Review Pho Big Bowl - Mississauga

Great place to go on a date or with family. The interior is nicely decorated, unlike some other Vietnamese joints. The restaurant is pretty clean, but the trash in the washrooms need to be changed more often. I've had the pho, fresh spring rolls, and vermicelli with grilled meat and fried spring roll. All are solid.

It was my first time trying Vietnamese cuisine and I tell you my friends! It was incredible! I am originally from Europe and don’t have much history trying Asian food but this place really made huge positive impression on me. If you are ever around Dundas and Winston Churchill in Mississauga, try this place guys! You won’t be sorry. Vivian and her staff are super friendly and welcoming as well. SUPPORT LOCAL!

This is hands down some of the best Asian food I've ever had. Vietnamese pho and all sorts of other delicious dishes. It doesn't look like much from the outside, a real local feel, but that's how you know it's going to be a true gem. I would drive 90 minutes just to eat here again. Highly highly recommend. This is the pad Thai. Also recommend the spring rolls, calamari and any of the pho. Good God it was good.

This is absolutely authentic Pho!! I find that most Pho places in Mississauga are westernized, which i don’t like it at all. Fair price with huge portion. Never get enough of #38 and #45! Their service is amazing, i love the blonde server, friendliest server ever. Good food, good service

First time here for lunch, came with a few co-works. plenty of parking around the building and in the back. We got there at noon and it was half full already. By the time we were seated and ordered more people came, it was a busy place. We got 2 orders of # 2 cold shrimp and pork rolls ( 2 rolls per order)(Goi Cuon), it was served with a peanut sauce for our appetizer. We also order Pho, I got # 17 rare beef pho soup (Pho Tai). It comes with a dish of condiments, which is bean sprouts, mint and lime. You should add these condiments in you soup and then stir it up. The hot broth will cook the rare beef instantly. I gave them one star short because the broth was not beefy enough, otherwise it was still good. I like to add Hossain and Siracha sauce to my soup for more flavor. The correct way is to put those sauces in a dipping dish, mix it up and only dip your meat in it. This way the broth stays pure. There is no right way to eat, experiment and you do you. I will be back to try more dishes, you got to try it!

Came back here after who knows how long and I was pleasantly surprised by the change! The food (especially the pho) tasted great, was reasonably priced, and a large quantity! My only problem that I'm having to make my experience a 5 🌟 is the service. I found that there's not much servers helping out; moreover, there just seems to be a huge communication issue with server and client since my table clearly wrote on the order sheet for the fresh spring rolls not to have pork, since I don't eat pork which slightly ruined my appetite and experience. I would definitely recommend more people to try the food! I look forward to coming back on my next visit!

The food was delicious. I live in Halifax and a bowl of pho that size (XL)would probably cost almost twenty dollars. Would definitely recommend to others and eat here again.

We have been going to Big Bowl since it opened about 15-20 years ago and it is still the best Pho ever.

#28 Pho Satay Bo - Satay Beef Spicy + Peanut<br/><br/>Highly recommended this surprising dish, it tastes different and is satisfyingly good. It mingles perfectly with the Hoisin sauce. And, If the heat starts getting to you there's pineapples buried inside and peanuts. Definitely one to try out.

This place is one of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants. It always has a steady flow of customers no matter what time of day. Love their vermicelli with chicken. It always taste so fresh, flavourful and light.

The pho is delicious. Good broth, tasty beef, and the noodles are just right.<br/>Their vermicelli bowls are a different story. BBQ meat was very dry, almost inedible. Sugarcane shrimp, noodles, and veggies weren't anything special. The spring rolls were good though.

A Good Quick Lunch Spot. I stop in Big Bowl every so often for a bowl of seafood noodles and I'm always satisfied with what I get. The food is tasty and the serving is perfect for lunch. The place is always busy at lunch time.

I usually come here and eat and i decided to try the beef stirfry and honestly they gave chunka onions that were size of the tip of my thumb it ruined the dish, i posted the picture of how big they were, so disappointing

The pad Thai is terrible! Stick to the pho or else go somewhere else. Great value for price though.

Rare beef noodle bowl with hot sauce always hits the spot and this place is no exception! The pork and shrimp cold rice paper wraps and fried pork wontons were yummy too. Very fresh and tasty.

So good I come every week and I love it! Best wonton soup I've tried and I've had a lot! My usual is the wonton soup #33 I believe

Good value. The prices and portions are good and the food is as very tasty.

Its ok. I mean I've had better but if you just want something quick and your local it's not bad. The beef broth in the Pho could be a bit more rich in taste it almost made me think they watered it down lol. I live about 5 mins away so was convenient. If I have a craving for Pho and want something close I will be returning. The spring rolls like most people mentioned taste pretty good. I will try something different on the menu next time and edit the review.

Delicious and Consistent. Easily my go-to joint for Pho or any Viet dishes.<br/><br/>Spring rolls are amazing, just make sure you eat them fresh - go a bit soggy when doing takeout. Portions are generous, pho is flavorful, no complaints at all.

Not authentic at all!!!. Don't know why ppl like this place. As an Asian girl who loves food and knows what's good to eat, I would say this place is not authentic at all as an Vietnamese restaurant. The only good thing i would say is it tastes "fresh"(lack of flavor of herbs/spices from Vietnamese cuisine).<br/>Don't like their food at all!

Great Value. Went to this place with a work colleague. Wow, love the value. Get the Vermicelli, pork balls with chicken (#45). Free green tea with the meal. Love it. The soups looked awesome. Will be back.

Pho-Tastic. My wife and I have frequented this location since we were dating. Since then they have grown in popularity. More guests normally mean slower service, however it is not the case. The staff is friendly and efficient. Not to mention delicious pho. and the spring rolls..... soooo good. Would, and have recommended to everyone.<br/>Thanks

Food is great but service sucks!!. Dealing with a cold right now and their soup is the best remedy for this, I called in to pre-order my soup for pick up, so that my boyfriend could grab it for me before he headed in to work. Arrived their to pick it up , processed the payment only to realize before I walked out the store that it wasn't soup they'd given me. I then told the lady that they messed up my order and told her that I was in a hurry and she said they'd have my soup ready for me in about 2 minutes....five minutes later she still hadn't even put together my order, and when I followed up with her she was like give me a minute I'm going to go make it now. Really??? didn't you just tell me that 5 minutes ago when I already told you I was in a hurry, and the reason why I called this order in was so that it would be ready when I arrived, no apology or expression of empathy so i ended up having to ask for a refund and left with nothing . You'd think that because they messed up my order and the fact that I had shared that I was in a hurry they'd make it some kind of a priority to get my soup ready for me but she just continued to do everything else but put my order through.

Nice hot bowl of Pho. Pho is pronounced more like a "fuh", so one could say this place is pho-king good! Great portions, great taste and well prepared. Pho naturally is high in sodium and MSG so do be prepared for that. Otherwise this is a nice place to grab a big bowl of pho (I'd recommend the beef tripe).

Okay. This place is actually not bad at all. The food is great and the service could be a little bit better. I usually get the vermicelli with chicken and spring roll and it never disappointed me. If you want a quick casual dinner, this is the place for you.

Ehhh. Not the best pho around Mississauga, but will do the job if you want a quick dinner. The place is a little dingy/sticky to me, which is never something I like in a place to eat. The pho noodles they use are easily breakable which is disheartening. :( Their spring rolls are good though.

One of the worst places.. I am vietnamese so I know what vietnamese food is supposed to taste like and what they serve here is not even close to the authentic flavour. When they just opened I tried it out, the pho was bland and I cant say anything different about the durian shake either. On another occasion I ordered the rice with a pork chop. Once again the food doesnt come close to being vietnamese. It was dry and bland. Vietnamese food is known for their strong and unique flavours. The last time I came in I ordered the rice dish with the chicken. The chicken is nothing to get crazy about, its dry and really small. Once again its nothing close to vietnamese cuisine. Just because you add a side of fish sauce to the dish doesnt make it a vietnamese dish. I dont know why I keep coming here, I guess I just havent learned my lesson. Eating here is like going to Jimmy The Greek for greek cuisine or going to Taco Bell for mexican. ITS NOT AUTHENTIC! I cant stress that enough. The demographic for this place is caucasian people wanting to experience what vietnam have to offer. You are wasting your time and money. This is why you dont see many of us vietnamese in there. We have tried it and its not vietnamese food. If you want to try the REAL flavours of vietnam, go to Pho Rua Vang aka Golden Turtle on central parkway and confederation. I am not affiliated with Pho Rua Vang, I just love their food and I want others to enjoy great food. Please do yourself a favour and dont go here.

Great spot!!!. We eat here often, both dine in and take out. The service is very good, friendly and helpful, the food is very high quality and as good an any Vietnamese place we have dined.<br/>I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that likes this kind of food.

Sadly not what it use to be. Table smelled funny (maybe vinegar spray). Food luke warm at best, price has increased & portion size has decreased. Staff seem youn and disorganized. Time to move on for me and family.

I have been to almost every Pho bowl restaurant in the city. Nothing else comes close. This is the best Pho Bowl I have ever tried, time and time again

The hottest, spiciest Satay Pho broth I've ever had. The noodles and broth are excellent. The beef on the other hand is pretty low quality compared to other restaurants I frequent.

Average at Best. When this restaurant first opened, it was a nice place to get a decent sized bow of pho for less than $5 for a Large.<br/><br/>Recently the price increased AND the size of the bowl became smaller. It appears the Medium became the Large.<br/><br/>Service is rather unenthusiastic. <br/><br/>Its a decent place if you in the area, otherwise there are more better options.
