Review The Bombay Grill - Milton

Emma Potts
This is truly the only 5 star restaurant I’ve ever eaten from, it is by far my favourite restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh, spicy and the portions are huge for a good price. I always get the shrimp vindaloo with rice and garlic naan and it’s perfect everytime. Huge pieces of shrimp and potato and the perfect amount of spice. I dip the rice and naan in the vindaloo sauce and it’s perfect. 100% would recommend.

We order delivery from Bombay Grill regularly; the food is consistently incredible – the flavours are delicious with generous portions, and it’s always super fresh. The people who run this restaurant are also remarkably kind and thoughtful. This is the type of restaurant we love to support because they go above and beyond to provide great food and excellent customer service.

Great food but very expensive. My pic shows you what $30 gets you. **Edit** owner was concerned and reached out to me. It shows me they care and it reflects on the quality of their food.

Once again another fantastic meal that we had from Bombay Grill. Jay and his team never disappoint and quite frankly always surprise with their over and above positive and courteous customer service. I definitely recommend ordering and enjoying every bit of the food at Bombay Grill. Thanks

Every time I crave Indian food, this is my go to place! From the moment I walk in to collect my order, my mouth instantly waters from the delicious smell of spices. The staff and owners are also so welcoming and kind. Recently, I got the butter chicken lunch special, and was left so satisfied and full from my meal! It came with the butter chicken I had ordered, perfectly cooked with the perfect amount of sauce, delicious vegetables, as well as a crispy vegetable samosa, rice and naan. I love how they are not stingy with the food they give you, i had lots of pieces of chicken in the butter chicken I had ordered, the naan was big, and I had plenty left over to eat with the butter chicken sauce, and the samosa was also the perfect size. Craving for some more of their food just from writing this review!

So many delicious options (vegetarian and vegan as well)! We got vegetarian samosas and kofta labaddar and we are excited to come again to try more options. Reasonably priced as well. The owner and the servers are very kind. Beautiful bright decor! A hidden Milton gem for Indian cuisine lovers 😋

Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Manchurian , Reshmi kabab, Naans, salty lassi thru Uber eats. Out of these, first two were delicious with good proportions, Reshmi kabab was not soft enough and upto the mark.. neither was this lassi..its packaging was also not secure.. ( silver foil was just placed on it). Was little pricey.

Usually I take risks trying different kinds of food that I never tried, However i have been very consistent with Bombay grill I always get the butter chicken with rice or/and Nan and some Samosas on the side. EXCELLENT quality, taste is always good, portions are exactly what You expect and the prices are very reasonable.

Not only do they have the best Indian/East Asian cuisine in town, they have SPECTACULAR service. The owner treats me and my boyfriend Jeff like family. We get take out very regularly there and have never been disappointed. No one will ever beat their sheer generosity and hospitality. I recommend the Chana masala (for vegetarians) and my boyfriend loves the butter chicken. Visit if you have a chance, you will not be disappointed!

My 1st visit this place was in 2013 and it was not good at all but I was there recent and have noticed implacable change from its interior to service and food quality, will definitely visit again..

Excellent Indian food and friendly service. We do a takeout mostly every weekend and it's always delicious food. Don't know much about the non-vegetarian meals, but the veg malai kofta and karahi paneer is never to miss...

Others Plate food will be served on your table. We use to eat a lot from Bombay Grill, till we recent worst experience. We ordered a dish and they served it to another Table( whites) and as it was spicy, they went to them and said we can take it back even after the family said are you sure. They took that back and within a minute they bought the same dish on our table. As it was a Sizzler we could see that when they bought it to our table and then we asked them and they said its not the same one. Then I asked them again as it is a sizzler it should have that sound till its there on our table, and then that guys face looked nervous and I stated telling him that we lost the trust as you lied and served the used food, and still he was only concerned about the whites if they are listening to me or not. And at the last he said what do you want now. I was shocked at that as he did not even said sorry or said that it wont be repeated again. that's a horrible experience we had when we had some other people with us. They even did not come to ask if we need water or anything. They would not even bother about this Review. And we don't even know now what they will be serving from the kitchen, if that a left over food or the food which fell down or had some bug.We have totally boycott BOMBAY GRILL and would not recommend it to anyone. Worst restaurant.

Delicious!. I had come here for lunch on a Friday afternoon at around 1:30 pm. It was quite difficult to find as the sign was not too visible from the street however, I was able to find it eventually. When I walked-in, I was surprised to see that there were only three other diners there (two at one table, and one at another). I suppose that due to the time, many individuals had already eaten their lunch. <br/><br/>I was approached by a kind, younger gentleman at the front of the restaurant. He asked me how many would be dining; I told him it would just be myself. He then told me that I could choose to sit anywhere that I desired. Although the restaurant was on the small side, it felt quite quaint, I felt comfortable as there were many booths available, along with a few tables. I chose a booth near the window, then waited for the younger gentleman to approach me.<br/><br/>Once the younger gentleman approached me, he asked if I would prefer the lunch buffet or the a la carte menu. I asked him how much the lunch buffet was, and he told me that it would be $10.99 plus tax. I then opted for the lunch buffet as I found the price to be reasonable. He then asked me what I wanted to drink (I ordered water), then told me that I could begin on the buffet whenever I was ready. He then also let me know that he would be bringing over an order of Naan Bread shortly.<br/><br/>I then walked over to the buffet, which I noticed was a bit on the small side. There was one side which contained all of the hot items, and the other side which contained all of the cold items. Then, there was a small ice cream freezer near the kitchen, and a table with plates, napkins, and cutlery. Although the buffet was small, there were many items available, which satisfied my palate immensely.<br/><br/>Upon first walking to the buffet, I grabbed a plate, then proceeded to fill it with Butter Chicken, Rice, Channa Masala, and a Vegetable Pakora. I found that the Rice was clumpy, and it looked as though it had been sitting there for quite a while. I only grabbed the Rice that looked edible as I wanted to have Rice that looked fresh. I then asked the young gentleman if I could have Rice, at which he proceeded with a ‘yes’, then went to the kitchen.<br/><br/>The Butter Chicken was absolutely AMAZING, such a delicious sauce, filled with moist chicken, which kept my palate satisfied. The only thing was that I found the food to be a bit cold, not as hot (temperature-wise) as I would have liked however, it definitely tasted more delicious then I had expected. As I was finishing my first helping, the younger gentleman came to my table with an order of Naan Bread, which came out piping hot from the oven. When the Naan Bread was dipped in the Butter Chicken sauce, I was in HEAVEN, it was absolutely divine! <br/><br/>I was also surprised that the helping of Rice came so quickly after I had ordered it however, I didn’t expect it to come directly to my table, I thought it would go into the buffet station; I thought it was very kind of them to bring it directly to my table. I had about three helpings of the main dish items, which were all cooked to perfection, and tasting delicious. I then proceeded to try the dessert, which was the Gulab-Jamun, which was hot (temperature-wise) and overly delicious in the Rose Water Syrup. <br/><br/>I was pleasantly surprised at how well the food tasted, and how great the service was, with the younger gentleman asking me how I was enjoying my meal a few times throughout my time there. When I was ready to leave, I asked the younger gentleman for the bill. He then brought it over to my table, with the total being $12.42, which I thought was VERY reasonable for such a large amount of food. I then went to the front to pay, admiring the beautiful décor on the walls and shelves.<br/><br/>I left this restaurant with a smile on my face as I knew that this restaurant satisfied my taste buds immensely. I had read the reviews on here before going therefore, I had faith that I wouldn’t be disappointed, and disappointed I was not! I look forward to returning again to this restaurant as I found my experience to be much better than I had experienced at other establishments of this nature. Thank you for such a wonderful lunch!

Good place for Indian. Great curry, naan and tandoori chicken. I wish more of the dishes came with white meat as a couple of times I've ordered and it's not been white meat, but if you specify that's what you want, no problem. Good service, never have had any issues.<br/><br/>Also, in regards to being a woman. I usually pick up the orders, pay for it, etc... never in my life have I felt that I was being disrespected. If anything, the staff are a perfect balance of friendly without being leering (which I have experienced elsewhere). If there was any offending staff member, I can't imagine they're still there.

Great experience.. We had a relatively large party of nine and they handled us tremendously well. the food is fantastics with very exciting flavours and i highly recommend it.

Yummy!. I love the good here! Very good quality and very tasty. I just feel like the portion size is small given then price. Normally indian restaurants have much larger portion sizes for same price. My favs are: butter chicken, sizzling chicken tikka, mutter paneer, fish pakora. Also you can get marinated uncooked chicken - great for BBQs in the summer, my guests love it.

Bad service. Rude people taking orders, its a turn off

Easily the best Indian restaurant in Milton and one of the better ones in the GTA. I go there several times a year for special occasions and the service is always top notch. The food is amazing, especially the Paneer Pakora and the Paneer Makhani. You can also watch Bollywood music videos as you eat, which adds to the atmosphere. The prices are sit-down restaurant prices, but still good value for the quality of the food. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

Food is really good, ambiance needs updating

Our Go To Place. This place has some really good food! We come here pretty for often for our family nights out! The ambience is ok, certainly much better than a lot of places we've been to!<br/>The reviews about the çonstructive criticism' and 'no respect for women' make me laugh! I guess all bunches have them!

Bad Choice. We would not go to this place again. Pricey, bad service, lousy food, depressing ambiance and more worse is they did not want to accept our constructive criticism.
Naddy
Good Indian food. I've never had an issue with their service.

Bad food bad service. I just came back from it, the food was very oily and not what we expected, but the taste could be a personal opinion.<br/>This is what made me really mad, the waiter didn't know anything on the menu and when jokingly I said you should eat here more often to learn the menu, his response was "I don't eat Indian"<br/>here comes the worst part. we left our table to pay and the cashier noticed we left very quick, I told him we didn't like the food, I was expecting an answer "what could we do better? or can we offer you something else" his response was" oh, that's what you think not all the customers we have, so too bad" I still paid in full for the two meals although we came home to cook our self dinner after the disappointing service we had

Authentic Indian. We ate takeout from here for the first time last night and got Madras Lamb Curry and Chicken Biryani. Both were very good. The restaurant itself probably won't seem too inviting to most people. It lacks ambiance and decor is cheap looking. However, the food was authentic tasting and stands to impress on its own. If you're looking for Indian comfort food, give this place a chance. You won't find fancy or unique here... But the food was good. The location is a bit awkward. They could do a lot more with the space (which is quite roomy). They have a bunch of tacky handmade posters on the walls which makes it look amateur. <br/><br/>On another note, I noticed another reviewer mentioned that the staff doesn't "respect" or acknowledge women and I have to say I noticed the same thing. My wife and I walked in, her in front of me, and were greeted with "hello sir". I thought it was odd and paid no mind until I read the other reviewer's comments. Had I realized this was actually deliberate at the time I would have said something. <br/><br/>We'd do takeout again but couldn't see ourselves sitting in... ever.

Bombay Grill in Milton. Reading all the reviews and eating the food, here is our review:<br/><br/>1. food is great and so is the price. We always ordered our take out from Brampton where there is a variety of East Indian restaurants so I can say that the food at the Bombay Grill is great and so is the price. None of the restaurants in Brampton offer a main course with either naan or rice<br/><br/>2. to the person who said they disrespect women and it is a cultural thing, I would like to say that you are wrong on both accounts. I am East Indian and I should know. Maybe it is your personality?<br/><br/>3. To the person who said the food was oily? It is like saying there is too much garlic in Italian food.<br/><br/>LAJH

Good food bad service. We were ignore when we arrived. I asked if they had gluten free options and was assured they did. However, after a long wait the waiter came to explain which meals I could order and explained all of the foods without protein! When I explained what I needed to not have on the food he suggested vegetable dishes and whole wheat naan. Anyway, not everyone is an allergy specialist and I understand that but would have preferred if he told the truth, that he didn't understand what I was asking, right from the start. <br/>The food took a long time to come. One glass of water each and no refills offered. No one checked to see how our meals were. When we finished eating we waited a long time to have our dishes cleared and to get the bill and our leftovers. The food was fantastic but the experience was not. I would suggest take out only for those who want to try it. I will not be back.

Wonderful Curry, freindly staff, well priced!. I completely disagree with the above posters comment, that you will not get respect if you are a woman. I order take out quite often, and they remember my order, if it has been a while since I've been there, and ask me how I am. <br/><br/>The food is consistantly good. as for the atmosphere, it is a bit on the dark side, but I never eat there, I always take out. my food is always warm when I get home. <br/><br/>Overall I would give them 3 out of 4, and the title of best curry in town, easily.

Bombay Grill. I went reluctantly, preferring to spend my money on a "sure thing," and was completely impressed. The restaurant was decorated in a minimalist style yet was warm and inviting. It was busy but the service was flawless, and the food was delicious. It is definitely my new favourite restaurant in Milton.

Bombay. Went the other night ordered take out.<br/><br/>Food Quality was good. <br/>Only downfall would be the amount of oil.<br/><br/>Good Food, but for the price was on the high side for Indian.
