We came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. As we entered we fell in love with the ambience. Then our food came. Wow! My girls were amazed. Not only the size of the servings but it's yummylicious taste. We agreed that we are highly recommend this awesome place.
Went today to axia it was my first time and the stuff where amazing and they where nice and the place looks awesome and the food is amazing and they have the best beef teriyaki ever the music is good !! I will be coming back soon :)
Excellent Food and our favorite place. Overall 5 start experience
We love going to Axia. Try the Dragon Roll - better still try it all it's so good.
Love this place! Some of the best sushi I've ever had.
Always great food and service.
We celebrated my mom's birthday last weekend with about 24 people. Service was outstanding and friendly! Thank you to the team at Axis for an enjoyable time!
Superb food, excellent service and enjoyed the music in the background as well. The extensive menu options were impressive. I'm looking forward to going back there soon to try more sushi options! Highly recommend.
Lower the prices 2 expensive but the food was legendary
Love it, best soup & Traditional Pad Thai I've ever tasted.... Great staff, very pleasant in the restaurant & when we get delivery it's very quick & hot. ❤ it, it's my favourite place to eat.
After hearing a lot of positive reviews about this place we came here for lunch
Must say their lunch menu was very limiter Not much choice
The good was the decor Wow!!! Had a huge tree in the middle of the restaurant looked Superb 👌
First came the miso soup wth the food It was very good enjoyed it
Next was the mango salad Actually no salad or nothing exciting just chopped sour mangoes Didn't like it
After that ordered Tso s chicken which was okay A little too sweet I also don't don't like batter fried stuff So didn't like it much Though the presentation was good
My sister had pepper chicken which was good much better than Tso s
My husband had beef wth brocolli which was bad salt less Nd bland
Again forgot to mention mix meat dimsums Only 3 pieces in one helping but good
This place is definatel not value for money as it's quite steep Nd food not that great
Yes would go there again to try their smack menu which starts at 3 thru 5 pm
The service was ok too
I'm really glad I found this place. I came here on a Friday evening and it was fairly busy but we got seated right away. The decor inside looks like you're outside. It's really unique and cute. The menu is huge and has tons to choose from. There's tons of sushi, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, etc. We started with veggie spring rolls and they were super delicious!
We got our cutlery and plates too late as we already finished our appetizer. I ordered teriyaki chicken and my boyfriend got the general Tao. I had to wait about 20 mins for my meal (said so on the menu) so my boyfriend got his meal first and I really couldn't wait to get mine. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. It was pretty damn good! There was tons of veggies under the chicken and they were fresh and chicken was just right and the teriyaki sauce was great too and my boyfriend loved his dish as well. Portion size was nice too. As I was leaving I was glancing at everyone's meals and everything looked so good and appetizing. I can't wait to come back and try something new next time.
I would of liked if we got our meals at the same time (that's just etiquette I find, despite mine took a bit longer to make) and cutlery and napkins before our appetizer. Our table didn't seem ready when we sat down. We really chowed down on those spring rolls and got the table a bit messy and our hands sticky but it was pretty busy so understandable but the food really made up for it and our waiter was really polite.
UPDATE: I came here again Saturday, March 5th and got the chicken chow mein and was really disappointed. It was extremely bland and the fishy salty taste was really throwing me off. They were kind enough to not charge us for it. Chicken spring rolls were delicious.
Nice variety of Asian food.. Food is good. Nice selection and variety. Service could be better but it's not too bad.
I am a regular customer here and it has always been consistently amazing. Especially for their vegan options. I definitely recommend trying it out they have so many options and the atmosphere is wonderful.
Not sure why there isn't a better rating for this place. I'm sitting here in the restaurant right now waiting for the bill. Food was great.. got a curry loaded with shrimp.. sad to say I was surprised bc I get chinced at other places. Anywho my belly is full and I gotta roll...
Very clean and hospitable service. Great takeout. Only thing lacking is the delivery to where I live. I have taken many people to this place and they have all loved and come back.
I really enjoyed the shrimp tempura sushi which had a special sauce on top. There were large portions. I couldn't finish it all. Great place to eat with friends and share great food at reasonable prices.
Most beautiful restuarant ever. The ceiling is a deep purple shade, like dark plums, SO PRETTY; okay so they make one of the best pad thais and the best spicy salmon rolls, but other than that, the food is just pretty lookin' but tastes mediocre. Bathrooms are nice :) that's always a plus
Atmosphere Is Great, Food Is Not Bad. I have to be honest, upon walking into this restaurant, it definitely is quite a sight. The flooring looks like a patio, feels like you are sitting outside. The decor is very well done, feels like it is authentic. They also have private rooms that are covered with a decorative sheet, very impressive! We had to wait a while to get our menus and our food. The service wasn't that great, the servers weren't very attentive and tried to rush us out. The food was adequate, nothing to rave about, I've had better elsewhere. It was also quite pricey, I wouldn't go back only because of the service and the food, the atmosphere alone won't bring me back there.
Decent at everything - nothing exceptional. I've been here numerous times as I work close by .. mostly for lunch.
While they aren't exceptional at anything, I (and the people I've dined w/) have never ever had a bad meal. It's not a quiet place as it's supposed to be like a asian marketplace.
I like it, but reminds me of that place on Seinfeld ... great if everyone wants something different (as long as it's asian) as it covers so many types of cuisine.
Very good overall. Went around 6 pm on a Friday and was seated right away. Took a little bit for the waitress to come take our order but also took us a while to decide what do eat because the menu was extensive. I ended up going with a hawaiian dragon roll with sticky rice and my partner got green curry chicken with Korean dumplings. Everything was delicious. Would go back again for sushi and other items
Excellent food and a comfortable place to dine. Firstly, I have visited Axia twice and I plan to come back again. The sushi rolls are very fresh and delicious especially the spicy shrimp and the avocado cucumber which is what I ordered. For my main dish I ordered the spicy malaysian noodles with shrimp and pork. They tasted very similar to the Shanghai noodles I had ordered previous week.......still, it was very tasty. The only complaint I have was that the sushi and my main course came out at the same time. The waiter was a young guy so maybe that explains the errors of serving and waitering....lol. During the evening he made numerous mistakes such as ordering the wrong dinner for my date and charging me the sushi as a Maki combo when I specifically asked for individual portions of 6 sushi rolls which is actually cheaper than the Maki combo. Other than that, the dining was very good. I highly recommend it.
So far this is our fave place for sushi. Softshell crab rolls and the boat is what we get everytime we go...even the waitress recognizes us and remembers our usual order.
Mississauga's Best Kept Secret!. Please open a new location downtown. I'm moving soon and it's going to be hard to find a place that will satisfy our cravings like Axia does.
Prices are good, food is great and the place has a unique identity unlike anything else. Perfect for dates or just relaxing.
Likes: Fresh Sushi! Best Curry in town. Almost everything is good.
Dislikes: Dim Sum only served from 12-3. No patio (though I am told this is coming next summer).
Eating at this restaurant was an exceptional experience! The food & the ambience were excellent even if the staff were less than friendly...
Widw selection of delicious Asian food... Great ambiance
Masayo. Recently 13 of us had a reunion at Axia. We ordered 8 different dishes from the extensive menu. We had Thai, Chinese and Japanese dishes. Everyone commented on how good the service and food was. They were so impressed with the clean, modern washroom and relaxing ambience. Inexpensive prices, quality, quantity and service - what more could you ask for.
Amazing Experience. I was referred to Axia by my friend so i decided to visit this place last weekend. Service was amazing and the waitress was very friendly and well informed. They answered all the questions i had about the dishes and even made recommendations based on what i told her i preferred. The great thing about this place is the selection. My fiance loves japanese and i love thai, and Axia had both tastes so we were both happy. Atmosphere was fantastic and even though we had to wait to be seated it wasn't all that long and was well worth it. I would definitely go back again. Try the thai mango salad and the sushi. Those were our favourites.
Great atmosphere, great food.. The atmosphere and decor in this place is very nice and trendy. The food here is great. The day we went wasn't busy, so we didn't have to wait for a table. The service was friendly but out waiter's English wasn't very good and at times it was hard to comprehend what he was saying but nonetheless he was very friendly. I agree with the reviewer that said the service was slow; it wasn't too bad, but considering the fact that there weren't too many people the time we went it could have been a bit faster. Otherwise, a good dining experience. I recommend this place.
Axia Restaurant in Mississauga. Axia has a good sized menu with selections from across Asia. The thing we enjoy most is the authenticity. This isn't fusion. With a few picky friends in the bunch, there's something anyone can enjoy with dishes ranging from Thai curry, sushi, Korean dumplings, Chinese noodle and rice dishes and even sake and Asian alcohol.
Axia doesn't use MSG, so sometimes things taste a little different, but I think this is a necessary thing for health considerations. Really depends on your preference, and this mostly only affects some Chinese dishes.
The sushi is fresh and the Chinese and Thai are always served in good sized portions.
Axia has a unique outdoor look to it which makes it nice for dates and events.
The service is a little slow at times and might be the only area of improvement. It's not bad, but certainly not the best we've had.
When you step inside this Mississauga restaurant it feels like you've stepped outside into a small town decorated with paper lanterns and greenery.
If it weren’t for the “Restaurant & Bar” in the name…you’d think Axia were a club. You did, didn’t you? Well, it’s not. I don’t know why they named it that, ’cause the inside of it looks like some sort of vacation package hotel….cane chairs upholstered in
