Review Ambiance Of India - Mississauga

We dined in on Tuesday evening at 8 pm. Restaurant was empty. There were few delivery orders but for dine in at that time, we were the only one’s. we enjoyed the food we ordered Palak paneer, Daal makhani, butter chicken, Baingan patiala and paneer Tikka. We liked everything except Paneer Tikka. It didnt taste authentic and didnt look like tikka comes out of tandoor. Place was clean and service was excellent! All over 8.5/10

Hello foodies after some errands in the area and driving by this restaurant and seeing a sign on the side of the road promoting there lunch special for $8.99 I decided to stop in for the second time and try this lunch special. This was my second lunch time visit to this restaurant this time not for buffet and walking in at noon hour and being the only person in there is not a good sign ..this place should be busy but I was the only lone dinner . I ordered there butter chicken lunch special. It comes to the table in a thali plate with chana masala, salad .rice ,chicken breast butter chicken and two samosas a generous portion I was thinking to myself . Food 3/5 again my previous rating did not change once more . The food quality and taste was average at best realistically based on food alone I would rate it a 2/5 but the portion size was very generous and the fresh nan breas was the star of the meal ...the chana was bland and almost under cooked the butter chicken really lacked that amazing buttery spicy combo I normally find . Service 3/5 the service was again very nice friendly and efficient. However there loosing a few points for false advertising my lunch special was actually 11.99 plus tax and a service fee they charge for eating in never encountered this before this is so wrong in so many ways ..it explains why the restaurant was empty my meal with one canned gingerale came to $20 and change no were close to the sign price of. $8.99 very disappointing and probably my last time Io eat here ...

Party of 5 on a Tuesday evening. Most excellent food, excellent service by the staff. Nice decor and, indeed, ambiance of India. Prices are on par with similar establishments. Highly recommend the place.

Delicious flavorful chicken Korma & fish tikka masala. The chicken & fish were well cooked and marinated. Garlic naan was perfect, crispy & light to eat. The server was friendly with great customer service. And they are HALAL! It was really good that i forgot to take pictures.

Tried this restaurant for last 7 years, and they never disappointed. Tastes, aroma and prices are excellent. Both veg as well as non veg foods are yummy. Butter naans are world class and you can see them baking naans. They have liquor section too.

Fantastic food, great service. I've had their lunch buffet dozens of times over the years, and have gone with friends quite often for dinner. I've never been disappointed. This is a great place to have a delicious, relaxing meal with friends and family.

I ordered the special they have 3 days ago and it was supposed to be 8.99 plus tax. I got to the restraunt and the guy charges me 9.99. its not about the money its about the guy being dishonest. when I called he told be 8.99 too. I have been going there for years. Thye need to bring the other employee back

I ordered lamb byriani and butter chicken.......I know what i wanted and was expecting so much more cause the rating on skip was 10!!! The byriani was dry and its the most expansive one i paid so far usually 16 this was 22 . Thanks god they was the yogurt sauce to hydrate it! And the butter chicken came w no rice to eat with! Strange. And i never had a butter chicken w only tomatoe sauce???? Just sad!

When you step into this place, you feel like you are in india.Beautiful decor, the pictures on the walls are perfect. But coming to the food specially in the buffet the choices are very less.Well i went there for team lunch and if you are loooking for a place for a team which have mixture of veg nonveg at a very reasonable price this is very suitable to opt for.The taste of the food and service is ok.This place is optimum for good price large bunch of both veg and non veg but the taste of food quality can definitely be improved. But if you are only looking for good indian food and ambience dont matter..there are plenty of other options as well

Ambiance offers a lunch buffet, which has a good mix of vegetarian and omnivorous options, and they will bring you fresh naan. It's very good, and I've taken guests there many times and all have enjoyed. In the evenings there is an a la carte menu, and this is excellent. Whilst I enjoy the lunch buffet, the a la carte takes it to the next level with flavours that are much more intriguing. Staff are very friendly and it's well priced. All the decor is authentic, even some of the tables are from India

If you are looking for a hidden gem, Ambience of India is the place. A quiet place, serving delicious Indian meals. The Naans were fresh and tasty, as were the beautifully plated meals.

Great service, great food at reasonable prices!. I have gone to Ambiance of India many times over the past two years. Often I go for the luch buffet. The food is always very good, fresh, with quality ingredients. With regard to the dinner menu, I find the prices reasonable, with excellent portions and delicious. My husband and I have different favourites, but we agree on one thing - it's all very good.

This place has the BEST and most AUTHENTIC indian food in Mississauga. I've gone to this restaurant 4 times now for lunch, and each and everytime the food is amazing - hot, flavourful, fresh - and continually replenished. I tried a bit of everything and it was delicious - tandoori chicken, butter chicken, lentils, chickpeas, spinach with paneer, soup, goat, warm naan etc. There is a perfect variety. For those who think there is not enough food, well indian food doesn't need to be served as a mandarin buffet for it to be good. Moreover, the service is always amicable. Plus, for $12.99 how could you go wrong!!! For this quality and taste, I could care less the price.

So good every time. We've become fans of this restaurant after several visits now. We love the calm, cozy and almost elegant environment, while the staff are impeccable in theirr attention without the cheesy overblown trained-seals one finds in modern spots. When we looked at our bill last night, we were amazed at how reasonable it was- 80$ for 4 people (no alcohol though). When you consider the caliber of the food, this is a delight.
We ordered pakoras and bajhi, then shared aloo gobi, tandoori chicken, chicken korma and chana dhal. Plenty of naan as well! Well, this food is so good you can eat with your eyes closed, enjoying the flavours. We have brought a few different friends here now and all are amazed by this place, enough that they bring friends here too. Generally, we avoid chain restaurants because good owners care a lot- obvious here.

Buffet Was Not Good. We came here as we had a Groupon coupon that we wanted to redeem. We came for a lunch on Monday afternoon at 12:30 pm. When I walked in, I was kindly greeted by a man who came to the front of the restaurant. He seated me at a booth; I told him that I was waiting for another individual to come. He asked if I wanted something to drink and I told him that I would like water. He brought the water over for myself and my guest. As I was waiting for my guest, the man brought over naan bread in a basket. The naan bread was cold and stale; it had no taste to it. I was actually surprised as I thought it would have been good. When my guest arrived, we helped ourselves to the buffet. The buffet was quite cold, especially the tandoori chicken, which tasted as though it had been sitting there for quite a while. All of the other items were cold as well. The taste of the items at the buffet table were good, but not hot enough, and this didn't sit well with us. There was quite a good selection, but it was hardly replenished. There weren't too many people at the time that we went therefore, we figured that was why it wasn't replenished often. The man who served us was very kind, and the place itself was very well-decorated; it had an ancient feel to it which made it interesting. We weren't even able to use the Groupon that I had purchased since it was for the lunch buffet and it wasn't redeemable during the lunch buffet. The food itself just didn't cut it for us; if it was hotter and replenished more often, I probably would be back. I would recommend that you all give it a try; the price is good ($11.99 for the lunch buffet) but just know that you may not get the hottest food that you desire. I may even give it a try for the a la carte menu, but not for the lunch buffet anymore.

Top Curry. The Ambiance of India is the best Indian restaurant in the GTA that I've experienced. All of the dishes I've tried have been very authentic, full of flavour and delicious. A nice feature of the restaurant is that you can watch the chef preparing the tandoori dishes and making the naan breads inside the glass-walled tandoori cooking area.

A definite thumbs up to all curry fans for authenticity, food quality, service, and atmosphere

The softest naan I've ever had. Delicious food. Decent waiters. Definitely will visit again.

Went for the first time for the lunch buffet... Friendly staff and even more tasty food. Will definitely go back!

Outstanding. We're regulars there and just yesterday the butter chicken has never been better - the chicken was cooked thoroughly and yet it wasn't dry. The chili chicken was outstanding, the veggies are always fresh and for a buffet...the food is nice and hot! The owner is very pleasant and they're not in your face with the water all the time to fill you up fast so you'll eat less food. (An old buffet restaurant classic trick.) The naan was just fluffy and crispy and never better. Yesterday was our best dining experience yet! Highly recommended. (And darn close to home too - hee hee!)

Best Naan I've ever had!. Recently went back to the Ambiance of India for the third time and took my boyfriend along who was visiting. We both agree it is the most amazing naan we've ever had, somehow simultaneously crispy and soft. The service was friendly and prompt. They didn't seem to mind that we only wanted water to drink and they refilled our glasses frequently. We had delicious onion bhajis to start, kadhai paneer and malai kofta along with naan and rice. The servings are generous and we both had food leftover to take home. I love this restaurant, the atmosphere, the food and the service are all excellent!

Great food. We purchased a few Vouchers for this restaurant that we used for dine in and take out. The waiters are very polite and friendly. The food is delicious. We usually order Tandoori Chicken, Madras Curry, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala. The curry dishes come with one naan each. They also have garlic naan that is very delicious. The lunch buffet however is not restocked so you should be there by 12 noon to get a good selection. They do bring fresh naans to the table.
Even though we used a number of Vouchers from Groupon, Wagjag etc. they were always welcoming and gave us great service.
We always go here with our family and have loved it everytime.
