Review Bistro On Main - Milton

A nice cute spot for a sandwich with a friend! I tried their vegetable wrap and it was okay. I would like to see more options on their menu. The fries were so yummy😍 If they offered poutine I would definitely try them again.

Arrived an hour before closing on a Saturday evening and we were the only customers, somewhat surprising but sowhat 😉. GF ordered the rib steak and frites and I had bistro beef dip. Great value for the money on both counts. Would most definitely return. We'll run establishment with very capable staff.

Last week My 3 friends and I all had different meals but each praised their choice and gobbled their meal. My friend and I ordered smoked chicken and Thanksgiving sandwiches. We shared our choices. Honestly, I cannot say which was more delicious. Both were exceptionally tasty. I'm already coming back next week with a different group of friends! What a treasure of a find!!

I came with some friends, place was full. Service is good. Food is good too. The soup was my favourite part of my lunch.

Terrific beef sandwich and awesome sweet potato fries. My friend was happy that they had gluten free bread so she could enjoy a sandwich as well! A very pleasant and knowledgeable server. Looking forward to going back soon.

Great food, freshly prepped. Had a harvest salad, small size, and it was massive. Great portions and flavours for the price point. Sometimes getting a table can be a challenge.

Came across this spot for a lunch break and
will definitely revisit. Sandwiches were delicious, but we felt the tomato bisque was a little bland . Service was good too :)

Nice little spot in Old Milton. Stopped for lunch on a Saturday. Had Philly Steak Sandwich with Squash Soup. Both tasted great. Dining partner had Greek Salad with Blackened Salmon, also tasted great. Would definitely come back again

Went here before the theater with friends because I know we would be in and out in good time.
Atmosphere- There is a casual sitting area near the window for anyone wanting to mingle and enjoy a coffee in comfort. The rest of the tabes have comfortable seats with bench seats along the wall. The counter at the back is where you place your order.
Food- This is why we come back again and again. Meals included 1) butternut squash- absolutely wonderful and the brie, candied pecan, poached pear, spiniach sald- My friend had this the last time we were here and she couldn't wait to order it again. She wasn't disappointed. It really is one of the best salads I have ever had anywhere. 2) chicken caesar wrap (meh) and the butternut squash- "outstanding" 3) seafood crepes ( full of shrimp, scallops, calimari, with an cream sauce) fantastic and fruit salad- not fruit cocktail but freshly cut up fruit. 4) plilly steak sandwich with swiss and cheddar cheese ( lots of cheese and meat was moist with a nice flavour) and fries- "nothing special". 5) I had the crab salad on toast ( 3 large lumps of full of real crab salad with a light nice taste on smallish pieces of toast) with roasted red pepper and tomato bisque.- good but I tried the butternut squash soup and I will rder that again( with the crab salad lumps- they were that good. We all shared apple cheddar crepes for dessert- I highly recommend them.
Service- Girl who took our order and served us ur dishes was non descript. There is a water station where you serve yourself- I love that! Just take a craft of water to the table. I will definately be back.

On the plus side, the food tasted good. Also, we were there with friends, so I got to take a couple of extra photos. :)

On the negative side:: There is no table service, and it is not obvious that that there is no table service. After sitting for a few minutes and realizing no one is coming to the table, then when you place your order at the counter and pay in advance, the payment machine prompts for a tip. For me no service = no tip.

I had one of their Brunch Classics: Smoked Salmon Eggs Florentine. Two poached eggs with the advertised ingredients, but no sides. To be fair, the menu did not specify any sides. I guess for $9 I should not have expected any more.

But the food tasted good.

A little gem worth sharing with friends.... While looking for an economical and convenient place between Guelph and Toronto, to get together with an old friend and catch up, I stumbled on this delightful little bistro on Milton's old Main Street. Five minutes south of the 401, with an interesting and varied menu, great selection of coffee and tea, warm ambiance, smiling and attentive service, and excellent value - this place has it all. Five stars out of five, and I'll definitely be back!

Happy Surprise. Had lunch for the first time ever on Saturday after the Farmers Market and all I can say is I was pleasantly surprised by this place! I can't believe I've lived here for 6 years and this was my first visit. Atmosphere was great, love the relaxed feel, and the food was incredible! I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu! Great place!

The Bistro on Main was a delightful find. I went with my family after driving around Milton trying to find somewhere to eat dinner. The food was moderately priced and was very good. I liked the relaxed vibe of the restuarant and it was very cozy.

I will say that the menu choices were limited, but they were different from what you would expect to eat at a bistro.

I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxed and cozy meal.

Nice little place for weekend brunch. Friendly staff. Had the duck Benedict which was delicious.

Average but good. I can't say I'd call home about this place... but the food was good. Fresh lemonade was nice (although a bit pricey). There was nothing really extraordinary about this place... just a good lunch place to eat but you might save yourself a few bucks going someone else for an average experience.

I can't believe I didn't know about this place. Milton needs more places like this, and less restaurant chains! Unique, delicious, quality food. A real gem!

This place is one of Miltons few gems. I had a bacon avocado tomato sandwich with butternut squash soup and a coffee and it was under $15 tip included. Everything was delicious, and as somewhat of a coffee snob, the coffee was excellent as well.

Food was amazing as always. Owner and staff are quite friendly. Manager is very good looking and promotes restaurant. Creeps an salads are delicious.

Rich & Savoury!!!. My first dinner crepe ever and it was ABSOLUTELY to die for! I had the Seafood Medley...rich, savoury and so fresh. I was worried that a crepe may not be enough for food, but it was just right. It came with fresh fruit to finish off my meal. The chef/owner is so friendly and makes everything from scratch. I would DEFINITELY recommend The Bistro on Main to anyone I know.

The food is excellent, friendly staff even the chef comes and talk to the customers to make sure the food was good.

Terrible service, undercooked chicken and dirty glasses

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. The Thanksgiving turkey grilled sandwich was out of this world! Will definately go back.
