Great menu- Thai and Vietnamese.
Honest food for honest price .. always full of people. A place to discover. The mango salad is perfect and soups have good flavors.
Enjoy it
Food was amazing, and I highly recommend their fish and green curry! The main dishes are all spicy, sweet and full of flavour! Only reason that this is short of 5 stars is because the appetizers are pretty ordinary and the platter of appetizers we got had an array of things, but they all tasted the same and were different fried snacks. Still highly recommend going but I would just skip on the starters! Don’t miss out on the fish curries!
Located at Courtney Park and Hueontario this is hands down the Best Thai restaurant in sauga. My recommendations - Thai Chicken Skewers, Tom Yum Soup, Panang Curry, Green Curry and Thai Spicy Noodles. Pad thai was just about average.
Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was clean. We ordered the pineapple fried rice and the ginger chicken. I expected more from the ginger chicken. You couldn't taste the ginger unless you ate a big piece of the sliced ginger that was cooked with it. I would recommend asking for the ginger to be minced. Maybe it would taste better. Would go again but would not get the ginger chicken.
After trying a couple of Thai restaurants in Mississauga, we got invited to TF.
Started with a Thai style Iced Tea, some Veggie Spring Rolls, a Thai Lemongrass Soup (Tom Yum) and a Mango Salad.
I have never tried Iced Tea, Thai style and was quite surprised with the flavour. Sweet Tea, Coconut Milk and perhaps sweetened condensed milk. Delicious. Ask for a little less ice.
The mango salad was usual. The mango sweet and sour, mint, cashew nuts and the right amount of dressing.
The veggie spring rolls were crisp and well filled with veggies. The dipping sauce way too mild for me but there is nothing that Sriracha cannot fix.
The Tom Yum was a bit too mild for us, but the flavour was good. Needed a bit more heat in it.
After the appetizers, we ordered a Green Curry with Coconut Rice, Masaman Curry with steamed rice and a Lemongrass Fried Rice.
The Green Curry hit the right notes of flavour and heat. The curry smooth and filled with Coconut Milk. The rice could have used a bit more coconut milk while cooking. The Masaman Curry - never had a Thai Curry with potatoes, was good, but the potatoes spoilt the taste for me. The Lemongrass Fried Rice was unique. Always had a Basil Fried Rice, but this was unique. Much much milder flavour and good if you are looking for a change from the usual.
The service excellent, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere good. There is construction going outside, so the signs are a bit hard to see outside.
Fancy and recommend this place
We recently visited Twin Fish in Etobicoke to try their Thai cuisine. This is their second restaurant by the same name, located at 1255 The Queensway in Etobicoke near Queensway/Kipling, the first being in Mississauga at Hurontario/Courtney Park. We have been to the Courtney Park location numerous times and always find the food excellent and consistantly delicious, and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The Etobicoke location was no disappointment and lives up to the high standard of the original restaurant. The menu has something for everyone (all Thai) but my favourites are the Bankok Street Style Pad Thai or the Mango Chicken and my wife loves the Spicy Red Snapper with Thai Curry Sauce. As a starter you have to try the Calamari or the Thai Spring Rolls.... so good! Though the Etobicoke location is much smaller they have a cozy seating area for eat in but also offer take out.
If you are looking for reasonably priced, excellent quality Thai food, don't pass up the opportunity to try Twin Fish, either location!
Really great ambiance. Though the space may be a bit cramped and there is limited seating the food is spectacular. I recommend the coconut rice and the pad thai. The staff is very welcoming and kind as well.
I am a regular at Twin Fish. I go with my wife about once a month. Usually get take out but sitting in is nice. We usually get the pad Thai with chicken or shrimp. We also get the Thai salad to go with it. I have not had better pad Thai anywhere. The Thai salad has a really fresh taste to it. It has a little bit of kick to it and it is a explosion of flavours. When the salad is done, the remaining sauce usually goes on top of the pad Thai. If you sit down, I recommend the ginger honey tea because they use real chopped ginger and honey. The Vietnamese coffee is also really good. They have a mug with condensed milk and the coffee drips into the mug. No sugar is needed because of the condensed milk. The prices are really good for the amount of food you get.
Ambience, great food, and friendly service. I always love going to twin fish. Price is just. Ambience is classy. People are very FRIENDLY and attentive. Honestly, I love the Christian music playing in the background, It is soothing and relaxing while eating. It is what makes it unique. Will keep on coming back here.
A lovely family restaurant!. I just visited this restaurant with my family last night. I enjoy the atmosphere and certainly knowing it was owned and operated by a Christian family made me felt right at home. I do not agree with a previous reviewer about that the Christian music is annoying. I actually love this place because of the Christian music and the owners are not afraid to show their faith. Playing Christian music will not lose any customers and I can assure you if you put your complete trust in God, His blessings will overwhelm you.
The staff is wonderful, they care for everyone just like their family! The food is just excellent, one of the best Thai restaurant that I have tasted in Mississauga!
Great authentic Thai! Everything I tasted was excellent a must go! Hope quality stays so I can continue to go. Try the Bok Choy in garlic sauce best I ever had! I and have had at many places.
CHURCH MUSIC ANNOYING. FOOD & SERVICE GOOD. Our family recently visited this restaurant. The ambience, including several Christian scripture wall items were pleasant (I am a Christian also).
The Mango salad, Green Curry and South Thai lamb was very good. The servers were sweet and attentive. HOWEVER, the constant and I mean constant playing of Christian music and hymns in the background was surprising and annoying. Instrumental Thai music would be far more appropriate because they are going to lose customers in the long run which would be a shame because they're lovely people. I strong suggest they dispense with the music since a restaurant is not meant to be a church! We do not normally bring our lunch and eat it during a church ceremony, do we?
Time and a place for everything!
God bless.
Tried a number of dishes and loved every single one of them. Highly recommended!
2 for dinner Vietnamese sp.... 2 for dinner
Vietnamese spring rolls, mango salad, basil chicken, Bangkok street pad Thai.
Nice little place, very clean, nice atmosphere, friendly service. Food tastes great.
Average price
Will definitely return.
Excellent!. The restaurant is tucked in a nice quiet location. When entering, the smell is amazing and the decor is classy. The servers are attentive and respond quickly.
The dishes purchased was the panang (peanut curry), the lamb shank curry, the chicken noodles, coconut ice cream and sticky rice and mango.
The panang was great with hints of peanut and subtle flavours. The lamb is tender and juicy. The chicken is good but I wish it was a bit better. The sticky rice is similar to a rice pudding and the mango is a bit green. The coconut ice cream is creamy and tastes great with a hint of coconut as an after taste.
Overall, I hight recommend the restaurant due to its chique and it's food. The servers are great and the overall experience is good.
I Love This Place. I stumbled in here because i was hungry with a friend and wanted to get some thai.
I never expected i would be walking into my new favourite restaurant. Waiter was so kind, My Smoothie was so full it was toppling over my glass and onto the table ( i didn't mind, the waiter apologized, i loved it ) food was all unique tasting and i really enjoyed myself.
Delicious!. Randomly walked in for a meal prior to catching a movie, and ended up falling in love with this place! The staff were kind, courteous and attentive. The food was soo delicious and didn't take too long to get to our table either! The waitress made excellent recommendations; this is my favourite place for bangkok pad thai. Definitely returning soon!!
I love Twin Fish. Their food is excellent and so are the staff.
Being a Christian I always join restaurants that support their faith. Restaurant is quaint & food delicious. Really enjoyed the eggplant dish. Menu has a good choice of food. Would only suggest they work on waiting staff. Went without water for ten minutes looking at menu - bit strange. Waiter was very shy as well - need an outgoing person for that role.
Very friendly and delicious. Tried a variety of items, each really good highly recommended :)
I am in love with the chicken green curry. I always get take out and it is always fast. They are also very accommodating to different requests. A bit pricey though.
Best Thai food ever. I'm always amazed at how amazing the curry fish is and the server sometimes gives us extra rice when we run out.
High Accolades. My boyfriend loves Thai food so for his birthday he discovered Twin Fish right here on Urbanspoon. The food was absolutely delicious, you can taste the quality and time they put into cooking each dish to authentic perfection, allowing you to dictate the level of spiciness. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled with the wide selection to choose from. The waiters were friendly and informative as to what each menu item entailed. They definitely made his birthday very special with their exceptional above and beyond service. If you love Thai food you will love Twin Fish.
Very Fresh food. 8 out of 10. Missing that "amazing dish" in my opinion, but everything they have is quite good. Service is fair and surprisingly indifferent - I feel it should be a bit more attentive based on the prices, which are reasonable at best. The christian tokens around the restaurant are fine - the christian music playing can be a bit annoying and overwhelming depending on the song. I'm sure my mom would love it - me, not so much.
Great Thai!. Great thai dishes! The food is delicious! The place is a little small and the waiting staff can't seem to handle the rush. Due to their location they are popular but it's often crowded if you go on a weekend. Hence, it's not very family friendly.
Best Thai Food!!. I'm always weary of going to the restaurants of friends because it puts in you in a pickle if the food isn't great. But Twin Fish is by far one of my fav places to eat Thai. The staff are always amazingly friendly and the food is always warm, fresh and authentic. The owners, Anne & Henry, definitely put their whole heart into that place!!
p.s. - the basil fish is AMAZING, definitely try!!
Great fish and curry!. Mango salad is very fresh and refreshing. Coconut shrimps - finger licking good. I ordered a thai tilapia with sweet and sour sauce - it is very good, large portion size. The vegetable green curry was a bit salty. Lamb curry was very tasty. Will come back again.
Finger Licking Delicious!. A colleague and myself ate at dinner time in September. We ordered Lamb curry & Curry Chicken Pad Thai. The lamb was like butter! so soft and full of flavour. The pad thai had the right amount of spice to enhance the other flavours, not over powering. We both agreed that we will definitely come back to enjoy some bowl-licking thai food! :+)
So good!. SUCH good food here! You can't go wrong with anything you pick.
The food at Twin Fish was absolutely delicious. We shared the chicken satay skewers, golden curry, Bangkok street style pad Thai, and regular pad Thai. The portions were great. Service was friendly. This is our new go-to restaurant for Thai food!
Awesome place to eat. Just decided to try it on a whim and we are glad we did! Peanut curry and chicken cashew were our favorite dishes. Great friendly service. Will come back again.
Quite Good!!!. For appetitizers, we ordered the cold roll due to the rave reviews on Urbanspoon website, but my kid hated it... I guess that only older people will like it due to its health because of raw vegetable stuffing Beef Cold rolls were better than others... Hubby ordered Red Snapper with basil sauce (spicy)... it was really good, but a bit oily as the snapper was fried with bread crumb coating... My kid had garlic shrimp and liked it... the coconut rice was tasty. I ordered Bangkok Street Pad thai... Loved it... a must try dish!!!
I had the Bangkok Styled Pad Thai with chicken, it was good! There was a lot of chicken in it as well! The staff were okay, nothing special. It was nice and quiet when I went at around 6pm on a Monday.
Can't wait to go back. Just like the reviews below... fantastic food with fantastic service at affordable prices
Stopped there for dinner last night and was very impressed! The quality of the food was very impressive. Prices are reasonable and the service was very friendly! I definately will be going back there again to try out other dishes!
The atmosphere was good, the food was good. The service was quick but I had to eat faster as my food kept on coming! Maybe they should wait before they bring out the next dish and make sure the customer is done with whatever they were having first. Over all it was good and would certainly go back again.
Certainly one of the best Thai places I've been to. My wife compared it to the Green Mango. Excellent food. Great place to do dinner and a show.
Excellent Thai Food. You will not get the authentic Thai experience here, but the food is great and seating is comfortable.
We ordered the beef skewers as our appetizer - rubbery/overcooked but great flavour. For our main course, the chicken pad thai and golden curry dishes were excellent. Our dessert, fried banana with honey, was also good.
I will go back here in the future.
Twin Fish ---- Yummy!. We had the Red Snapper with Basil (Mild). This was excellent. Also had the Garlic Chicken. Very good; especially wiith a touch of the Red Snapper/Basil sauce to give it a little extra kick. The avacado milk shake was excellent ... but why do SE Asian restaurant always run the blender in the same room as the dining ... so common, yet so noisy. The decor was great ... i give two thumbs up for the wall hangings! The restaurant is very clean and the staff polite. It could do with a small divider or potted plant in the middle of the room though, in order to make the tables/seating look less crowded. Definitely 5/5 stars!
Yummy Thai Dishes!. I just had what had to be one of the most yummiest thai dishes I've ever had at Twin Fish. It was their Ginger Beef on white rice. Sooo delicious! You have to try it. My mouth just starts watering every time I think of it. The flavours are amazing and its presentation is simply delightful. If you've never had thai before this would be a great dish to start with. Or even if you have had thai I highly doubt you've tasted such a flavourful dish:)
Amazing Thai Food. I highly recommend this great Thai Restaurant in Mississauga. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is very comfortable.
Must try the red snapper wig Thai basil sauce. Great Asian fusion restaurant!!
Excellent food and superior service... Recommended 100%
Most excellent. Great food presentation and atmosphere. The owners and wait staff are incredible. They check our dish selection to make sure the dishes compliment each other--have not seen that since living in Europe. Every dish we have ordered has been delicious. This is the place for Thai food.
Visited again last night for dinner, hadn't been in a while. Service was great ... Friendly, relaxed but attentive. Nice that they weren't trying to rush us out. Ordered street style pad they, massaman curry, cashew chicken. Fresh ingredients , good flavours but lacking depth. Asked for Thai spicy and it came just slightly hot. Very good, but not my favorite Thai restaurant.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. So here we are new to the area looking for a great place to dine on a Friday night. Scrolling through Urbanspoon looking specifically for Viet or Thai cuisine reviews we come across Twin Fish. The review is great and the price points are right so we give it the green light. When we get there we are curious to see how busy they might be...looks pretty empty inside though. Hmmm, we go in anyway and are we GLAD WE DID! We are immediately greeted by a courteous Asian woman who seats us and offers to hang our coats up. We sit down on the most comfortable booth type seats and immediately find ourselves impressed with the decor. Bright, clean and sophisticated!
The menu looks awesome having some of our fave dishes! A woman, who turns out to be the owners wife comes to the table and asks if we have any questions. We do but when she is unsure she offers to get her husband, who is also the chef to come and help us out. They both are amazing and genuinely wanted to satisfy our curiosities about the menu and our overall appetite.
We ended up ordering two dishes, the red curry chicken and a spicy noodle dish that we opted to have vegetarian styles. We were happy with our choices and even happier when our food arrived within five minutes of ordering it! The taste....outstanding. Authentic, Delicious Thai goodness!
The whole meal was standard setting, we talked more with the owners and discovered they were new to the area...only open for 4 months. After a great dining experience and some good conversation we paid up, left a hefty and deserving tip and vowed to be back often.
(I'm already looking forward to my next visit!) :)
We've been to Twin Fish a couple of times now and have found it to be quite excellent. Service is quick but not rushed and very attentive. The food was very well prepared with the freshest of ingredients. If you're a fan of JJ's (which we are) definitely give Twin Fish a try. It's a lighter take on Thai cuisine and less expensive too.
Man.... This is the real deal. Longer wait time than I'd like but it was well worth it.
Everything we ordered was delicious. The skewers (forgot the Thai name) need to be eaten while they're still hot for the best experience. Once they cool off the meat toughens up a bit. The Tom yum soup was spectacular in both flavor and the amount of seafood that was included. My only gripe was that the papaya salad was not spicy.
Lord don't get me started on the sticky rice and mango dessert. Legit just like I had it in Thailand a few years back. Not too sweet and just the right serving size to share with a loved one. Would 100% order two because I wouldn't want to share.
If we are ever in the Toronto area, this will be a stop that we will visit again. Well done.
Amazing Thai food. Really authentic, and one of the best Thai meals I’ve had outside of Thailand. We had a mix of spice tolerance in our group but can confirm that the food is very spicy if you want it to be. The vibe of the restaurant is nice as well with a lot of older Thai artwork and pop culture references.
Walk in line is extremely long so try and get a reservation in advance if you can.
Delicious and authentic pad Thai! The ambiance was really cool! Food was delicious (they have big plates). It was totally worth it. It was packed, but people were kind and it was incredible well organized. We signed up in the waiting list and went to the bar to have drinks first. Nice cocktails.
Reservations were full, but was able to get a walk-in table within 15 minutes! Came on a Thursday night and it was quite busy. They have a lineup outside to put you on the wait-list and check your vaccination status. Service was very good!
We ordered lots of appetizers and three entrees. The entrees weren't really it for me (someone in our party who has been here before did say that their food quality changed that night) but the apps were really great!! I especially recommend their grabong and moo ping. Their Thai iced tea is also great!
Overall, prices are a little pricier than other Thai places, but their food is great! Definitely a go-to if you're in the area.
Review for Vegetarians. Not your average Thai restaurant! The menu features Northern Thai specials with a few usual suspects like Pad Thai and Hot and Tom Yum soup. But for the most part, you will be amazed to know the other Thai dishes that exists!
They’ve tons of vegetarian options and the staff is willing to work with you to substitute any meat dishes with tofu.
Make reservations in advance on their website or be prepared to wait for 1 hour.
Pork Skewers, Beef Pad Thai and Fried Squash were all excellent!
Spicy P drink was great as well.
Showed up with no reservation and it took around 45 min to get a table.
Excellent service and atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place
9.5/10
Best Thai food I've had in a very long time. Besides the wait time. I feel it is very much worth it. All of the food is extremely flavorful and excellently seasoned. I highly recommend for anyone to come here!
It was full when we came but the waiting line was super easy. The bartender just attached our drinks while we were waiting and the crew was super friendly. If you want to eat Thai food and enjoy a nice atmosphere then this is the place.
Being from Sweden though, it really didn't feel like the usual Thai restaurant which I truly enjoyed
