Located in a cosy neighbourhood closer to Dundas and Mississauga Road. Hands down the best fine dining Italian restaurant in sauga. Risotto and Lobster Fettuccine were incredible. Service steals the deal.
Went to Piatto for lunch. Good place. I had the calamari and veal Marsala. Both were very good and service was good. I wasn't blown away with the food but to be fair I am not a big Italian food fan.
My pasta was a bit overcooked but very flavourful. Service was excellent, the staff know their menu and want to make their patrons happy. Cozy environment. My dessert wasn't very good.
We had our office Xmas party here. The service was excellent, staff were helpful & engaging. Food delicious. We all had a very enjoyable evening & agreed that Piatto is a great restaurant.
What A Great Place!. We have driven by Piatto many times and decided to finally give it a try. We arrived on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was starting to fill up. We asked if we could still sit down to have a meal despite not having any reservations. The host was kind enough to seat us in a nice room at the side with a great view. The restaurant itself is very elegant, lots of light, decorative pieces, and great table decor! We were served by a server named Michele. He was very nice, friendly, and funny! We instantly felt comfortable with his light humour and friendly smile. We ordered the Calamari Fritti to start. They were probably the best calamari I have ever had! Crunchy yet tasty! The sauce that it came with was great, although I would have loved more since it tasted so good! We then ordered our main meals, which was the gnocchi. The gnocchi were amazing! Especially the one with the white cream sauce, it tasted creamy and fresh. I loved it! The gnocchi were nice and soft, with great texture, just the way gnocchi should be. We then ordered the Baked Goat Cheese Salad. The goat cheese was baked with a hot tomato, along with a salad and raspberry dressing on the side. The goat cheese was amazing, especially since it was hot, it melted in my mouth. Last but not least, the Tiramisu. To be honest, the Tiramisu was OK, it wasn't the best I have ever had, it didn't have as much liquor or espresso as I would have hoped. Overall, the meal was excellent, the service was great (thank you Michele!) and the atmosphere was superb. Will definitely be back to this place!
Fabulous!!!. Fabulous meals and ambience! The veal was divine.
Don't be intimidated!. As a lifelong resident of Mississauga, I have NEVER been to Piatto...'til yesterday. Always driving past it, I guess I just dismissed it as a place for "stuffy, old, White people". Yes, I suppose I was the only visible minority in there tonight, but it was anything but stuffy! ;)
We were greeted at the door, my chair was pulled out, and welcomed by a friendly waiter. All good signs and quite contrary to what I expected.
There was a board with specials listed, but we decided to forgo and order off the menu. (Waiter was also nice enough to explain some specials.) We shared the baked goat cheese (app), my partner got the gnocchi, I had the paella, and we ended with a chocolate espresso paté.
The goat cheese was delicious with a raspberry sauce. My paella was piping hot, very tasty, and didn't appear to lack in seafood such as shrimps, calamari, sausage, etc. YUMMM.
Overall, I regret that I didn't try Piatto earlier! It was a classy, fine dining experience without the noses in the air.
Fantastic food! Osso bucco with rice with mushrooms was great. Very hands-on manager and great service as well. Will be back soon!!
Delicious gourmet food @ reasonable prices. Lovely atmosphere & outstanding service.
Good but.... Very good food - they have great veal in particular. The wait staff are also very good - many have been there for years. However two issues: 1) they need to change up the menu more often - even the specials are on too long and (2) the decor - it's very outdated - it needs a make over.
However the food is good.
Fantastic Service. Great food, reasonably priced for the quality of food you're receiving, knowledgeable waiters. I will go back again.
A fantastic lunch coupled with impeccable service made our day. We ordered an arugula salad with pear and stilton cheese; sauteed veal liver topped with a sherry sauce, accompanied with potatoes and steamed vegetables; a veal cannelloni; and profiteroles with ice cream and a hot chocolate sauce, complete with an espresso. The menu is lean which is often an early sign of a good restaurant. Everything was well-priced. Service was outstanding and we were taken care of from the moment we arrived to when we departed. Thank you to the staff for a great experience, delicious suggestions, perfect wine pairing, and a smile throughout. Italian class all the way!
I LOVE YOU PIATTO! Outstanding service even during a rush on one of the busiest days for restaurants. Simple yet rustic and absolutely fantastic quality food. Seasoned well, hot, served quickly and with care. Oh Madon' 🤌 (You guys hiring? 😃)
Food was simple, but amazing! They pay attention to details that matter, like a little bit of butter on the pasta. Service was great as well.
An exquisite dining experience after 2 years of CoVid hibernation. So good to return to culinary excellence. Such a treat !!
Food, service, ambient all were awesome. My toddler even liked the food.
The friendliest service I have ever had in my life. No other place even comes close. From the moment we entered to when we left, the staff were incredibly sweet. They really pay attention and take care of each and every table. The interaction was almost like a family environment.
The food was delicious, especially the baked goar cheese, and the tiramisu. Would highly recommend.
