This place has been around for decades. They serve up every kind of fish you can think of. The fries were okay but the fish itself was fresh, really good. I can see why they're a staple in the community

The meal was not bad but the fish appeared to be frozen and not freshly battered like real fish and chips should be. The pieces of halibut were three small pieces battered into a three piece block indicating it was from a frozen box. I would have hoped for something better given the price.

I ordered the fish (haddock) and chips, with a can of root beer. The total was just about $14 (tax incl).
The plating of the food left much to be desired, while the ambience and decor of the establishment was quite lackluster. The furniture felt dated and perhaps a tad dirty, and the air smelled of deep fry. The service was very good though, and I was delivered my plate to my table.
Regarding the food: the fries were fresh and hot and had no salt or seasoning. This was ok as the focus should be on the fish, but it would benefit the restaurant to add just a bit of salt to the fries. The fish was great! The better wasn't too thick and remained crispy while the flesh was moist and flavorful.
The reason I am giving a three 🌟 rating has to do with the environment and the value. I think the price is a little high for an establishment that appears to cut corners on decor, cleanliness and "frills". However, if they spruced the place up a bit then I'm sure a 5 🌟 assessment is well within reach.

Nice little joint. It’s pretty basic. Staff is nice, fast service. My first time here.... needed a place for a quick bite with dad and it worked out. We got the halibut, the haddock and calamari. Food is not bad. Halibuts as a little dry but still good. Wish they made their own tarter sauce. They have a special sauce which seem like a diversion of a shrink sauce. I’d probably go back to give it another go

Between us we had haddock, cod, and scallops with chips. Everything was excellent. The batter was crispy and light. The food was not oily nor was there any oil on the plate. And, the fries were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The gravy was also excellent.

I really enjoy the fish you prepared for us. I would complement each dish wirh condiments. If you don't ask on your own, you will get nothing. Please napkins are important too.

Lucky i found this place , owner is from sri lanka and a very cool guy . I tried rougy fish and chips which were really nice . Fries are home made and are very tasty. Batter is perfect and size is a generous portion . I am going back for sure . Price is $$

Really good but feeding a family of 5 is now a $115 ordeal at a chip shop. Nonetheless they are busy for a reason. Great product and good service. Will return.

Food is good, we got haddock and chips and haddock with onion rings. Onion rings were good. Also got a large coleslaw. The fish is crispy and fresh and the batter is good. The coleslaw is always good.

I would say this restaurant is worthy of the title for best fish and chips in Mississauga. It's a great place to go if you are looking for something quick but food that is more appealing than grabbing fast food!
