Chopan Grill had good halal Afghan food! We had a variety of different kebabs + platters and we weren't dissapointed but we didn't love it either. The staff were nice but the atmosphere isn't welcoming. Everything looked out-dated and it lacked cleanliness. It took long for the food to come out even though it was not busy. We waited for 30-35 mins just for one plate of appetizers to come out. Because of being short-staffed, it was hard to get the attention of the waiter/waitress when we needed something such as more water or napkins. Things that could be improved on to have a better experience are cleaner tables and plates/utensils, more staff, and better service. Overall, it is decent food in an decent restaurant.

The restaurant can fit over 100 people, but it was empty when we ate there on a Wednesday at 6pm. few people showed up after we finished eating. We had a huge family entree that has a great delicious afghan rice, and BBQ meat. it was more than enough for 4 people. The place was neat and the service was okay.

On the way back to Toronto, stopped at this place. Waited 35mins to get my orders for my family. Few pieces meat... Huge portion on rice and nann. Scarborough kebeb stores definitely have better price and and better portion... Will never come back and will not recommend.

If you want great authentic Afghani food, this is the place! Servings are big, chapli kabab is excellent. If you want fancy ambiance, probably not the place to go! Though the 'takhats' aka raised-floor seating gives an authentic vibe.

This is my 3rd time at this place, the size of. Naan, Afghan salad, rice, kofta kabobs and white sauce was really delicious. Highly recommended. Will visit again soon.

Delecious food. Food spices is perfect. The restaurant has a unique seating option that you can sit on floor. Service is average but ok. There is a clean prayer area, which's a good thing.

Great flavours and made with pride and love. The decor and set up at the restaurant is adorable. There is a back home feeling which feels very welcoming. Great workers and owner. Awesome. Food is tasty, and service is good and quick. However, be careful when you order, receive food and pay; they can add extra dollars for something that you think was part of your order or something that you have not even ordered. We ordered family pack for 6 and they added extra money for carrots and raisins on rice. Also, we did not order french fries which were served and charged.

Couldn't found any good but bad and ugly and just to add some Spice cheap and greedy. This is the worst places to say the least..everything whatever they have - cheap chicken and eggplants curry was not eatable. I tried nan was so hard and cold that u cant eat. Once we complain about food the guy was cheap greedy that he just dnt listen but busy in charging credit card..beware of this place as beware of beasts

Excellent food quality. Portions are good, staff very friendly. Their Chicken Breast Kabob is very tasty. And rice, oh, I had never eaten a rice like this before. Especially if you add the topping of carrots and raisins, it adds an extra layer of flavor to it. Firnee is their home made dessert and definitely worth trying.

We visited this place and where do i start ordered starters bolani which is supposed to be Afghan filled bread which should be round in shape these we presented with pastry looking samosas with min filling.We ordered a mixture of main courses and you get 3 tiny cubes of meat on a bed of bland rice.The naans are the thinnest i have ever seen and we had to return it to the kitchen.the chicken was returned too as it was uncooked you are probably wondering these people moaning about little things but i felt compelled to write.The food is just reheated food and certainly not fresh will be going back to bamyan and kandahar dont waste your time and your hard earned cash

Great Food. Been here a number of times now. Food is always Fresh and Tasty, Staff always pleasant and glad to explain the dishes and menu. We usually go with another couple and get their Special Dinner for Four. Always more food than the four of us can eat and reasonably priced for the amount we get. Highly recommend it.

Chopan Grill. Visited this restaurant for Valentines day. Was very surprised at the warm reception, of the waitress, staff . They were kind ,explained all the dishes which we ordered The dinner special for two is highly recommended. One must also try their tea! Will definitely make this one of our regular places to dine.

Delicious food and attentive service. YUM! Our first time enjoying Afghani food, but definitely not our last. We enjoyed the dinner for four - a salad, assortment of 3 delicious appetizers, a main of rice, chicken, etc - and a custard for dessert. Service was attentive, and we were very impressed with the dinner overall. We will look forward to a return visit to the Chopan Grill soon.

Best lamb ever. We loved seeing a place open up with authentic middle eastern cuisine; being used to a great variety of different flavours of the world coming from abroad. We certainly had the best lamb ever in Canada. The service was great and it's wonderful to see that this family owned restaurant tries to keep there dishes and menu as authentic as possible. We will certainly visit more times and hope this place will be around forever. We certainly have many more dishes on our 'to try' list.

Finding itself. This seems like a family run operation that took over a rather large area. Only part of the restaurant has tables and the rest is just open space in the middle. The restaurant is rather dark and gloomy with the food being just below average. They serve Afghan and Indian cuisine. Our ground chicken skewer was a little undone and our chapli kabob was burnt. This restaurant is new and still seems to be finding itself. We found the prices to be about 20% higher than they should be for similar food available in the immediate area.
