Review Thyme Ristorante - Mississauga

Had a late-ish dinner with some friends. The server was grumpy and mentioned they'd been working a long shift. It was an older lady and I did feel bad but the tone of the dinner started off bad because of it. Their drinks selection could use some work. The risotto was way too oily and I found a couple prices of gnocchi mixed into it for whatever reason. Price is good but good was average and service so-so, hence the 3 stars. Give it a try but don't have high expectations.

I come from an Italian family and have had homemade Italian pasta made for me my entire life, I have never had anything as good as my grandmother made until now. The Gnocchi Gorgonzola was melt in your mouth delicious, my daughter had the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and said it was the best she ever had. The Bruschetta was loaded which was a nice surprise as other restaurants barely put any toppings on it and the bread that came with the meal was amazing. I had a concern when placing my order online but it was fixed quickly by the wonderful staff. Super impressed and will definitely be ordering from here again.

I never leave any comments or reviews but I just got this order. It is my First time ordering from this place, the order came cold and the quality of pizza was very disappointing, it was like eating hard cracker with toppings soaked in tons of oil.

We love this restaurant, it's a small intimate place that serves great food from a varied menu. Their dishes range from Italian to Thai food, and fusions. I had the pasta in a curry sauce with chicken.. yummmm... The prices are very reasonable. There is a Somaloer available to help you select the perfect wine. Last but not least, the staff are fantastic! Consider this place a must try.

We’ve Walked in many times, and reserved…dressed up and gone super casual…food is consistently excellent. You can request little changes to suite your diet….as a REALLY PICKY Eater, I always enjoy my meal there. You won’t be disappointed.

Lastnight me and my friend ordered from here. Food is pretty consistent. But this time I ordered the meat tortellini and it was AHMAZING. The meat filling is so delicious and flavourful. I really was not expecting it to be that good. Please don’t stop making it!!

This restaurant is very good value for money. I have never had a bad meal here. The salmon and lamb chops are to die for. I always have a hard deciding between the two.

This place is AMAZING. Family owned restaurant with both Italian and Thai food - and both were amazing which you never see. The bread was homemade and delicious. We got the zuppa and crab wonton - which were good. We got the lamb which was good. The thyme spaghetti which had oyster sauce was not my fav BUT I should have read the details beforehand. Didn't realize it had a Thai flavour to it. Otherwise I will go ahead and try other dishes.

My husband and I frequent this restaurant. We were very disappointed this time whereby the waiter did not tell us that there was an up charge for pasta in what we ordered. For example, my husband ordered chicken marsala. The waiter asked “what type of pasta and sauce would you like” Spaghetti and Bolognese sauce. I ordered the lamb special and waiter asked “which pasta and sauce”. Spaghetti and Alfredo. When our bill came, they charged us $3.50 extra on top of the $17.95 for the pasta and $2.50 for the sauce. My lamb dish was $27.00 and charged me extra $2.50 for the Alfredo sauce. What type of Restaurant charges you extra when that’s on the menu. The waiter should’ve stated that there was an up charge to what we ordered. It’s not like we asked for something over and above what was offered in the dish. We will never go back again after having this experience. Very disappointed as we liked this restaurant.

I made reservations with a very pleasant young lady for last evening. There were eight of us and we were celebrating my Father’s 93rd Birthday – it is one of his favourite restaurants. As usual, we were greeted and seated promptly and the wait staff was very efficient and courteous. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and Randy was Randy (every restaurant should have a Randy!). I would recommend (and have) Thyme as a great place to dine. I should also mention Randy was not our waiter but the young fellow that was could not have been more pleasant or efficient then he was. Oh, and the cost was very reasonable for the quality of the food.

Fantastic gem in Port Credit area of Mississauga. The food is excellent and the staff are always attentive, friendly and welcoming. I love coming here with my friends and family and would highly recommend it to you.

We went with a large group for a birthday celebration and the seating was very good, in a separate room off to the side? Great friendly service, kept on top of our cocktails and food arrived in good time. The lobster ravioli was delicious and lamb chops were superb! Other guests really enjoyed their meals and price seemed quite reasonable. Can't wait to go back and try something else!

We've been there several times and it's always been an enjoyable experience. The service and food, always excellent. One of our favorite restaurants.

We went here for our daughter's birthday dinner. There were eight of us and each of us ordered a different dish (pizza carne, risotto Toscana, spaghetti rose, spaghetti Riviera, spaghetti polpettini, spaghetti puttanesca, lasagna and thyme gnocchi. Each one enjoyed the food and the even greater service - will definitely go back!

Rare combination of cosmopolitan class and small town warmth. Succulent entrees and beautiful ambiance.

I am so disappointed. The service and quality of food here has gone so downhill over the past few months. We will not be coming back especially not after management brushed off our concerns and claimed we were the first to complain about their pizza quality. I have a picture to prove they left saran wrap in the pizza dough. That was the last straw!

Food was delicious and fast. It came fresh and hot even though it feels like minus 30 out! Absolutely would recommend it and will be ordering again for sure!

I've been a frequent customer at Thyme since they opened their doors nearly 15 years ago. Wonderful personalized service, consistently great food and daily specials keep me coming back. Added bonus is that they offer free parking right outside the door.

Don't miss out on this hidden gem nestled between lakeview and port credit. I have been going here for years and even had my wedding shower here. The food is fantastic and so is the atmosphere! Feels like you are in Tuscany-- very quaint. Randy is also a fantastic waiter, always friendly and accomadating. The only thing I suggest is if you are sitting for a bit having some drinks they should bring the bread out instead of waiting till you place your order.

First time I went here it was perfect<br/>then we started ordering in and they would mess up the order, and I love Italian so I went for my birthday and my guests were late and when they finally arrived we waited in the empty restaurant for about 20 minutes for them to come ask if we ready, when the food finally came the waitress squeezed inbetween the chairs to fill my water and poured a good amount of water in my food laughed and didn't apologize or think to get me another dish, business has gone down the drain.

Wait for your food or order ahead. Went for a birthday celebration lunch on Monday. Had made reservations. We were on time, (4 people) and the third party to be seated. There were 4 people ahead of us. We gave our order (all lunch specials) and waited just over an hour to receive our food. While waiting for our food, the restaurant did fill up, and I did notice that a table received their food ahead of us. I asked the waitress why they got their food ahead of us and she said they come in regularly and always call ahead. Also a disappointment was that the salad is plated with the entree and not served separate. Only if I have a full stomach will I go back to this restaurant.

Simply the best. This place delivers... Hot and fresh Pizza cold crisp salads baked fresh pastries and did I mention fast courtesy delivery.<br/>Don't waste you tyme when this is the place locals eat... We live up the street! <br/>Thanks for a great dinner

Port Credit Fave!. I am never disappointed when dining here. Always great food no matter what I order.

Not Bad, But Not Great. We came here for a birthday celebration on a Sunday for lunch. We had made reservations therefore, our table was ready when we arrived. There were probably about three other tables at the time in which we arrived. We sat down and we ordered our meals within 15 minutes. We waited another 10 minutes for our drinks; water and one glass of beer. We didn't receive our complimentary bread until about 10 minutes after our drinks arrived. Our server was nice enough however, everything seemed really slow; and there weren't too many people there. Our appetizer (grilled calamari) came about five minutes after our complimentary bread arrived. It was okay, nothing special; we were disappointed that there were no fried calamari available. It was great that we were given a bowl of complimentary salad with our main dishes. The salads arrived about fifteen minutes before our main dishes arrived. The salads seemed a bit small, and the caesar salad didn't have enough dressing on it. After we finished our salads, our main dishes arrived. The pasta dishes were pretty full with a lot of fish and meat however, the pizza was not good; it tasted as though it were something from a box. We were expecting thin-crust pizza however, were instead served something from a fast-food chain. We weren't too impressed with the pizza. It took us about two hours to finish eating which was quite long considering that during the meal, there were probably only about two other tables. The meal itself, for six of us, came out to $150 which wasn't too bad. However, I don't think I would be back, only because the food wasn't as great as I expected. I may come back to try another dish, we will see. The prices were great though, would recommend coming back for that.

Good but slow. Food was pretty good, great starter salad, pasta dishes were big and tasted great, but some of the noodles were stuck together.<br/>Nice waiter , but really slow...they may have been understaffed and he was trying his best but just not that pleasant when you have to wait so long for drinks and food.

Thyme Ristorante is a humble little gem in Port Credit which we stumbled upon by chance last night.<br/><br/>The Tuscany-like ambiance is cozy and welcoming. We sat by the windows to a wobbly table. The gentleman who sat us was rather apologetic about this and did what he could to correct the situation. While he couldn't quite get it fixed the fact that he made the effort certainly made us feel that this establishment cares about their customers' overall dining experience.<br/><br/>The food was fantastic. We ordered cream of mushroom soup, lasagna and linguine veneto. The food was piping hot and the portions were generous. While I can't personally critique the lasagna I can offer that the linguine was extremely flavourful without any one element overpowering the other. The soup was creamy in taste as opposed to watery. <br/><br/>The staff were pleasant, courteous and treated us as though we were regulars. The price point for this casual (but still elegant!) place was reasonable.<br/><br/>A neat little surprise is that they also offer Thai cuisine (which I hope to try on the next visit). My boyfriend and I agree we would make this a regular spot and would highly recommend anyone to this place for fine Italian fare!

VERY Fine Dining. I've been to a lot of Italian Fine dining restaurants and this one in particular stood out to me. The food was very well cooked to my liking. The pasta itself was perfectly made and the sauces always compliment the dish! I had the Fusilli Rustica with Rose sauce. The service is phenomenal. Always friendly and they really know their dishes. The price is also VERY affordable compared to other restaurants. The ambiance suits the restaurant and it really is a beautiful place. It makes me feel like I'm in Italy !<br/><br/>I highly recommend this fine-dining restaurant. You won't be disappointed!

Best Italian in Port Credit. Randy, omg.. Randy.. LOL. People know what I am talking about. This guy is friendly as hell, and is total jokes. He can relate to any age group, any profession, he's a jack of all trades and he get's your meals right the FIRST TIME and fast too if youre in a rush! The food was great too, ordered the special lobster ravioli, homemade and fresh too. You can definitely taste that, and my husband ordered lamb chops cooked exactly how he wanted it the first time around. This is a difficult thing to find, honestly. It was much cheaper than we had expected seeing as the quality of food, the beautiful atmosphere and the great attention and service we were provided. Best thing about this place is (1) The deep fried wontons... (2) every waiter can accommodate you even though youre not in their section. Even had the owners and hostess to pour drinks and make orders..

Big Disappointment. We arrived at 7:00 and did not get our food until 9:00.<br/>I am vegetarian and ordered a pizza and after two hours it came with <br/>peperoni. My husband could not eat his veal meal and he is not a picky eater.<br/>The manager was arguing with other unhappy customers.<br/>The kitchen cannot accommodate the customers. The waiter<br/>apologized and said the problem was that everyone arrived at once.<br/>A restaurant cannot function like that. We will not be returning.

Best food i've had in a long time. Friendly staff, quick service, I want to eat here everyday. If your hungry...this place was cheaper then my breakfast at Dennys. Must try!!!!

7.8/10. Pleasantly surprised with the food. It certainly doesn't look impressive from the outside, but that's why they say, don't judge a book by its cover !! Service was great, food was up to par, prices were better than I was preparted to shell out. Cozy and unpretentious Italian dining experience....will definately come back =D

Simply Wonderful!. I love this restaurant! The atmospher is cozy and welcoming. The service is exceptional and the food is delightful! I have tried almost everything on the menu and I am in love with their pizzas, pastas (seafood linguine is to die for!) And their goat cheese berry salad. Ask for Randy or Jay (they have a keen understanding of the art of customer service). Visit this restaurant just once and you will return thyme and thyme again!

Ordered take-out on a Saturday night and the entered arrived hot and delicious (veal Marsala and a seafood pasta dish). The risotto was not a risotto at all but more like a rice dish I.e. The consistency was all wrong - but it was still delicious. Ceasar 's salad was drowning in dressing so I will order dressing on the side next time - but would definitely go back!!! Try it!

Makes you feel like a somebody. Service here is great, the food is excellent. It is busy here, but they will remember you on your second visit. Ask for Randy the best of the best for that personal touch. Specials here are always great to try.

We had the salmon and risotto. Both were very tasty and had great presentation. Service was also very good. The house red wine was simple and easy to drink. The bill was $90 with 1/2 l of wine, pelegrino, desert and tip.

Overall I would rate this place an 85% as the food was good, the bread was phenomenal, and the service was good while the cost was affordable.
