Review Burrito Boyz - Mississauga

A K
Prime location. Yummy burritos. Finding the parking is bit difficult. I got my naked bowl burrito in less than two minutes after ordering!! Swift service eh 🙏😊🙌 Got the take out and enjoyed them sitting by the waters lol.

Burrito Boyz is a very small location and their burritos are quite large. The service is good and I think they are a weekly craving for locals. People can easily park at the library to walk over for lunch. Since, it is near the water there are other places to check out as well.

Would HIGHLY Recommend for Mexican! This location is the absolute BEST in the entire gta. We've eaten at many other locations and they're good too. But if you're looking for really amazing mexican...this is our most favorite. The location seems dingy and bad since it's smack next to a parking lot and just a few benches and stools to sit. We use it as take-out only or just eat in our car because we simply can't wait to get home.

Really disappointed with my last visit. The burrito was so tiny empty compared to other locations. I normally get full off one large burrito and this one was so empty I was still hungry and I am not a big eater. I definitely got ripped off! I don’t think I will bother returning if I am not getting my money’s worth.

Hit or miss - sometimes the food is tasty and fresh sometimes you get meat that is bland, stale or even cold. My brother got steak nachos at lunch so you would expect it to be fresh or at least warm, it was like cold rubber. The meat portions on average are smaller than the Dixie location near Eglinton which hardly ever disappoints.

This location is awful. Burrito was broken slop. How can they honestly see it's broken and serve it?! If you break it remake it! It clearly was not rolled properly. So upsetting to drive all the way home and see this. I legit had to eat this off a plate with a spoon like a cold soup. Zero taste as well. I will drive all the way tp Etobicoke next time for a better location.

Love getting my food here! Following protocols, very clean, and staff are friendly and on point with order. I tried calamari today and it was amazing! Ordered it through their site, got an update after few minutes and was able to enjoy my meal!

This is my go to location which is small and very popular place during peak times. Ordering ahead will save you time during the peak periods All ingredients are fresh and burritos are full of flavour and taste which will satisfy your hunger. Their own hot sauce has a great unique taste which is spicy and the staff are always friendly.
Dana Unninayar
Delicious! All of their food is fresh - you may even see staff chopping up tomatoes or making guacamole while you wait for your food! I usually go for the vegan burrito or the vegan burrito bowl (gluten free) with sweet potato and ground soy. Note - guacomole, salsa, and hot sauce are all vegan!
Dennis L
Disappointing every time I go. Flavourless food, and I got sick the last 2 times I ate there. First time I thought it was a coincidence 2nd time and I'll never go back. Service is good and the staff is friendly.
Sarah
Love the naked half sweet potato half chicken. Always friendly and efficient staff. Good size portions for a good price.
One of the better take out options in streetsville.

Nothing much to say just really solid food, fast and fresh, if your looking for classy, cloth napkin kind of place this aint it sister....
Just good burritos by folks that were doing it before it was the thing.

Burrito Boyz - the true Toronto Franchise. I remember walking into one of their first opened places in downtown Toronto, the lineup wrapped around the building and when you finally got your turn, the place was too tiny. The Burrito however, is the best I've ever had... and that small place is now opened all around the GTA, including two of them in the Mississauga area..

If you want to ever try a Burrito, check out the Burrito Boyz, you will be amazed.

I'm ADDICTED!. So so sooooo good! I have to have it at least once a week, it's just that good :)
G1aasdhir
Fantastic. I only eat out once a week, budget and diet. Anyways for the last few months my weekly meal has been from burrito boyz. Dundas and hwy 10., either chicken for bean &cheese burrito. Sometimes I get both, they are always filling great tasting and consistent. Would reccomend them to anyone who wants Mexican food
Aman
Best Burritos!. I have been coming to Burrito Boyz for years, usually the brampton location on Queen Street.
I love the way they make their burritos, they are not stingy with their toppings.
The prices are super cheap with a veggie buritto at just $5.97.
Also the best hot sauce ever! I do 2 lines of hot sauce and I am crying by the end of my burrito!
Do not underestimate it! Burrito boyz has become my addiction!

Always Fresh. Whenever I need a meal on the go I phone ahead and order a Haddock Burrito and it's ready when I get there. Always busy so you know it's fresh.

Good value - Great taste. Love this place. The staff are great, food is very tasty, and the place is quaintly quirky. Only draw back is parking can be a hassle but if you time your visit right the walk won't be too long. Definitely worth the walk in my opinion.
Raji Khan
Good food. The burritos are good but it would be nice if they didn't take forever!

Shae. Originally from Texas, I may not be an expert...but I know Mexican food and Tex Mex, and this is none of the above. Fajitas (Fa-hee-tas) are not Fajitas, thats some cooked meat with absolutely no taste wrapped in a foil sitting in the back which who knows when was cooked and I will take their word for it that it is beef or chicken, it is not cooked in front of you. I went around Lunch with my kids, the placed seemed busy but the whole staff was busy cleaning, and the girl that took my order was literally holding a broom as she took the order (the whole Gandalf thing, leaning on the broom and dirty clothes an all), then move over the line. Then regular, what do you want? slap everything on it with absolute ignorance, but they did have some jokes going amongst themselves which I guess were more important. Then the guy in the back on the griddle was cleaning (his station) and flipping Burritos with his hands? and my son asked me aren't his hands burning, so I said lets ask... I asked the girl at the counter (still with the broom) shouldn't he be wearing gloves? she peeked back and said (priceless moment) "oh..." and that all I heard, I asked this other guy who was also waiting for his food, whether he mind his food being man handled, and he was surprised as well, don't know what he was surprised about, he was standing there looking at all the action, anyway, I kindly asked for a refund and got the looks, and pardoned myself from the place ( I don't call it a restaurant, because it is not), not going bak there anytime soon, and Mexican food? I think not...

Burrito Boyz is doing it right. Stopped by, waited a little longer than expected in line, but hey it was downtown lunch hour -- told the girl to give me the cheapest most popular biggest burrito - received a chicken burrito with everything on it -- couldn't finish it, was amazing, guac and rice was outstanding
Rg416
Discusting. Its not authentic mexican. Not sure what it is. Slap everything together and you have wrap that is soaked in a sauces, potions, lotions. All the ingredients for a heart attack
ToRunner
Disappointed. Not sure what the hype is about. it was ok but expensive.
Aprilshower
Great takeout. Hubby and son love this place! The hot burrito is spicey! And if you go by weight, you are getting your moneys worth! The staff are pleasant and the choices are plentiful! I highly recommend it if you want good fast food ... although it's not that "fast" because it is such a popular place. There are usually large line ups & it takes a while to get your food! I would love it if they had more space to eat in, but on a nice day you can walk to the lake and enjoy your meal on a park bench.
Jackmc48
Junk food. Horrible to even call this food. Go to the frozen food section of your favorite market, purchase the froxen burrito, microwave, and maybe the dog will eat it. Same for the food here. No, don't feed it to the dog---cruelty to animals.
Cmm
I will NEVER eat here again. The last FOUR Times I've eaten here I've been disappointed. I kept giving them another chance thinking "maybe I just got a bad burrito" but the Adelaide burrito Boyz has been consistent in one thing - DISAPPOINTING!!! The last three times I have ordered a halibut burrito the fish has been tough, chewy and rubbery. I pulled the entire flank of fish out of my burrito from the top and it came out in ONE PIECE. You would think it would break or flake seeing as fish is flaky and somewhat tender. This was the THIRD time I got a piece of rubbery hard fish. I'm concerned they are reusing it or that it's day old cooked fish from days before. When you compare all the other great places and options in Toronto to eat...there are just way to many options to WASTE Your money here
Steve
The King of Filler !. Overpriced pseudo Burrito's. Stuffed with too much lettuce,, bland rice, green pepper and corn... WHERE'S THE MEAT???
Best to avoid. A rip-off.
Soup
Quality. A bit pricier than the average burrito, but great quality and awesome staff!
SillyD
Consistently Great!. These guys never seem to miss a beat...lots of gluten free options!
Sarah Bayani
It's just the best!
Ashleejack
Classic comfort food. Consistently delicious...although the friendliness of the staff varies.
love that the burritos are grilled but don't go if you are in a rush - unless you're visiting the Adelaide location in which case you can get the "express" option. steak or chicken with everything on it late night only.
SimplyMe
Ho Hum. Heard great things about Burrito Boyz so I gave this restaurant 2 visits, in case my first one was an off day. Nope. Perhaps it is because I order a burrito bowl so the ingredients are assembled in a bowl instead of in a tortilla - the lettuce was just not fresh, limp with no crunch, dull tomatoes. Perhaps these touches are camouflaged if eaten within a tortilla wrap, but the freshness is critical when in a naked bowl. I would not say it was terrible, just ho hum - far fresher ingredients at Chipotle and even at Chorizo.
Kid Icarus
A truly classy burrito joint. Look, if you want the best Mission-style burritos anywhere in the GTA, Burrito Boyz is where it's at and there's no question about that. They're open late, the service is great, the burritos are HUGE and delicious. But more than that, this is a business run right. As someone who knows that it's best to do so, I called ahead to place my order so as to avoid the lines that most customers usually have to endure. For the first time in all the times I've been going there they got my order wrong (they made me a quesadilla instead of a burrito). Not only did they rush my proper order our, they also gave me the quesadilla and a free drink. I didn't ask, I didn't really complain but that's just how they treat customers. This is a place that not only makes a mean burrito but also knows a thing or two about service. I would return regardless but something like this makes me write a very positive review....love the food, love the staff and love the fact that this is a place that puts the customer first.
Sand3r
As the title says. Best burrito in town. The quality is very consistent at all locations! Recommended!
Isabella Vida
Quality burritos!. I have to say it was worth the wait
Tiny
Yum!!. Great burritos but it's a nuisance you have to wait awhile for them to heat up/grill your burrito. Waits are sometimes long but call ahead if you know what you want and order over the phone for pick up.

Excellent burrito. I can see how this place can get packed, have long line-ups, etc. Good thing four of us showed up on a chilly winter Friday evening. After a few minutes, we actually managed to get three of the seven(?) available chairs inside. Everything was/is very fresh and delicious. I had a steak burrito that was truly steak (not marinated beef). Be careful if you like medium spice. Just four quick dabs of the "XXX" salsa verde in with the sour cream really cranked up the heat (and I had Duff's wings for lunch in Buffalo!). Unlike some places, you can be as scarce or generous with the toppings as you like. The taste was not "stereotypical Mexican" (Sonoran or Tex-Mex); the flavour of the ingredients came together nicely. Very good value, too. Bonus - my burrito did not fall apart as I ate it, unlike at most other burrito places. I'll make this a stop when I'm in the area and hungry.
Psycho Diner
Very Fresh, Probably the best burrito in the city, multiple locations.

What can I say!!!. When we first arrived in Mississauga and searching for a burrito place, this place came highly recommended. Even online review were amazing. And they were not wrong!!! This place is amazing. I never had a fish burrito and it was amazing. I thought Chipotle is good, but they are way better. And they don't even charge extra for guacamole. I am a repeat customer already.

This place is always hopping and you sometimes have to be patient with the line ups. By far this is one of the best burrito places around. I also attend there other locations in Streetsville and on Dundas.
Nikki
Great staff. Hard working staff, super nice, but the food isn't amazing.

Best burritos around. For under $10 you have a well balanced and satisfying meal. The chicken and steak ones are wonderful and if you're careful of the toppings, they can be very nutritious.
Fostizzle
Fantastic Vibe. Football sized burritos with a chilling atmosphere
Many great options; standard chicken and beef and some unique fish and veggie options

Only accepting cash sucks, they have a bank machine inside but, common already

Be prepared to wait as it is always busy ... But busy means fresh
CanadaCheeseMan
Damn Good Burritos. Tiny little place focused on doing one thing right - Burritos. Small and unassuming shop. The line is usually out the door at lunch and dinner. But 5 people in line results in "out the door". Fresh and relatively fast. I've tried 'em all, fish, shrimp, chicken and beef burritos. Shrimp is my favorite but they all are good. No room to eat inside. Two benches outside requiring balancing food on your lap. I've been here many times. They are consistent. I've tried other Burrito Boyz locations ... maybe it's me, but I swear, the Port Credit Burritos are better for reasons I can't explain. Be careful if you ask for hot ... they can do VERY hot if you want.
WE_ARE_138
Polite Enough Kids. It's not a bad chicken burrito - it's close to home which makes it attractive. But for the love of God, after a hard day's work, I hate having to shout my order over 120 decibels of Weezer's Blue Album. Turn the friggin' music down, kids!
Danielle
Great cheap date night!. I love the freshness of these made-to-order burritos! The cilantro is delicious as are the other fresh ingredients. I always get the small bean and cheese burrito which means that a small is just over $5.00. Be careful though because it's one of the only places that when I asked for "hot' I got what I asked for! We took ours down to the water across the street and enjoyed ours while laughing at everyone waiting to get into Snug Harbour to pay a fortune! It's hard to find a better value anywhere.

Delicious "fast food"- very fresh!. I grabbed a burrito the other day at burrito Boyz, this place is only a few blocks from my house but I have resisted going until now knowing that I would be addicted- and I am now. I hesitate to call this fast food because it's the opposite of what you picture fast food to be. They make everything fresh and it takes about 10 minutes to get your burrito after ordering. The place is small so if it's raining, bring an umbrella because you may have to wait outside! Everything was really fresh and tasted delicious. At a lot of burrito places, the guac is extra but not at burrito boys they treat it like a regular topping, which is great 'cause you have got to get guac! I ordered the small halibut buritto and my sister had the veg soy. The small is quite large, watch out!

I highly recommend Burrito Boyz if you are in Port Credit, you won't be disappointed.
Robert
Great burrito! Free drink on Tuesday night if you are a motorcyclist, which draws a number of bikers that night. Fun! Already been there a few times and I keep going back :)
Lilfergie1988
THE BEST!. THANK YOU
Quentin Budd
Great. Love this place. if its busy plan to sit outside or in your car.

this is a true take out place.

only good place to sit is by atm machine.

Good Service, Good Food.. The location and appearance put me off initially.
The food was amazing. Very filling, nicely cooked, and prepared for eating on the go if need be. The people were quick and friendly considering the never-ending line that usually filled the very small building. Enjoyed it immensely, even when I ordered a simple chicken burrito.
Will be visiting this place again.
Tendertarte
Worth the short wait. Prepared to be very full after eating their "small" burrito. A local resident recommended this burrito stand when my daughter and I first moved to the area. Now it's a regular place we visit. The toppings are fresh with copious variety. There's a choice of white or wheat burrito. The flat bread is stuffed with every imaginable "topping" for meat, poultry or vegetarian mains. I particularly enjoyed the steak burrito. Everything is then warmed on the grill and delivered hot in a wrapper and brown paper bag. The young staff enjoy their music loud and their work fast and efficient. Since we discovered them, we've found other stands popping up in Long Branch and along the Queensway east of Kipling. We're happy to recommend a satisfying meal in a flat bread!

Compared with price, it's ok

Large Hali on White.. The only Halibut anything i'll ever eat.
Missimiss
Awesome Tacos. Tried the tacos here - they were awesome - strongly recommended
Good Eats
Enjoyed the small chicken burrito, gluten free style with no tortilla. Still tasted amazing cause everything is so fresh. Loved the spices especially that special spicy mayo. The only thing I didn't like was that the chicken was pre made, making it faster to get my order, but would have prefferred to see my chicken made in front of me.
Spicy Paprika
Awesome burritos. The toppings are fresh every time, and the spice level is perfectly tailored to you . The only drawback is the lineup! It's always crowded!
Nancy Grey
Eat here. When i asked 4 the spice they really gave me spice! and at almost every other place they give the smallest bit of spice
Emma1980
The best burrito I have ever had... I wish there was one closer to my home! I live in Richmond Hill!! It's sooooo worth the drive.. the best thing is that it's open concept. you can see how they make it..... fresh ingredients... just amazing!!! great job!!! will see you soon
Andrew
I tried burrito boys and it wasn't worth it at all, the meat tasted chewey and just no flavor...very dissapointed..
Steven Soukas
It was big with lots of fresh toppings. But I was not impressed with the quality of the meat. I ordered steak and it was more like mush.
Harmony
I have only had a friend bring mr a burrito take out style, but I have to say it was so delicious and I used to live in the US and I missed the TexMex, this place sure does the trick! Ty Burrito Boyz u killed it.
Mr. Sauga
Cheap and delicious. My only advice is that if you go there then order a "small" size because the small is actually more like a regular/medium sized burrito - good value.
George
Cheap Eats. This place is just that cheap eats that is much better than normal junk food.

As for flavour and taste nothing to go out of your way for. The taste is not very authentic and is very much adapted to Canadian tastes. This place is vibrant, busy however not very authentic. There are much better burrito places around however they don't fit into this price range.
Ramin
Burrito boyz review. This place is always full so finding a seat can be a problem. the food is delicious and filling. great place to go when u are looking for a simple fast yet fulfilling meal.
7/10
ramin mouradipour

AMAZING

Awsome!. Living half a block away I've become a regular. Great food for the price! I recommend calling ahead to avoid the crowd, and watch out for the hot sauce. Hottest thin I have ever had. I love it!
Susan
Very good value. They are messy but tasty and I like the fact that they have fresh cilantro. The line-up's indicate that this is a local fave. Good to support a local place versus a big chain.
Nolan Machan
Great food, fresh and fast. Don't expect to eat in so u'll need a place to sit, and bring lots of napkins.
Valeria Molnar
Love it! So filling and fresh!
Stephania
More atmosphere than authenticity.. Since it's the nearest burrito place, I've been here a handful of times. There is almost always a line-up outside the doors!

Food-wise, I wasn't too impressed the last time I ordered a chicken burrito as MINCED chicken was used! A total no-no.

I think since there aren't that many Mexican/burrito places 'round, they can get away with using sub-par ingredients such as opposed to shredded chicken.

It tastes fine, but I definitely think that being near the lake, especially on a Summer's night, Burrito Boy has cornered the burrito market!
Bill Stepec
Great!. This place is cash-only, which certainly is not a plus.

That said, the burritos are simply delicious. A seriously big meal for under $8. Always busy. Staff is young but always friendly. Open fairly late. Definitely give it a try.
Romar Aguilera
Awesome - for the price you get a really tasty burrito.
Boop
Meh. Cant for the life of me understand the hype, first off its not AUTHENTIC Mexican food, its a mission style burrito from California, second its not that great, always seems to have a burnt smell/taste to it. And maybe im just getting older but standing in line for 20 minutes listening to a bunch of teenagers talk about how wasted so and so was last night isn't really worth it.
LiLy Lee
One word, AWESOME. if you haven't tried it yet? You are missing out. Cheap and great food that fills you up. May get crowded sometimes but worth the wait!!!
John Cosentini
This is a great place to go for that Mexican craving. Prices are great and the portion will fill you up quickly. Got to love the scence of humor from the cooks. Thumbs up for this Burrito Stop
Leah
Excellent food! Great portions, good price! I go out of my way to go there.
Jordyn
I love burrito boys I recomend this restaurant to those who enjoy ethnic food as much as I do and for those who want something new. Burrito boys has definatly become one of my favorite restaurants and they have something for everyone. =>

Burritos don't get any better than this! If you haven't tried it yet, make it a priority, you won't be dissapointed.
Brian Chou
Burrito Boys. Always good, where are the Mexican restaurants??? This is one that satiates anyones cravings.
Signsden
Great burrito! And so big too. Try it.

Honestly it is the best thing to happen to fast GOOD food since subway it's a full meal that is not as bad as A LOT things you could be eatting really really good food at a wicked price me n my girls love it n there are a few people at port credit one that make it better then e one ;)
BiteMe
Nelson @ Port Credit: I knew there was one all the way out here, but I underestimated how far it was. I picked this up to bring to Kitty's work when she was working late. I enjoy watching them build the burrito right in front of you and how they generously heap the fresh toppings on. I had the large whole wheat steak and Kitty had a small whole wheat Haddock. As I've said before, the fish tacos are excellent. I've also confirmed that the one out here is just as good as the downtown ones (and at the exact same price). But now I know that there is one near Square One, which is so close to where I live now. I'll have to try that for dinner one of these days.
