The "Steamed pork belly over a bed of preserved vegetables" (梅菜扣肉) is definitely a must try. I hate fat of any kind, but not the Steamed Pork Belly. The 'fat' is all gone and texture likes jelly. Church friends who have tried them all encored. Even my 20-year-old son loves it! We've tried other places, sorry, no comparison. Yum yum! Courteous staff too.
the best dimsum/Chinese restaurant in Mississauga/West GTA with reasonable price!!
Been going for almost 20 years. Never disappointed. Food and service are top shelf
I love this resturant. Best lunch DimSum around. Whenever I'm in town, it's a must to stop in for lunch or take out. I'll never eat dimsum anywhere else. Staff is so friendly, they always go out of their way to get to know each of their customers on a personal level. Thank you guys ! See you next time I am in mississauga.
My family and I had not been to the Perfect Kitchen in the past couple of years and was pleasantly surprised at how they had redecorated the place. The walls, carpet and washrooms had all been significantly improved. The menu has also been expanded as well. I used to have to apologize to my Western friends about the washrooms but I do not have to anymore. The food has always been good and the servers friendly and appreciative of my business.I call the Perfect Kitchen "The Western front" because I consider it to be the last authentic Chinese Restaurant on the western edge of the GTA. I have lived in Oakville for thirty years have not seen one in Oakville or Burlington that can compare. Give them a try if you can. They are located in the small business units one driveway north of the Ridgeway Costco. I always make a reservation and get treated like old friends.
FOOD:
We had come here on a Monday evening at around 7:00 pm for dinner. We had settled on a few dishes, sharing them amongst the three of us. We were first given a bowl of complimentary soup, which consisted of a few different types of meats which tasted delicious. The soup bowl was quite large, tasting fresh and well-made. We definitely enjoyed the fact that it was free! For our main dishes, we had settled on lemon chicken, choy with mushrooms, chicken with onions, beef, noodles, and a small bowl of steamed rice.
All of the items came in very large dishes, and all of them tasted delicious. I was very impressed specifically with the noodles as they were well-prepared, and tasted as though they had fresh ingredients. I did find the lemon chicken to taste as though it were processed however, this was to be expected as it was deep-fried. Overall though, the food was of great value, and all of it tasted very delicious! The prices seemed reasonable as well, with many of the dishes only a little over $10 each, which was great as we were able to take leftovers home!
ATMOSPHERE:
The atmosphere was a bit dull as it was a Monday evening and there were only about two or three other tables with guests. Also, there were only a few paintings on the walls, and the colour scheme was a bit plain. Overall though, it was a basic Chinese restaurant with not much decor however, enough to satisfy a hungry customer.
SERVICE:
When we had arrived here, I had asked if we could have a table for three. The man at the front told us to wait a few moments as he would clean a table for us. He then brought us to a table near the back of the restaurant which was square. We sat down and were brought menus right away by another server. We noticed that there were quite a number of servers that helped us throughout the evening, all of whom were pleasant, and spoke wonderful English and Chinese, which made us feel comfortable. I also found all of the servers to be polite, bringing items to us quickly and with ease.
COST:
Five Main Dishes + 1 Bowl Of Steamed Rice = $81.82 (Taxes Included)
WOULD YOU RETURN?
Most definitely! I’m really glad that I had found this place as it is hidden from the main street however, it was definitely worth the drive, and would highly recommend it to anyone else looking for good, authentic, Chinese food.
I have been coming to this place for about 10 years. The food is always fresh and tasty. You can order dim sum from a menu, rather than the usual cart style. I like this when I go there on my lunch break... It's such a time saver! U can also order dim sum for take out outside of the regular dim sum hours.
Real Cantonese Food. I see a review commenting that there are no chicken balls. If that's the type of meal you are expecting, then the Perfect Kitchen is the wrong place to be and won't meet your expectations. The menu is authentic Cantonese. The dim sum here is pretty good. This is our go to place for dinner. Favourite dish is the seafood tofu hotpot.
Traditional Chinese done well. This isn't a hybrid Chinese/Canadian restaurant as one reviewer thinks below but it's a traditional Chinese restaurant. You won't find chicken balls here! The food quality is above the average found in Mississauga. The dim sum is fresh and it doesn't seem to come from a freezer bag like most places. The food is plentiful. It gets packed quickly on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. I do recommend reservations (even for dinner!). We usually get a half chicken, a tofu dish, fresh vegetables, and a seafood dish. Each time it's very tasty, fresh, and very reasonably priced for Mississauga.
Good food. Great prices.. I can't believe I did not find this place earlier.
Good food at great prices.
A bit far from where I live though.
Overall the food was still pretty good in my opinion. The only thing that would keep me from coming back here is the owner's attitude and service. The employees are excellent and very attentive but the owner seems like he could care less if you were there or not and he seems to be very rude.
Perfect Kitchen has become our family’s staple Chinese restaurant and they continually over deliver on a consistent basis.
Great food! The squid is probably my favourite. It's very hard to find places that prepare squid the way this place does it. The other dishes do not disappoint though. I came here for my birthday once and it wasn't as packed as I'd expected. That made great service.
I came in on a Saturday afternoon. It was so early that there was no wait. Both of the greeter and the waiter were very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. We ordered Chinese broccoli, the signature fried chicken, and another beef dish (gosh I forgot what kind of beef it was). All was amazing! Especially the beef, it was tender, juicy and full of flavor. The only disappointment was that they don't offer complimentary daily soup.
This place is small and always have to wait. Not very fast service as tables are more than servers in ratio. Guess when order set dinner, the portion is small for the price. The food taste good though.
Great restaurant, great food and service. Restaurant is a bit small and run down however. Could use a refresh.
Alright, this place is where I go when my mom is too lazy to make food. This is quality chinese food at reasonable prices. I've been a repeat customer for at least 15 years; I may have grown and changed over the years, but the quality of this restaurant has been solid and consistent since day 1. The staff are extremely friendly and mindful and the boss makes sure he cuts no corners with the ingredients going into every dish. This is a staple in my life and I hope it is in yours too. Highest praise to this restaurant.
The service is great! These servers actually acknowledge that they heard your request and quickly execute on it. Food is excellent, very tasty. Steam shrimp roll, tropes, eggplant are excellent dishes. All the other dishes are great as well. Family if 4 average about $15/person. I highly recommend this dimsum place.
My favourite Chinese restaurant in Mississauga. Food is fresh and delicious. Service is always very friendly. I've gone for both dine in and take out. Really good quality ingredients and a fair price. Can't recommend enough.
Love this place. All the dim sum is made to order. This is a game changer compared to going to the places where they wheel around carts with cold stale food.
Service is extremely friendly - we have been going here for years and they automatically know we like to have our own bottle of hot sauce! I've tried all the dim sum places in Mississauga and Perfect Kitchen is the only place to go!
