Review Royal Garden - Milton

First time trying this place, Since it’s recently new I find that this food is very delicious and very authentic and very real this is not a paid or forced review I’m just being honest and I think everything’s delicious and I will show a picture of how recommended this place is and it’s you know what the food is good it’s worth trying if you’re afraid to try new things then you wont know but this is very recommended this restaurant is worth it. I had takeout and my family and I ordered in and the dumplings were juicy and mouthwatering and made tight and chewy and the red chicken, chicken was crunchy and tender and the shrimp reminds me of any delicious Chinese fried shrimp almost like childhood so come down and enjoy! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Amazing Hakka. Very good Quantity. Their chowmein isnt very spocy so you need to request it to be spicy if you are looking for it. Overall amazing food ♥️

Unfortunately my friends and I had a negative experience. We ordered food from the restaurant for a party, majority of us got food poisoning. 2 friends went to the ER. My friend called the restaurant however they have refused to take responsibility. The food tasted decent but at the cost of food poisoning. Thats not worth it in my books. I recommend the restaurant review their quality control and take steps to making the matter right.

Been ordering from this place for many years. It was my go to place for hakka. Recently I found the quality has gone down significantly. Quantity reduced to about half and significant price increase. Chicken in the sweet and sour was hard and smelt like stale oil. Fish pakoras were ball of dough. I understand everything has gone expensive, but you cant increase price, reduce quantity and quality. Never ordering from this place again

Food was great and so was the quantity. Just wish they had a better system in place when you go to pick up the food. Owner is a great person and very helpful. 👍

I been ordering here since they have opened... and many times food was not on par, and I never complained, today food was absolutely horrible. I called and got a operator who told me I was calling to get free food. Good luck...never again will I order and never will my colleagues and friends

Food is amazing, and fresh. Lots of variety. I have come here for years and it has always been my favourite.

If I could give it a ZERO star, I would. We ordered food from Royal Garden and half of the food did not taste fresh at ALL. The meat was hard and wasnt even chewable for the chicken pakoras and crispy beef. After consuming their food a lot of my friends and I had a horrible case of food poisoning, with 2 of us ending up in the ER. One of my friends was even pregnant and was suffering from really bad food poisoning after eating from Royal Garden. A baby was sick as well. What is even more frustrating is that when we complained to the owner, instead of taking ownership or showing good customer service, they instead demanded proof that we are sick and told us to call a Health Inspector (which we did by the way). I will never be buying from them again. I highly recommend the restaurant to take ownership and do better with their hygiene & quality control so that no one suffers from such a horrible cade of food poisoning.

The food tastes is delicious and consistent The quantity served too is quite large Its one of my favourite places to eat

By far one of the best Hakka place in GTA. Loved this place no need to book reservation just show up and get dine in. Food was on fire. Gets busy but the service moves fast.

Love this place. This was our first time in this place and we really enjoyed the food. This is one of the best hakka place I have ever been in GTA. Thank you for serving us delicious food.

Their appetizers are delicious specially lollypop chicken and deep fried spicy tiger prawns. Overall we really enjoyed the food. Reasonably priced and good quantity. We will definitely be coming again.

Great local Hakka food. Their chilli chicken is fantastic. Hakka chow mein is decent. Hot and sour is hit or miss. It can be amazing, or it can be mediocre. Service is always good.

They completely take advantage of being amongst the few ones in the community serving halal Chinese cuisine. <br/>Food quality was extremely poor except for the chicken corn soup (for which you do have to adjust the salt and pepper) Customer service is altogether another story- I have never come across staff who's unprofessional, rude and actually insulting on so many levels. It was such a pathetic experience- I'm still surprised how they are still in the market! Also, I am wondering how they managed to get good reviews!

Below average food quality, poor service, ignorant and rude staff including the main cook and in charge. They know nothing about customer service and say on your face that they don't care. Not worth the price at all. If you don't like to serve people with respect, you are in the wrong business. Taking advantage of being one of the only one in the town serving Halal Chinese food and thats it.

This place has decent Hakka food, large portion sizes and a good value for your money.<br/>LOVE: Their Spicy Garlic Shrimp is really amazing! The shrimp are huge - almost equivalent to prawns - and the gravy is delicious! Their Hakka noodles and Chilli Chicken are equally yummy as well.<br/><br/>CAN IMPROVE: The Chicken Pakora was a real disappointment - it didn't look or taste 'Hakka-like' -  it was more an Indian pakora flavour. Their Kung Pao chicken was a big NO - it had slivers of chicken which seemed like they were boiled and then basted in soy sauce with no prominent flavour.

Ordered take out for NYE. We ordered the beef and broccoli, Hakka chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice and general Tao chicken. It was absolutely delicious!

I had Manchurian chicken and that was probably the worst I had in my life, no salt and spices, plain horrible, had to dip it in in hot sauce to finish it. Will never go back there, hot and sour soup was OK, not the best I had but eatable.

We were in a mood to have Hot n Sour soup and thought of a Haqqa Chinese @ 7:30pm, went straight to Royal Garden. Not a bad place and reasonably priced. We ordered two medium size bowls for a family of five with three kids. Took large chicken lollypop as an appetizer. Trust me that was good enough and don't feel like having anything after.

I first went to this place about 2 months back The food was decent So went against this time was really bad food The meat seemed boiled not stir fried The flavours were missing The food was absolutely salt less Nd pathetic <br/>Spoke to the owner lady her attitude was worse than the food She said if others are eating the food so can u <br/>Horrible food attitude Never going there again

2nd visit 3rd Feb 2016 ..... Disappointing experience very rude waitress when we complained food is without salt she said every one else in restaurant is being served same food but no one complained .also said chef is my husband ... We just wanted them to recoil with some salt as beef was raw ... Very bad food and service was disgusting !!<br/><br/>First visit Oct 25 2016 It was raining heavily and we were in this market looking for some grub and found this beautiful place in the corner . We stepped in and looked at the menu . The lunch special looked good and we ordered it contains , an egg hot n sour soup with 2 rolls and chilli meat with jasmine rice .<br/>The flavours n taste of the food was good.

This is now one of my favourite place to eat hakka. Excellent food and excellent service. I would definitely recommend this place if someone likes hakka food.

Bad food and terrible service. It was around 7 pm when my family and I walked in. We were seated and that's when things went down hill. We got a jug of water and my son's glass was dirty. We waited and waited for the waitress to come. Meanwhile we noticed table father table being seated AND being served. We didn't know what was going on. I ordered breaded shrimps and chicken wings. Chicken wings were raw and shrimp tasted like it was 100 years old. My kids and I waited and waited and waited. We got our food 1.5 hours after we got there. It tasted terrible and we threw it all out after we left. I mean I pulled over to a trash can and threw it out. It was the worst food and service. DO NOT GO THERE,

My favourite Hakka restaurant. We got the two dinner special combos for $21.47. we got the thai chilli chicken, manchurian chicken, 4 veg spring rolls, two soups (hot and sour ) with jasmine rice. Food was really amazing and they were all fresh. I will be back again to royal garden to try other stuffs. keep it up!!

Love this place.. One of the best places I have seen good food and good price.

Awesome food and service. Me and my friends visited this place for lunch on a Tuesday.We were group of 10 people. We had made a reservation. They had assembled table for 10 of us. We ordered lunch special, regular price for a combo is $7.50 and a upgrade to egg fried rice was a dollar extra. We ordered basil mango chicken, chilly paneer, pad thai noodle, butter chicken and vegetable hakka noodle ( which comes with two vegetable rolls, soup and mango salad.). Everything was right on time and food was delicious. We highly enjoyed our visit to this place.<br/>The service was great.<br/><br/>I'd definitely recommend visiting for lunch.

Friendly staff. I like this place although I have not tried all of their dishes. The staff are friendly and always accommodating. This is not fine dining and the atmosphere is dated but it is comfortable enough.<br/><br/>I have been to a few places serving Hakka Chinese and this restaurant is right in the middle in terms of food quality. The Cantonese Chow Mein noodles are slightly crispy when hot which makes this a little different from the usual Chinese fare. The chilli chicken is very good but the chilli beef sort of misses the mark in my books.<br/><br/>I think I need some more time with the menu but it would be worth a try.<br/><br/>Give this place a try if you are in the neighbourhood and are in the mood for Hakka. Some reviewers are hard on this place but the service is good and the food is decent enough for the price.

Not Good. Initially when it started it was good. But our last two visits were very bad. The food was raw and smelly. The owner of the restaurant is not a pleasant person to speak to at all. He would lie in your face. Stay away from this place

Horrible Service - turns out to be the OWNER!. I recommend anyone to think twice about coming here. First off, Service is HORRIBLE! I called and told the lady on the phone I would like Hakka Chow Mein and I could not pick up the order and sent my father. She wrote the name incorrect after she asked me 3 times for my name. After the order comes home it was wrong. I call back and she argues with me saying I did not say "hakka" but I only said Chow Mein and hangs up. I call back again and ask to speak to the OWNER, Turns out she was the one who was arguing with me all along. I urged her to give the phone to the owner she refuses to come to the phone. No sorry, No Nothing. ALL RUDENESS!

So so !. If you are craving Hakka and don't want to leave Milton, this is it ! <br/><br/>If you can drive a bit ... try places in Mississauga that will offer better quality food.<br/><br/>I would not rate this restaurant as bad or great ... it's mediocre and priced reasonably.

Awesome. We have heard about this place for a long time and we went there today. it was really good food and courteous customer service.

Disappointing. I understand it was busy and we had to line up,ordered soup and it wasn't available..ok ..didn't even get water served..had to say food was good but they need big time help with management;(

Worth it.. I was here for lunch the other day - pretty good value, $7.90 including tax. I got small soup (egg hot and sour ), 2 veggie spring rolls, thai mango salad and a main course. I ordered thai green curry chicken as my main course. For the price I paid it was really worth. I would definitely go back. Service was also good.o

Delicious food great quantity. I love Hakka Chinese food, I have been to Royal Garden many times. I love their food and the quantity they offer. Overall they have great food and great customer service. Will be returning back soon.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Incorrect prices on the menu online and they have zero professionalism of honouring it.

Very Disappointing. I have to say I have been to many Chinese and Thai restaurants and Royal Garden was really disappointing. We ordered a few dishes for take-out and they were sub-satisfactory. We actually ended up throwing all the food out. I am an advocate of supporting local cuisine but I will not be returning to Royal Garden.

Great Food, Right Price. This is the best Hakka food servicing restaurant in Peel and Halton regions. We used to love Eddie''s Wok and Royal Jasmine in Mississauga but since we started going to Royal Garden, we stopped going anywhere else.<br/><br/>We don't dine in the restaurant because the ambiance is lousy. Also, they don't serve alcohol, I don't understand why.

Delicious!!!. Each year on New Year's eve, my hubby and I select a restaurant and order in. This year, we really wanted Hakka Chinese but the place close to us was closed on Monday. We searched the web for something close to Oakville and came across Royal Garden...about 15 minutes north on Highway 25.<br/><br/>Neither of us had heard of this place and there was no website to be found. The menu I located seemed ok, but no pics and I was a little hesitant. We decided to try it anyways.<br/><br/>We placed our order for a 5:30 pickup. It was right on time and the car ride home was unbearable...I was starving and the food smelled incredible! It was all I could do to rip open the containers and go to town right then and there.<br/><br/>We ordered a lot of food...knowing we'd have leftovers. This is what we got for $71-<br/>- 1 small chicken hot and sour soup<br/>- 1 deep fried spicy cauliflower (app but full container)<br/>- 1 chicken manchurian fried rice<br/>- 1 chili chicken (my personal fav)<br/>- 1 thai chili chicken<br/>- 1 shrimp hakka chowmein<br/>- 1 sweet/sour manchurian beef<br/>- 1 house singapore noodle (chicken & shrimp)<br/>- 1 steamed plain rice (included free with order)<br/><br/>Let me say this: it was all DELICIOUS!!! The menu online differs from the menu that we picked up when we were there...there is a Vegetarian section not included online and also some 'family deals' (like $39.99 for 1 medium soup, 8 pcs chicken wings or 8 pcs veg spring rolls + any 4 main dishes, or upsize for 6 people for $55.99), which we'll probably go with next time. One thing to keep in mind though is that the food is PACKED into these containers...not sure how the lids went on...after 4 portions have been taken, there still doesn't even seem to be a dent in some of these dishes so we may have ordered too much, but I'm not complaining.<br/><br/>The food is flavourful and cooked to perfection. I've always been a Faley's girl (Islington Ave) but Royal Garden really exceeded my expectations! I am always a little worried about eating out since I have IBS, and I was surprised to see how not greasy it was! I had no issues at all and have just polished off a second plate full for lunch today. Now just can't wait for dinnertime to come so I can have some more.<br/><br/>We will be repeat customers of Royal Garden and I would happily recommend this fine restaurant to anyone. Service was great, staff was so pleasant and the food was awesome...what more can you ask for?

Average at best. Too much salt in all the dishes except Hakkah chow mein noodles.
