Superb place for buffet enthusiasts. It has 12 different food stations serving variety of Indian food from chaat, south indian, paav bhaji to traditional north indian tandoori items and rich gravy items & biryanis etc. Though the price is a bit high it's worth a visit. They have two locations with one in Mississauga and another one at Brampton. Both are equally good.
1 thing I really liked about this place was the serving staff. They even did something out of the way to make us feel good.
Food is pretty good, nice collection of snacks.
Maine course was also good.
So, a good place if you want to enjoy Indian buffet with you friends and family.
Nice entrance and ambience but ventilation wasn't that good as you really feel the heat inside.
Gol gappe were beautifully done!
Paani poora shi flavour vaala v ....
Na jyada mitha na jyada mircha vaala ....
They had chick peas and raddish to fill those gol gappas but one thing they could add up to the table is boiled potatoes.
Sweet sauce was ok.
Chilli sauce could have more chilli and less green color....
Starters are not infinitely numbered as in most buffets .
Fries, spring rolls, onion rings, paneer pakora for the veggies. Somewhat oily but delicious and crispy.
Roasted chicken, afgani chicken cooked tender and juicy with fried and tawa fish is just perfect.
Plenty of items to choose from main course, for both veg and non veg.
Best was butter chicken and peshawari chicken followed by laal maas curry.
Full of flavours and perfectly cooked chicken.
Talking of veg.items.....let's not talk about them😂 who even looks at them especially in a buffet? But just to say, we did try for the sake of review and they turned out to be quite appetising and flavoursome.
Mumbai mango mojito was kind of perfect but had it been a little sweeter it would have been utopian. It was more on sour side and mango flavor wasn’t the most pronounced.
Yet the drink was refreshing.
Last but not the least, dessert, 😋
Fruit cakes, pies, jelly, gulaab jamun, rasgulla, chocolate pudding, and ice-cream scoops with sprinklers.
Best desert was the hot gulaabjamun and the chocolate pudding.
Ice-cream scoops melted right away after keeping them in the bowl because of the inside heat.
All in all it's the value for money and a great place to dine in with your friends and family!
Very good service by Ellie. Thank you so much for the experience. Would recommend this place for great Indian food an great ambience as well
Excellent Buffet Spread.
The only cons is it is somewhat costly.
Food was good.
You need to wait 20 min on weekends to get seats.
Hope you will see more branches in GTA.
Us 2 families visited the Flame on a weeknight... yet the place was packed! After a short wait we were escorted to our table. The buffet dinner was for $24 for over 13s, however if you buy 2 drinks, kids eat for free. The spread was pretty amazing. They had some good salads, chaat & kebabs to start off with, all pretty good. The green coriander chutney went very well with the fish pakoras & alu tiki. For mains there was butter chicken, achari prawns, laal maas, Hyderabadi gosht, biryani & much more, not to forget the veggie dishes. The flavour of the curries and texture of the meat was good. Service was spot on, and although crowded, not chaotic. I highly recommend this place for a taste of Indian food in Mississauga.
Decent food but quite expensive. Also, too many people and a bit cramped. Â The variety of the food and the number of dishes is what will make me go there again. One of the few decent and clean Indian restaurants in Mississauga.
We have been here quite a few times but astonished to see the rating. Not only do we live the variety, the place is always full. Besides beibg tasty, Each food item is carefully presented and staff is very friendly!
The Damn good Indian cuisine at tandoori flame. NYC atmosphere, very NYC staff. Large varieties spread of buffet. Food was amazing the chicken kebab was so delicious 😋.. The only think I felt tht there was very less option in veg starters it should more varieties. I hardly find 3 items in which I just like hara Bhara kebab. Otherwise it was fantastic
This restaurant tried to look as Indian as it could, right from its signboard. Some of the items in buffet were good, most were just okay. I would say it's a one time try.
Overall this place is pretty good. Good quality Indian food with a wide selection. With the buffet you can try and sample a wide variety that you normally wouldn't. There is also a good selection for picket kids too (pizza, chicken, fries etc). My phone Bly criticism was the service was a little slow. Constantly had dirty dishes on our table when we went to get more. Other than that.... Good place.
Looking for a new food experience and somewhat tired of the local downtown Toronto scene where I was staying, I decided to take a trip out to Mississauga, to a place recommended by a work colleague. The Tandoori Flame on Mavis Road at the Heartland Center
Whilst I didn’t have a reservation and it was a Friday night, I didn’t have to wait too long for a table. I chose the Butter Chicken with Papadams and some usual items off the buffet, curry etc and washed it down with a Tamarind Margarita and a Bollywood Splash. from the bar.!
Buffet was a little slow, but it was a Friday night and the staff were helpful. Food was delicious and certainly worth the drive out. Would come out again
My husband and I recently vacationed in Canada, and had an overnight stop in Mississauga. Tired and hungry we fancied something different from the usual fare and were recommended to the Tandoori Flame
Unassuming from the outside but fantastic inside, we were really pleasantly surprised. We were seated quickly by pleasant staff. We ordered from the buffet and had the Vegetable chat followed by Channa Marsala and Kahari Paneer with garlic naan bread with Lassi to wash it down
Food was hot and fresh and was delicious. We were very happy with the experience and would go again if in the area for sure
Tandoori Flame is North America's largest Indian buffet with two locations in Ontario; Mississauga and Brampton. The Mississauga location caters to serving only halal-certified food, as all items are halal. Halal is meat (excluding pork) that has been prepared according to Islamic guidelines. However, their Brampton location doesn't cater specifically to halal food, as they offer a mixture of food items. Both venues are quite spacious with 10,000 to 14,000 sq.ft, and has the capacity to serve more than 500 guests. I was kindly invited to check out the Mississauga location of Tandoori Flame last weekend to celebrate the Halal Food Festival 2015, which I also attended. This location of Tandoori Flame was situated in the commercial area of the Heartland Town Center, so there were ample parking spots.
There is a large selection of food, including child friendly items like French fries and pizza. The briyani was different than the last time I was there about a year ago, looked more red. When you come here you are not coming because the food is good, you are coming because it is a buffet, or you want to eat more than one thing. The food is between mediocre to good, because things can become cold when left out. When the place is busy wait times to be seated can be 30 - 40 mins. Would I go back, yes, is it a must visit probably not.

May 31, 2015 · by Caroline · Leave a Comment $$$ Now this afternoon was a magical experience.  Food bloggers and media gathered in downtown Toronto to be whisked away to India to sample the food along with the culture.  This event stands out in my mind because of how different it was from other events, being more of an adventure than a sit-down dinner. I learned so much while having fun. First we boarded this bus wrapped in Tandoori Flame signage.  Then we took turns getting dressed in colourful patterned Sarees as we bumped along to the Mississauga restaurant. The intoxicating aromas of the street snacks of India started to fill the small space.  India is famous for readily available street food, it’s variety reflects the diversity of cultures in the country. Today we sampled Reshmi Chicken Tikka marinated in besan with yogurt and cheese creating a nice balance. Next Hara Bara Kebab, made of mostly spinach is richly flavoured with ginger, green chillies bound together by mashed chana dal, green peas and paneer. Our final treat was this tangy kebab called Dahi Ke Sholay. This was my favorite. Paneer is used to balance the curds and breadcrumbs binding it all together, coated in spicy masala the deep fried – delish!
Where To DINE Now: Tandoori Flame. Bollywood comes to Mississauga
There are many roads that lead to the cuisine of India, and they all meet at Tandoori Flame, the largest Indian buffet in North America.
Who knew? It’s a gastronomic visit to India without a passport.
First, we meander along the counters marveling at the 150 different selections. There are Gol Gappas, Papri Chat, Bhel Puri, Samosas. We admire the Tandoori Kabobs and Tikkas, and take note of the many luscious vegetarian items. Every regional Indian cuisine is offered, providing tantalizing samples of Punjab, Delhi, and Rajasthan specialties. Even cocktails have been created to match well with the cuisine. Where to begin?
I start with an intriguing soup along with some crunchy vegetable pakoras, slightly apprehensive that I could be overwhelmed by spicy heat. They have been careful, and the seasoning in every dish is mild to medium. Want more heat? Just ask and they will comply.
Young owner, Shraey Gulati, has set out to be the best, and it appears he has succeeded. The success of Tandoori Flame–the largest Indian buffet in North America–showcasing the vast range of Indian cuisine in Brampton and in Mississauga, has enabled talk of a possible opening in Toronto.
The variety of curries is exciting. Butter chicken, Goat curry, Chicken Biryani, Daal, several types of Paneer, and my plate is almost full, except for a few samples of Naan.
What’s this? The sound of a drum and music. And here are costumed dancers whirling and twirling. It is all simply great fun.
Then I am back at the buffet for what turns out to be my favourite. Lamb chops and chicken from the Tandoor oven have the complex flavour and tenderness that I always appreciate in fine Indian cuisine.
Sauces. Chutneys. Pickles. Breads. It’s a monsoon of palate pleasing choices. And there are fresh fruit juices, traditional desserts and pastries. To taste it all will require at least three more visits. And I certainly plan to do that.
I enjoyed it here but word of advice, go at peak hours. Otherwise, as others have said - they don't replenish the food as much and some of it is cold. I've gone 3 times and the first two times was at lunch and everything was fresh and hot. The last time I went around 1:30pm and was pretty disappointed with the overall presentation: scarce on the salad, cold rice, ewww & the ice cream... they just did not keep everything as fresh because they were not busy.

Very Spacious and amazing ambiance..!!!
The sweet lassi was not that good....but paav bhaji. Dosa etc. is very much fine...!!! Jalebi's also need some correction...!!!
Their effort to bring almost everything from India under one roof should be appreciated....the taste of the food can be improved....but all in all very good experience....!!!
What makes Tandoori Flames' buffet the best buffet in the GTA is its sheer variety of entrees in the menu. At $25 per person, the quality and the ambiance justifies the price tag. The restaurant is spacious and well decorated and very clean, service is prompt as well. The Tandoori gave me a foodgasm - perfectly grilled and seasoned. The Indian snacks liek Pani puri and Chaat won them brownie points. Oh and the Gulaabjamun!
