Review The Crooked Cue - Mississauga

A nice clean spot to play a game of pool, have drinks, or have a nice meal in a casual environment. Excellent food, very nice staff, friendly atmosphere. Recently went there for lunch with my daughter. I hadn't been in a few years and it did not disappoint. Food was fantastic, drinks were good, the patio was comfortable, and the waitress was friendly and attentive. Can't ask for better than that.

Great location, patio is wonderful. The hostess was so great and welcomed us so warmly. The server was very sweet. I am so happy about there being vegan options on the menu. We shared the vegan pizza it was delicious! Next time I’ll try out more vegan things. Would like to add we noticed there was no music and I think that would bring up the energy even more. Will be back soon!

The ambience here is great, a good sports bar with pool tables, the jerk wings are delicious and lots of beer options on tap! They have Delirium and a few other Belgium favourites on tap which is hard to find. Overall a great spot to hang out, have a beer, and catch up with friends.

We never disappointed in this location. Great entertainment place to go. Have lunch or dinner then amuse yourself with their pool.

Great and a happening place to have dinners or get togethers with friends. The best part about this restaurant is they have a heated patio outside which can be occupied even during sub zero temperatures. Quite good options available for vegetarians/vegans as well. The only improvement area can be their service since that was very slow. Otherwise a great place to hangout while visiting Port Credit.

Great selection of beer. This is a place for sport fans (that's it!) Service wasn't great, note were our drinks were placed, dirty coaster and bar top. Quesadilla took 45 minutes.

Visited for dinner and everything was great. Service excellent, didn’t feel rushed, we were given a 90 min limit, we spent at least 2 hrs or more there. Food tasty and it’s a nice quaint patio! Inside it’s a vast open loft style resto with pool tables, looks stylish, by no means a dive pool hall at all. We got there at 6:00pm and it was steady, started getting busy by 7:00pm. Go visit if you’re in the area!

Jerk tacos were good and spicy! And calamari and shrimp was good as yummy Also got some bubbly champagne 🍾

NOT THAT BAD. Honestly speaking went there to munch and play some ping pong. Sweet potato fries and nachos were great. But its precisely the same around the world. <br/>This place gets five stars for its ambience and quick service. Ping pong and pool tables are ample. Not much waiting time. <br/>Vegetarian options as always were limited. I would recommend this place for spending good time with friends while playing pool or pingpong and light munching. <br/>Thanks. This is possibly the worst place in Mississauga you could go to for drink or dinner. Awful food and sneaky surcharges. Make sure you double check your bill here!

Consistently good burgers, consistently poor service. Although we had previously experienced poor service at The Crooked Cue, we returned to give them the benefit of a doubt. Once again we were disappointed. Asked for a glass of water, waited too long to get it. Took a quick sip and found the taste and smell disgusting. It looked like water with slight carbonation, and smelled liked cleaning solution. Did not want to make a fuss so decided to politely tell the server I think I got someone else's pop. He said no worries, he'd bring water. That took way too long to come! My companion was half finished her beer before it came. It was delivered with our burgers and the server walked away so quickly I barely had a chance to ask for mayo before he rushed away. He did acknowledge he heard me and said he'd be back. I watched him go serve another table and make someone else an alcoholic beverage before he brought me my mayo. My dinner companion had half eaten her burger by this time. Luckily I had fries to munch on while my burger sat there waiting for mayo. I bothered it that it was no longer hot. It was tasty but I am sure it would have tasted way better if he'd brought me the mayo FOR MY BURGER as soon as I'd asked for it. The place was not busy at all ... mostly empty tables. When it was time to settle up the bill, I asked the waiter to smell my "water". He agreed it was bad and said something to the effect "oh well, I brought you another water". It had been hard to enjoy my meal with the thought that I had possibly sipped cleaning solution before my food arrived! It didn't feel any better to have the server express an "oh well, couldn't care less" attitude. No apology was given. We will not return. I am sure they are other tasty burgers in Port Credit!

It once had great food with generous portions at a reasonable price, but now the half portions are like appetizers. I ordered a chicken club sandwich. You would think, you can't go wrong with such a simple sandwich. Wrong. It was a tasteless rubber chicken on a doughy bun , with 2 pieces of limp bacon, slathered with some tasteless sauce. <br/>The sweet potato fries were as limp as the bacon. All seemed like cafeteria food, warming under a heat lamp. What happened?

A place like the Crooked Cue should offer a couple of things. Beer, good pub food and pool. They accomplish all of theses things. Try the burgers and sweet potatoe fries. Amazing. If your looking to have your ego stroked like someone else who reviewed this pub, then go somewhere else. Food is good and so are the drinks.

Their JD Smokehouse Burger is the most delicious burger I've ever eaten. The beer prices seemed a tad high although the selection of beers was good.

This place is full of pretentious douchebags trained to act like beer snobs so they can justify a $9.00 Guinness. On top of that, there are way better places to eat for the same price on the same street.

Nicely done!. Really something. IN addition to an outstanding selection of local and international micro brews, "the Cue" offers a diverse menue of delicious courses. If you are into wings, these wings are substantial. If you have a more discerning taste, the menu delivers on that too. Oh, by the way, you can also play pool!

Great Place!. Amazing burgers and beer! Very "homey" feel, welcoming and positive atmosphere all together. Would definitely go again!

Great experience. Really enjoy the atmosphere, comfortable place to take a date as well as get together with a bunch of friends. Big selection of craft beers on tap. Ate lunch, half pizza with a salad was perfect amount of food, tasty and fresh.

Late Nite Dinner. Started out with the Mexican Layer Dip. Dip was good. Tortilla chips were super stale and you could tell they were old. Main course, The Chicken Club on Ciabatta bun. The whole sandwich was MESSY! The bun was dry, stale and old. Both bottom and top halves of the bun were broken and just placed on the sandwich like a jig-saw puzzle. The french fries were half burnt, half still raw. The other person i was with, had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich. Said that the chicken was super dry and thankfully there was a tiny bit of sause to save the whole sandwich.<br/>The service was not up to par. The server barely came to the section we were sitting in. And when she did, never glanced at our direction. The appatizer plate was sitting at the opposite end of where we were sitting, hence letting her know that we were done with it, was left there through out the meal. <br/>I had to flag the server down a few times to get their attention. Rationing a drink when the food is dry is tough work. But necessary for survival with that meal.<br/>She was quick with coming for the money and check though. <br/>I will not be going back there.

Always great food, and fantastic beer selection. Great for pool too!

The teriaki steak salad is the bomb. Food is great for a pool hall. Tables need maintainance.

Didn't have much to eat. Went here for drinks and a couple of appetizers. DO NOT get the 4 layer Mexican dip, very misleading and in fact quite unappetizing (nothing like hot curdled Philly cheese and salsa).

I was hungry<br/><br/>It was almost 10:30 pm<br/><br/>Nothing really opens<br/><br/>A moment of weakness.....<br/><br/>I needed food<br/><br/>My Mini Slider ($8.99) though accordingly to the menu has this locally sourced/hormone & antibiotic free awesome beef but the meat was dry and bland.... Chicken Wings ($12.95) was sizable and meaty but a little bland too!<br/><br/>Beer selection though is really good! Love how they have Old Credit Brewery on tap and this is as local as it can get!<br/><br/>Beer tasting for $7.25 with selection of any 4 beers on the list. But my waiter said they running out of sampling glass and I might not able to order that?! This was on a Tuesday and only 3 patrons were doing the flight at the other table and they ran out of sampling glass?! <br/><br/>The Crooked Cue though is a good place to enjoy a pint or 2 when you are in the neighbourhood! Especially if you want some good beers!
