger was still a good size, juicy and generous with the toppings. I might have fried the bacon a little crispier, but I won't fault them for that. Rings were awesome, and they have malt vinegar to put on them, which, IMHO, is a necessity. Regular vinegar is just wrong.
My only real criticism? Please, guys. I know you've been around for over fifty years. But if you're going to charge $20 for a meal for two, it's about time you bring yourself into the 21st century and offer your patrons the option to pay by debit or credit. Having a ripoff ATM (which charges an additional charge on top of your own banks fees for using an ATM other than your own) is not the way to do business any more, especially when you're getting a kickback from the company who put the ATM in there.
If your craving a burger...GO HERE!. I have passed this place for years and always thought it was a dump until I read some reviews. decided to give it a try and am happy I did! A few people and myself had there burgers and onions rings...nice big portions that leave you full (excellent value for the money), the burgers are fresh, I saw them put it on the grill,k love how you can pick your toppings. The burger is messy but that is what makes it so great. The onions rings were very good. If I ever crave burgers I will be returning here.
Not what I was expecting after hearing so much about this place. Okay guys. My first review after reading a million reviews from other users over the years.
So I finally tried this place after it being on my To Do list for a long time and if I had to describe it in one word: A'ight.
The order: Banquet Burger, Poutine, Banana Shake. The Damage: 'bout $14
Burger. Definitely big. A Kaiser is one of my favourite buns for a hearty burger so I dig that. Slice of processed on a burger is key, but you can't screw that up so no points there. Bacon was good. Had some thickness to it, but they were short and curly so not every bite was a banquet burger. The patty itself was just average- nothing unique or memorable about it. Gets points for size but that's about it.
Poutine. It was fine. Gravy was that typical burger joint gravy (light brown, salty and thick). Cheese curds were low quality, but generous. A lot of these places don't use real curds so I was was happy to see this.
Banana shake was great. Tasted like quality. Something is in there that gives it a unique flavour. I don't think it's fresh banana. It's probably the type of syrup they use or the type of ice cream. Either way, a very unique tasting milkshake.
Would I go back? Yeah why not, but only if I'm in the area. Not disappointed, but nothing I'll remember when I wake up tomorrow.
