I ordered Baja fish tacos and I have to say I was extremely impressed with the taste. I will definitely go again to try other stuff. People working there seemed to be Mexicans which is why the food had real authentic Mexican taste. I highly recommend for anyone want to eat Mexican food. I came again with friends this time and again i was impressed .. we ordered shrimp tacos, fajitas and drinks and we loved everything

Hands down, THE best Mexican restaurant in Mississauga! Delicious food, excellent service and friendly staff. Free parking too. I've tried most items on the menu and like them all. Try the Pastor Chimichanga and Chicken / Shrimp fajitas. The nachos are delicious too. They also serve Mexican Coca Cola.

This is my third or fourth visit, and this time I went with the evil shrimp which was a great choice! The family who runs the restaurant is incredibly lovely. Everyone is super friendly and always offering suggestions. The service is speedy and everything is fresh. The food is fantastic! Edit: I visited their second location today. The quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff hasn't changed with the new place opening up. The place was packed for a Friday night, but it's to be expected for a place in the middle of Streetsville. Plus the food is worth the wait. My rating hasn't changed, these guys deserve 5 stars.

I really enjoy mexican food, it's probably a top 3 cuisine for me and BMX delivers. Tried: Cabos nachos. Really satisfying, large portions with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend. Enchiladas with red, white and green sauce. Extremely appealing visually and the flavour matches the appearance. Moist meat inside and the sauces were very flavourful. Really enjoyed the red and green sauces. Very filling meal. Overall enjoyed the food and the service was great, would come back again.

This is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant-best part it's halal! I've come back countless of times and each time a bring a new friend. Tasted most of the menu and I have loved each dish. I highly recommend the tamales, sopes, evil shrimp, taco nortenño, and Churros if you have room for dessert!

A great Hidden Gem of Mississauga. Excellent food and service. You have to try this place if you like good good Mexican food. Eating in makes you feel like you've escaped to the tropics.

This place was really good!!!! Best authentic Mexican food I’ve had in Mississauga. Cute little restaurant. Great service. The beef nachos were amazing. Absolutely. The shrimp tacos were good too and so were the sopes (I think that’s what they’re called lol). Also try the impossible cake if u can! Very very good. Overall amazing just a bit of a wait I guess because the food is fresh!

Last week, my sister and I hit up Border MX’s new location in Streetsville. There was a bachelorette party celebrating that night with a lot of fancy drinks so I had to order one of my own Bulldog. To start we shared a ceviche tosta. The fish was fresh and flavourful on top a crunchy chip. I also ordered some guacomole which was unfortunately too mushy. I like my guacomole thick. I felt like they over blended the avocado or something and it was a bit watery.

Food lacked flavour, I wouldn't go there again.

We had the vegetable enchiladas with mole, vegetarian burrito and our friend had the fish tacos.

First of all, the enchiladas stuffing were peas and carrots and probably onions - seemed like frozen veggies only that was cooked in there. I love a good mole but this was not a good mole. The taste was very one dimensional. The burrito as well very bland tasting. The rice and beans on the side were tiny portions. My friend mentioned the fish tacos (which are supposed to be reviewed well) we're alright and she's had better. They also provided guac which is additional and it was again an even smaller portion and packed with a lot of tomatoes and was a bit watery.

Service was fine but nothing memorable.

Place was in the middle of a small mall. I would not recommend walking through the mall - it smelled like bad fish, so come from outside into the restaurant.

2017/05/21
We were heading back into town from the west, and we stopped at Border MX in Mississauga for dinner. It was raining pretty heavily, but fortunately there is covered parking behind the little mall that the restaurant is in, and Border MX has a side entrance directly in the mall. The restaurant was almost full, but there were a couple of tables left.

The menu is fairly extensive and has a number of different sections, including appetizers, nachos, soups & salads, quesadillas, burritos, tacos, traditional (enchiladas, tamales, flautas), as well as a section with "Our Specialities".

SWMBO went for her "go to" option, selecting Enchiladas with Chicken and Mole. The sauce was dark and rich, with lots of chocolate and some spicy heat.

I chose the Chicken Fajitas. The main plate was served sizzling hot. The flavours were good, but there were a couple of minor issues. The rice was served on the main plate, and since the plate was so hot, the rice was a bit dry. The three half tortillas were cut from large circles. The half circle shape made it a bit harder to hold the fillings, compared with typical full circles.

Servers were attentive, but it did seem to take longer than expected for the meals to arrive.

Not many establishments last at this location but I have high hopes for this joint. It is like a siesta when you arrive from the music, decor, and colourful arrangement of food at decent prices with a chalkboard for specials. The staff are lovely I had the Flaunta's, Pork/Pineapple burrito, and chips and salsa next time will get the churro's!

Excellent food!! Being here a few times and it always gets better. Authentic small restaurant huge on flavor. Friendly service, they always answer your questions. We had the Chorizzo Nachos and were sooo good and i'm glad they have the street corn back it's certainty a must try. And we only spend $36 for the 2 people...

We wanted a casual après-work Cinqo de Mayo celebration. We sure found it here. Simply by Googling "Mexican restaurants in Mississauga" we found this unpretentious, easy-going cantina not far from Square One. The mood was casual, joyful and the food? Simple, and very tasty! It tasted like what I would imagine authentic Mexican to be. It was also a good sign that many of the patrons were Spanish-speaking. The co-workers and I plan on going again soon! p.s. Get the Baja Fish Tacos and red wine sangria!

Came here expecting good mexican food after reading many positive reviews online but left sadly disappointed. The tacos were some of the worst I have had in a long time. Don't recommend this place to any one try elsombrero for some better quality mexican food in mississauga

Decent food, friendly service, with questionable billing practices.

I don't come here often - maybe 1-2Xs/year - but now I remembered why. Came here last night and had the Baja fish tacos. They were pretty good, I'll give them that. Even though they're battered, they didn't taste heavy or greasy!

Side dishes of rice & guac were unremarkable. Rice is tasteless and guac was waaay too salty.

I was feeling good, so I ordered a Mojito off the menu. That was waaay too sweet, so waiter did take it away, and it came back topped up. What was the liquid, I dunno...

Anyway, when the bill arrived, I noticed that I was charged for a Coconut Mojito which is marginally more expensive than a regular Mojito ($7.75). I dunno what it is, but on the occasions I do stop by here, I am always charged extra for something I did not order. Last time, I believe they gave me guac, which I never ordered, but it came anyway and I was charged.

I really dunno if it's just bad luck with me or if they do this to other customers as well, but it is annoying, and probably the reason why I will not become a regular.

Pleased with my first visit here, I would come back again. Service was efficient and atmosphere was good. I ordered a pastor chimichanga.. my goodness it was huge! First bite was just as flavorful as the next. So much flavor in a forkful. The rice and refried beans on the side were ok. Baja fish tacos were also great!

This place is not authentic mexican it's lazy sloppy mexican food with little flavor. We were very disappointed when we came here, the food and service was terrible. The food is way overpriced for what you get . Two thumbs way down.

The service was very friendly and fast. The restaurant was nice and clean. The music playing from a little speaker system was a little high. The food was very authentic and very good. Definitely the best authentic Mexican restaurant on the west side of the GTA. Will definitely go here again.

Amazing and authentic Mexican food. Believe me, I don't discriminate when it comes to Mexican style cuisine but sometimes it's good to take a break from Burrito Boyz And Chipotle and get that real real. Besides the food being flavourful and fresh I think the staff is what makes the experience really worthwhile. They are so informative about every item on the menu and they really take the time to explain the more traditional Mexican cuisine they offer. They are so friendly and they make you feel really welcome and at home, not to mention they also have a great sense of humour and the atmosphere is always fun. Something I really appreciate about the staff is that they went the extra length to provide my friend who is vegetarian and has very specific tastes, a meal that satisfied her completely. They certainly didn't have to accommodate her but they chose to and now they have two fiercely loyal customers! Amazing restaurant highly recommend it :D

My first time was just great. We had the fish and shrimp tacos. The food was so fresh and very well cooked! I can't wait to try the other menu items. First stop burrito town.

Great food and service!. I went to Border MX yesterday with a few of my coworkers after it was recommended to me by another coworker. We had a pleasant experience and thoroughly enjoyed our food. All ingredients were fresh and tasted great. I had ordered the RICO shrimp tacos and was not disappointed with the dish. The mix between the avocado sauce and the pineapple certainly made the flavour pop. The shrimp was fried to a perfect crisp and all the ingredients together tasted amazing! I will certainly be recommending this restaurant to anyone who wants to try out a new place and happen to have a craving for some authentic mexican food.
