Review Bombay To Go - Mississauga

First time try this famous dish Butter Chicken, It absolutely blew my mind šŸ’„ Freaking delicious and indulging, Iā€™m a small eater but I couldnā€™t stop eating till the last drop of the sauce, beautifully seasoned and cooked. Highly recommend!! I would definitely come back for thisšŸ˜˜

This place is definitely underrated, and deserves more recognition. Based on their proudly displayed 'best butter chicken in the city' banner, I had high expectations of Bombay To Go. They did not disappoint! As someone who can't handle food that is too spicy, but who does not want to compromise on flavour, this place does an excellent job of balancing those things. I usually ask for mild, and I don't feel like it is watered down at all; just the right amount of spicy, and great flavour. I originally tried the butter chicken here, and it is very delicious; get some naan bread to go with it, and it's one of the tastiest meals you can have. I stopped eating poultry due to animal welfare concerns about one year ago, and I love that they offer butter lamb. It tastes really good, and satisfies my craving for butter chicken despite my dietary restriction.

This is my go to place for Indian food. Being a picky eater myself I can definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic taste. Their portion sizes are very generous as well. A lot of places cut down on their quality and quantity ever since pandemic started but not this restaurant and I really admire you guys for that. Last time I was there to pickup the order the owner himself was in the kitchen and today he delivered the food himself. This speaks volumes to me how owner is so involved in how his restaurant is being run which is why itā€™s so high quality. Please keep your food quality and quantity the same. Iā€™m a regular customer and will remain šŸ˜Š

Best butter chicken in town and Iā€™ve tasted plenty. We have been coming here for years. Owners and staff are humble & awesome people. They always go above and beyond, very accommodating always! For instance when my daughter had a cold and wanted butter chicken I told her no dairy and our food was made with coconut milk. Garlic naan huge & tasty. In fact everything weā€™ve ever ordered here is simply delicious and portions are perfect. Thank you Stella & Asha

Love this place! Rainbow, the owner, is such a hospitable individual. Had such an amazing in house experience. Got a chance to attend a cooking class and witnessed naan making magic! The team here is so hardworking and friendly. The food is just as amazing. Highly recommend!!

Happen to be in the plaza doing a Rust Check, I am so glad I did because I found this amazing restaurant. The mango lassi was perfect, not overly sweet; the perfect mixture of yogurt flavor + mango to cool down the spices from the food. Veggie pakora was SUPER crispy and the homemade green sauce was PERFECT. Plus the portion size was really fair, would be a great lunchtime snack just to order this. I also got the North Indian style Butter chicken spicy, and I think this might be my favorite butter chicken I have tasted yet. The spice wasn't overly on the front, it built up over the course of the meal as a proper spicy dish should. By the end I was left with a huge smile and a bit of sweat on my forehead. Will definitely be back with the wife to try more of the menu.

OK well...I had lunch the other day at the Port Credit location. The owner Manish was so great, service was perfect and the food was incredible. I had the best butter chicken I've ever had. Definitely will be back! (Jeff Jones)

Ordered here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was tasty and good quality. Chicken was cooked perfectly and every dish had great flavor. We ordered the samosas, spring rolls, green chicken, tandoori chicken, Mattar paneer, butter chicken, okra and chicken Tikka with garlic naan and everything was delicious. Portion size and presentation was good as well.

I have been going here for three years. On several occasions, I have sent them emails to say thank you for a pleasant meal. I often order for pick up and I have never been dissappiinted. In three years I have never noticed lower quality. Flavours and preperation seem to be all top notch. It is always a pleasure to go in and chat with their staff... they are family owned and operated and I find them all kind and endearing. You get a sense of pride with their business through their cusine and their exceptional service. I will not go anywhere else for Indian in mississauga.

Nice ambience. Good service. Tasty food. Tried the Chicken Biriyani and Mattar Paneer Jalfrezi. Tastes home style. No strong flavours used. Biriyani was real spicy. Being new to Canada and not having tried spicy food much, it really hit our taste buds. Value for money. Should explore more here...a go again place...ā˜ŗ

Best Restaurent ever and addiction type of food.

This is the Restaurent you never gonna regret in your life and their menu offers wide variety of mouth-watering options starting from starters to deserts. Moreover their service is the best in deliveries as well as dining.

I highly recommend Bombay to go mainly because of their exquisite flavoured food.

LOVE THIS PLACE. ORDER FROM HERE ALL THE TIME WHILE AT WORK. Their garlic naan and shahi paneer are amazing. The sauce is delectable. Sometimes the naan may be a little too thick but still good. My peers rave about the butter chicken and other dishes. Good fast efficient service. One of my favorite Indian spots.

Excellent food and Service. I have yet to order something that wasn't high quality and fresh. My personal favourite is the butter chicken. Manish is very good at explaining the menu and making suggestions. My go to when I order in!

Best Indian Delivery, DELICIOUS FOOD !!! ...Great SERVICE ...!. Ordered first time from this restaurant on my birthday party, Very impressed from the restaurant food and the fast service.
It was last minute plan for the party and we all decided for Indian Food, we tried calling few restaurants they didn't have delivery service and then we called Bombay To Go to check if they have delivery service and they said yes they do delivery and that's their main business. We were really happy to hear that and they accommodated us for the last minute party order for 20 people.

The food was DELICIOUS and their service too was fast. Portion size was quite generous not even too expensive, I would say they have competitive price, which is fair for such a portion size.

I recommend the restaurant as they made my Day with such a delicious food. Everyone else in the party also enjoyed...!

Thank You Bombay To Go for being there to serve us for the kind of food that we love....!

Late, cold , food if thats what you like!!. It took them nearly 2 hours to deliver 5 kebob rolls. i mean really?? and to top it off they were cold and cost nearly $60......really??
$60 for 5 kebob rolls??? they are just taking advantage now that there is no competition around them now. i hope that changes very soon. a kebob roll should be around $6 to $7 each and it should be served HOT!!! never again!

Late but delicious. I ordered delivery from here for the first time tonight, My order was: veggie samosa, gosht karahi (lamb), garlic naan. On the phone I was told 60-75 minutes for delivery and it was closer to 90 minutes. To his credit though, the driver called me to say he was running late.

Once it was here though the food was great. The samosa was as good as anything I've had and the lamb was spiced and cooked well. The medium heat definitely had some kick so make sure you're comfortable with spice. The garlic naan wasn't the best I've had but definitely tasty. The portion size of the lamb was generous, enough for two people with another side or a salad perhaps.

Amazing food :). Trust me when I tell you it is the best butter chicken! The garlic Naan bread tastes so good...you can't have enough. The service is great! I won't even try another place cause it just can't better than this. Trust me you won't be disappointed. Side note ...in regards to spice. mild (no chile at all) medium (enough spice to hit the spot) hot (they really mean hot...you will be crying and will def. need a tissue at hand...great for sinus relief).

Great Food, Wonderful People. Take-out / delivery menu was delivered in the mail shortly after my fiancƩ and I moved to Mississauga a few weeks ago. We make butter chicken at home, but have been dying to try something more "authentic". The name gave the impression that this was take-out / delivery only, so we called to confirm that they do have a dine-in option.

Woman behind the counter gave us a menu, asked us to take a seat. Seemed a little rushed, but it was dinner time on a Friday night. We tried butter chicken and butter lamb, and were advised that "mild" would have no chili in it, so we were best to go with medium heat, which turned out to be an excellent choice. Also tried the naan bread with a side order of rice each. Rice turned out to be quite plentiful, and we could have split an order.

Owner recognized we were new to the restaurant, as he didn't recognize us, and came to sit with us for a few minutes after he noticed me sweating, and brought a handful of extra napkins. Very friendly fellow, told us the dine-in option is not nearly as popular as the delivery.

Will absolutely return, now that we've expanded our palate.

Expensive and Worthless. We just had butter chicken and nans, i have tasted way better food, The receptionist lied to us about delivery charges. Will not order again.

Worst Restaurant in Mississauga. I am regular customer of this restaurant. The lady who was taking my delivery order was very rude. I had questions about delivery. She was absolutely rude and unprofessional. I requested to speak with owner first she said Owner is not here. She kept interrupting me again and again when I asked questions she kept interrupting me. Will never place an order here. Shame on owner and management.

90 minutes... Still no delivery.. $25 for one entree, rice and naan bread. Still hasn't arrived. I used to work delivery in college and I know that unless something goes horribly wrong, there's no excuse for any delivery to take longer than 30 to 40 minutes even on the busiest night of the week. Today is Monday. First time customer that is never ordering again.

Great Food-Fantastic Quality. I have visited this place a few times now. I love th e food because it is fresh and never swimming in oil. Naan breads were great and very authentic. The staff was enthusiastic, funny and know their food. I know what I like and when I asked the owner for suggestion based on my usual choices, he was able to suggest new dishes for me to try. He hasn't gone wrong yet. . I will definitely visit again and again and again !

An exceptional place with exceptional people. I stumbled across Bombay to go bu pure accident a year ago while in Mississauga visiting. Since then it us the only place I will get Indian food from while visiting the city.
The people there are friendly and very accommodating. They will take the time to talk to you and explain the menue to you. The Chef will even come out and talk to you about any concerns you may have. Try finding such a service elsewhere.
The food is simply great. Their butter chicken, their biryanis, baingan bharta, dal makhni, aloogobi, lamb bhuna, vindaloos, samosas, naan, shahi paneer, daal palak are dishes I have regularly ordered on each visit and I have never been disappointed. My friends and guests have enjoyed their food and I have nothing but praise for them. The portions are quite generous and easily one order can be enough for two people.
They do give you the option of degree of heat that you want your food to be with the exception of vindaloos as they are already HOT. YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF MILD, MEDIUM AND HOT.
I have always got my food as take out and I must say the food is freshly made and is hot.
It is not the microwave reheated stuff some other places do and pretend it is fresh.
The owner takes pride in what they serve and it shows.
Recently they have changed their menue with a few additions and changes. They are all positive in my opinion.
If you ever do come to Mississauga or you are on your way up or down the 403 or the QEW, it is a stop worth your while. Good food. Good patrons and a relaxing time.

Yummy and worth for the money. To go order came on time within 45 minutes, it was a working day . Portions are huge.. food was very tasty. Over all very nice experience. Definitely will order again. Last but not the least staff is friendly too

Good Service, Good Food. I visited this place during quiet lunch hours. I liked the food, service was good. Salad was excellent, usually at other Indian restaurant they give lots of lettuce and 1 or 2 pieces of other vegetables, but here there was good quantity of both the dish I ordered and the Salad. The only thing is the Chutney served with tikka was not in green color, But in taste it was alright.

The staff was enthusiastic, funny. I liked this place, and I will definitely visit again.

The Best Indian Food in Ontario. Bombay To Go serves the most authentic Indian Cuisine I have ever tasted. Everything was freshly prepared and a delightful blend of herbs and spices. I absolutely recommend Bombay To Go to anyone wanting to enjoy great dish after dish of Fresh Indian Food. The Butter Chicken is my favourite hands down, and the Best I've ever tasted. The Staff are warm and welcoming too. We recently ordered the SMALL GROUP COMBO for the staff at my employers to enjoy. Not only were the portions large, they arrived on time, with all the cutlery and sides hot and fresh. The Samosa's were delicious!. It isn't often I recommend eateries, so please take my advice and try Bombay To Go today, I guarantee you and your family will not be disappointed. Gord

Delivery. I have always enjoyed the food here. However. When I ordered delivery as i have done many times, it has taken over two and a half hours to deliver. It still isn't here. This is infuriating. If you know it's going to be a busy night and it's going to be late, atleast throw in something for free or better yet don't charge for the meal. Not sure I will be coming back.

Best Delivery Service for Indian Food. We recently received the flier (menu) of Bombay to Go Indian Restaurant through post and we thought of just giving it a try. The food was served within 50 mins from the time we placed the order . It was freshly cooked, taste like home food , no oil floating, looks & taste very healthy ;this is far better than ordering pizza which also takes approximately same amount of time...

I will order food from Bombay to Go very often now and will also recommend to my friends and family. Thank you for providing such a delicious & flavorsome food to my door steps. Yummy....!

Very Good Indian Restaurant with Delivery Service. I only recently moved to Mississauga and discovered this gem.Discovered this restaurant after friend's recommendation and it became our favorite restaurant . You won't be disappointed. The food is excellent and various. If you like Indian food, this is the place to know.
First time I was waiting on my order and quite a number of people commented on the superb quality of the food... which made me even hungrier as I waited! and guess what...ā€œThe most amazing Indian food I've ever had!ā€
Now I don't wait there as they have home Delivery service as well.I am very busy in my profession and often depend on food from take out and I am happy that I can order delivery from BOMBAY TO GO.
Clearly they have the best Indian Chefs in Mississauga, the food is always perfect. And the staff can never do enough, very friendly guys.

EXCELLENT INDIAN FOOD!. Bombay To Go is my favourite place to go for authentic Indian food. Not only is the food delicious but it's also very healthy and always prepared fresh. Living in Burlington there aren't too many authentic Indian cuisines, definitely worth the drive to Mississauga!

BEST INDIAN IN THE CITY. My boyfriend and I love Bombay To Go -- It is by far our favourite Indian Restaurant in the city. The food is prepared to order so you can choose how spicy you want it AND it is always fresh. No day-old buffet here!!!

Don't be scared off if the restaurant doesn't look too busy when you go - most of their business is take out and many people haven't found out about this hidden gem yet. Slow or busy --- the food is always hot and fresh and the service is always great. Manish and Binita are always so welcoming.

It may be a bit more expensive than other Indian restaurants because you have to order a la carte but it is well worth every penny!! The portions are big and the menu offers a large selection of dishes -- even more than your average buffet! AND it is SUPER FRESH! The Shahi Paneer and Chicken Tikka Masala are amazing.

Go try it out - you will become addicted! :)

I first tried their biriyani from a friend, and I'm very picky about my biriyani..loved it with just one small bite! I had to go back and get some more..the customer service is just exquisite! Definitely my new hot spot for take out, dine in and delivery

Very Tasty food and excellent delivery service.. Best Indian food delivery service in Mississauga.

All the dishes I've tried have been excellent, the service is efficient and friendly, and the prices are reasonable for what you get.Much better Butter Chicken than all the other Indian Restaurants I have tried in Mississauga.

End of discussion...Good , Good, Very Good.

Bland, Tasteless and Overpriced. Upon first entering the restaurant you get a heavy hit of spice smell. The heavy aroma will linger in your clothes for a while.

We ordered a variety of dishes and here is what we can say.

Lamb Korma , was bland had no taste or flavour. For what we got the price this dish was priced way to high.

Chicken Biryani- Far from any decent biryani we have ever had. The rice was old and stale that had been re-heated in a stir fry fashion. Flavour and taste once again non existent. However it was very hot not a pleasant hot or medium as ordered.

Tandoori Chicken- Bland and once again no flavour or taste to it at all. Officially this classifies as the worst Tandoori we have had so far

The Naan- Actually this was very good. Nice and crisp outer with s soft inner. This was one of the better naans we have had.

The Paneer Pakora- Awful would be a compliment.

The service was friendly and attentive. Until the end when we asked to take a doggy bag along the girl just left a couple empty containers on the table and a plastic bag... I have never had a restaurant not pack the food for you.

The meal cost us about $60 with drinks. This was so overpriced and the food was just plain awful.

Upon exiting I visited the washroom. If I had seen the washroom before hand I would not have eaten here.

There is always something to be said when the other restaurants close by are busy and one has no customers. When we entered this place there were no customers and none came in during our whole dinner experience.

First time there & liked it!. I was craving Indian food but wasn't sure where to go in Mississauga. I did some googling and decided to try Bombay to Go. I don't eat Indian food often so I can't really compare it to anything but if you're looking to try Indian Food and aren't sure where to go, I would recommend Bombay To Go. Why?
1. Their menu is user-friendly because it describes the ingredients used in each dish to help you get an idea of what it might taste like
2. The staff was pleasant and didn't mind that I took a little while to decide what to order
3. Good value

I ordered the butter chicken with a side of plain naan bread & steamed basmati rice. I ordered the butter chicken medium (avail. in mild or hot too) and for me it was just the right amount of spice. The sauce was very flavorful. At first it doesn't look like they've given you enough chicken but the chunks of chicken are actually quite big (about 2 or 3 bites worth each!) and I think I got 8 or 9 chunks. I definitely didn't finish this all in one sitting. I took it home and had it for dinner so for the cost of about $15 I actually got 2 fulfilling meals.

As in one of the other reviews I read, they definitely make everything fresh! I waited a little for my order (maybe 10-15 minutes) but it was worth it. They seem very busy as well. While I waited, 2 people came in to places orders and about 4 or 5 others called in for pick up or delivery.

Just a note - they close for a couple of hours after lunch and reopen at 4pm. They used to have a lunch special but got rid of it. They had a new menu with a few minor changes as of today. I will definitely go back and try something else next time.

Bland Korma. Excited with the prospect of an Indian restaurant in Mississauga delivering food, my boyfriend and I decided to check this place out.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the bland chicken korma. Now I may not be an expert in Indian cuisine, but I have eaten at numerous restaurants and have had chicken korma many times, so I have those other times to compare it to. Perhaps they used too much cream, or perhaps they completely forgot the spices. Either way, it was completely bland. The sauce I have eaten before has always had colour to it. This sauce was completely white.

Unfortunately, they didn't want to provide us with a refund and instead offered our next meal there free.
But why would I want to eat free over there if they can't make tasty food?

Why do restaurants in Mississauga generally suck?
Vishi
Yummy Food. I've been ordering deliveries from this place for about 4 months now and must have had at least 40 meals from here, if not more.
I should say, anything from this place is delightful. Their biryanis are made to perfection; the dal and the stuffed parathas are great! I love the tandoori chicken, samosas and batata vadas too..
The best thing is everything is made fresh, unlike some other take outs that I have tried, that microwave a portion for you.
As I cannot leave work for lunch and sometimes, packing in the morning is not a great choice, deliveries from this place have kept me fully satisfied and singing praises.
Stephania
Everything is Made Fresh!. (Or so said the friendly Indian chap behind the counter. ;)

I've been looking for a takeout place for Chicken Biryani and I decided to stop by here as it's in my neighbourhood.

I went inside and was this-close to not ordering as it's not cheap for a takeout place in this specific plaza. The Chicken Biryani was $8.99 for a relatively small plastic container. Probably 4 small portions. It came with a large raita.

HOWEVER, the talkative owner (??) convinced me with his words, saying how everything is made fresh, and if I like Chicken Biryani that "I'll be back", blah, blah, blah, but you know what? It WORKED.

I think that if restauranteurs want more business, they need to be more go-getters in today's economy! The Art of Persuasion...and hopefully they have the goods to back it up and this guy did.

The Chicken Biryani had generous pieces of chicken, at least 9. Probably more so than rice, but it was good. Tasted a lot lighter than other places, not very saucy though, but I didn't feel guilty eating it afterwards.

So I'll probably be back to check out the rest of the menu!
