Large selection of the menu, free Wi-Fi, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. Seriously a great place for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or even for a coffee and dessert.
Corner restaurant recently opened in my neighbourhood. I enjoy the variety of food I can get from there whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. I also enjoy the flexibility whether I am on the go, I can go in and quickly get something to take on the road, or sit down and feel like I am having a nice lunch or dinner. The high ceilings and modern look add to the experience. The coffee is great and I love the egg, cheese and turkey breakfast sandwich.
They are trying a new concept in dining today and they wanted to ensure we had the best experience. We went for lunch and they were nothing short of wonderful. From taking the time to explain things to us and making sure our meal was right, to the appreciation for trying out the new layout...The same great food with an even more pleasant customer service experience. We can't wait to come back and check out the new dinner menu!!
I absolutely love this place. My go-to place for a casual weekend brunch. The modern decor, the service and ofcourse the food is fantastic. They offer sushirittos, sushitacos, bowls and variety of other options like sandwiches, soups, eggs, etc. I got the bowl (healthier option) with noodles and 2 meat for about $10 including taxes. Give their tangerine a sauce a try!
It was a welcoming self-serve joint with plenty of seating and friendly service. They had sushi burrito, sushi tacos, poke bowls but there were plenty of other options (I believe they also serve breakfast/brunch) for everyone in your group. They have sizzling plates and “mum bowls” where you customize your own starch, vegetables, protein and sauce. They also served salads, cakes, coffee and more.
I got the Spicy Flaming Dragon--fresh tuna sashimi, baby spinach, pickled cucumber, fish roe, avocado, spicy toppings and spicy mayo. It was a giant maki which you eat like a burrito! For under $12, it was like a large order of your regular maki roll. It was pretty good (not just rice and veggie) and we will order again in a heartbeat.

I have so much to write about this place. This place made me fall in love with having breakfast everyday, usually I skip the breakfast but if I visit this place I have no reasons to skip my breakfast.
When you enter this place they have three different sections to place your order. If you walk straight from the entrance you enter the sushi order. On the left is the breakfast section and right is the Mums bowl.
My favourite place is always sushi, as soon as I read "sushi" I did not see anywhere and walked straight to place my order. The surprise for me wasn't that a breakfast place serving sushi but what was surprising is the "sushi burrito". At first I wasn't sure how the sushi would taste, but they know how do it RIGHT. I got the rising sun and it was good, but the price wasn't justifying it. I think its a bit pricy for that burrito. You won't be disappointed having that sushi burrito.
We had ordered other things like Lobster taco, Salman egg Benedict and Fettuccine amore. Everything I ordered was good. Nothing disappointed me.
The best so this experience was they give free coffee with your breakfast.

I always have my reservations about food trends making their way from the downtown core to the suburbs. Rarely have I witnessed the proper execution of a trendy food item in a quiet neighbourhood, particularly if the fad hails from a warmer, West Coast province or state.
Corner by Spoon and Fork gained its rise to fame by offering sushi burritos and poke bowls to citizens on the east end of Mississauga. The restaurant had appeared on my radar for a short while before an astounding number of poke locations began to pop up in Toronto. Recently, a friend of mine took the opportunity to visit and later informed me of her exceedingly positive experience. There appeared no better chance to check out the establishment than after a strenuous three-hour hike.
I've passed this place a few times and at last stopped to check it out. There was a lot of choices but the poke bowl seems to be the latest fad and it lived up to the hype. Bowls are easy and convenient so that is something I'd see myself recreating at home. Also had a slice of German chocolate cake and caramel biscotti coffee not a fan of spoon and fork but corner deserves praise.

Two-words: Sushi+burrito, a.k.a. "sushito". Review based on this item + takeout ONLY.
I'll give it to my people, they are certainly good with taking an existing idea and jumping on the bandwagon/riding the trend wave. And that is what Corner by Spoon & Fork has done with the food trend which is basically a large maki roll, not cut up into individual pieces, but eaten like a burrito.
So if you think there are black beans and cheese mixed in with raw fish or some other concoction, windshield wipe that thought out of your mind!
Interior: VERY NICE considering the somewhat shady, by Mississauga standards, area. Then again, restaurant opened up a coupla months ago, but I was still surprised though.
Ordering process: Somewhat confusing as when you walk in, you either feel like sitting down or approaching the cash counter, so that's what I did: Ordered, paid, then proceeded to select which sushito I wanted. Afterwards, I was corrected by the sushito maker.
I got the Spicy Flaming Dragon which was $10.99. Not sure of the ingredients, but I was attracted to the spicy part. I *believe* they used tuna, but unlike a regular maki roll, they used some baby spinach. I was afraid that they'd pile on the rice, but they put a thin layer, so I was pleased with that!
Price is more or less in line of what you'd pay at a restaurant for a maki roll, but no need to tip here. Roll was made quickly.
One thing that I wished they had done was NOT layer the bed of rice on top of the seaweed beforehand. It wasn't done too much ahead of time, but my seaweed was not crunchy by the time I got home.
Verdict? Quick, efficient meal which is healthier than a burger+fries!

My family and I absolutely LOVE Corner Restaurant! We have been there several times already, since they first opened, and have tried many different items from their menu. Everything we have tasted, so far, has been flavourful and delicious! The items are well-priced, considering the generous portions of their dishes. The staff members and managers are super-friendly and always eager to help to make our dining experience a wonderful one. It's a clean, modern, laid-back, and cozy restaurant with plenty of open space and comfortable seating, free wi-fi, complimentary coffee, and TV's tuned into CP24. They're open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, so it's a perfect spot for family meals out, or get-togethers with friends. My husband and I are especially appreciative of the large family washroom with a change table, which has come in very handy, with our 7 month old baby. So considerate of the owners to have a separate handicapped/family washroom available for their customers! Keep up the awesome job, Corner!!! You will continue to see us frequently. 😊

You can go in for coffee and pastry, sushi, or dinner...different areas with booths, tables, stools, low chair (lounge style), wi-fi, plenty of outlets...
I had one of their bowl dinners ($9,00 + tax), with choice of grain or pasta (ok to get more than one type), 4 vegetables, one protein, dressing, and seasoning. It was delicious!

I love this place! I decided to try it after driving by a few times. It’s newly opened and for now it seems really slow but I’m sure it will change once more people try it. I came around dinner time Saturday although it seems more of a brunch/lunch spot. They offer a wide range of desserts/sandwiches/coffee, etc but also you can make your own Mum bowl where you chose your grain, protein, 4 veggies, sauce and additions on top (cashews, sesame seeds, etc.). I made mine a combo and got a mixed green salad and a drink. My bf got the combo and a drink as well and it came up to about $30. Not bad! And everything was fresh and warm. Service was very welcoming and attentive and everything was kindly explained to us. It kind of has a cafeteria like feel but it’s very nice inside. A very good date spot :)
Also, during their first month of opening they are giving away free coffee (few to choose from and serve yourself!)
Definitely will be back. Worth trying!
