Review Troy's Diner - Milton

Really cute diner, bigger and better than it looks on the outside. I appreciate that they have a halal burger and are inclusive of their community. Food was good and satisfying! Family friendly ☺️ Loved the coke insured decor!

I unfortunately can only give Troy’s 3 stars because we were a bit disappointed in our meal this weekend. We ordered dinner through skip and it was very expensive but we try and support local so we didn’t mind. What we did mind however was the portions, everything we ordered was half empty and considering the prices I was very disappointed. The Alfredo was basically empty and the sides we got were half full as well. Their chipotle sauce was however very delicious and they gave plenty! The milkshakes were good too, just small considering they were $9 each. All in all the food was good, I just wouldn’t want to pay these prices again for the amount of food given unfortunately!

Delicious food and lovely service! Typical diner set up on the Main street. Breakfast for me is basically eggs Benedict no matter where I go and I am very particular about it and this place did not disappoint me. The loaded chicken sandwich was equally good. Service is really nice and friendly staff. The Covid information form is at your table which is good.

Wonderful time playing Wordle as we waited for our much anticipated breakfast to be served. We were treated to a great visit with the owner also. Generous meal portions, tasty food, friendly servers. We'll be back!!

A cute little diner tucked into a plaza. The parking lot is a little cramped so youre better off finding street parking nearby. The interior is very 'classic diner' with an emphasis on coca-cola. The place is kept clean despite how much traffic they appeared to be getting! Ordered sausage and eggs with a side of bacon and a beef dip sandwich. The homefries were a little bland, but weren't bad when dipped into the au jus. Order french fries instead of home fries if you prefer crispier potatoes! Red onions are used for the beef dip so if you prefer different onions in your sandwich, you might be happier with a different meal. The bacon is definitely the best part of breakfast, so I highly recommend ordering that if you visit. Service was impeccable - drinks were refilled without being asked, and food came quickly after ordering. Our server was very polite and friendly.

Troy's Diner is a staple in Milton. I love the scenery and the ambiance. I had the Lobster Benny with spinach and fries. The potatoes were soft without a crunch on the outside. The lobster benny tasted delicious although I doubt it is made with real lobster. The hollandaise sauce was perfect!! My friend had the grilled cheese benny with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce on top. They really think out of the box and the shakes looked amazing. I would definitely come back and try other menu items

Troy's Diner was an amazing family experience. From the pleasant Coca Cola-themed environment, to the polite staff and plethora of available food options, Its definitely a "MUST STOP" if you are anywhere in Southern Ontario. I personally ordered the Phillycheese Steak Hot Dog which is by FAR the best hot dog I've ever eaten. For dessert, I had an Oreo Milkshake and the flavors are unmatched. While eating we witnessed some children recieve what's called the "Mega Milkshake" and it was at least 3ft tall. The kids faces screamed excitement. Thank you for the service, I will definitely be returning soon and referring friends and family as well.

Amazing staff, very friendly! We got in about 45mins before they closed up and did not feel rushed at all - didn't even realized they closed at 8pm :) We were celebrating a special birthday, and the staff made him feel special tonight. Thank you!! #megamilkshake

This is a hidden gem in Milton's downtown. I was apprehensive about going here because of the reviews I saw, but on both occasions I visited the service and food was very good. New favourite breakfast place for sure.

Best breakfast joint in Milton!!!

A step into the past, this old school diner definitely is easy my favourite place to have breakfast in Milton. The rating for this place did make me shy away for sometime, and regrettably I only recently decided to stop in for breakfast.

The service is fast and friendly. There is a line up on weekends but wait time is approximately 7-15mins with the line up going right through the front door. Amazing milkshake btw.

Definitely a unique decor, good friendly service. Middle of the road in terms of food, foodies move along, those who are hungry and find the local spots closed on a Sunday may stumble in, as was the case for me. The food is edible, but nothing stellar.

A cornucopia of collectible Coca Cola kitsch! Almost every square inch of vertical or horizontal space in Troy's Diner has some kind of Coke memorabilia. Even the menu headings feature the Coca Cola font. Interesting place, particularly if you are a fan of Coca Cola.

The food is good diner fare. We were there after the lunch rush, and service was fast and pleasant. SWMBO had the Jumbo Smoked Meat Sandwich, which was piled high. I chose the Reuben Sandwich, which had nice melty Swiss cheese.

The napkin holder had a note that Troy's Diner accepts Canadian Tire money at par!

Back in time - Coke for all. I've been going to Troys for the many years that it has been open. My wife, daughter and I like the ambiance and the very friendly staff. The food is always hot and good. If there is something that needs changing, talk to Troy and it will be rectified. Get to know the staff and the many repeat customers by going to Troys on a Saturday morning. Get there early for a good seat.

Worst Experience!!!!!!. I want to start off by saying I have never written a review before but, after having the experience I had this morning...I needed to tell our story. My husband and I we're told about this diner and wanted to give it a try. We waited in line for about 15mins...which was fine and we hoped it was going to be worth the wait. There was a mother and her two small children infront of us that seemed to be related to one of the servers along with a young couple behind us. The mother and her children were seated and we were immediately after with the young couple that was behind us. The waitress that was assigned to our table and the other young couple was also the one that was related to the mother of the two children. The waitress took the young couples order and ours after even though we were the ones seated first. My husband and I waited another 30mins for our order and during this time the mother and children were served and had left and the young couple beside had finished their meal. My husband and I were ever only served a cup of coffee. We got up and left $2 for our coffees and we will NEVER go back. Terrible service, terrible experience and

Incredible value, poor service. Troy's Diner is a great spot for the family and offers a fantastic, affordable menu. The environment is classic and the food is better than the typical chain breakfast establishments. However, the service is incredibly inconsistent and you're often given little attention/sometimes treated rudely if your bill is less than $20, which is almost always the case!

If you're in town, you need to give Troy's a try for the food. The prices will have you ignoring the poor service.

6.5/10

My family and I have gone there for many years. My children lovecthe Coke decore and the staff are always friendly and personable. The owner, Troy, has always gone out of his way to make us feel welcomed and the food and portion sizes are great. Love thier shakes too!

Just finished my omelet at Troys and I have to say that it was one of the worst omelets I ever had!I found a few rotten pieces of potato in my home fries which was disgusting! And to finish everything my jam was poked with someone else's nails and it was served liket that!! I have to say that this was my fourth and LAST visit ever!! For twelve bucks they are much better options than this dumpy place!! To the owners GOOD LUCK with your pathetic business!
.

I live around the corner from troys and tried it for the first time today. After i had read all of the negative reviews. And i have to say i dont have a single complaint. I was in and out within 25 mins the waitresses were friendly and attentive and the food was hot and delicious.
If i had to say anything negative it would be that parking is very limited but then again its main street and there isnt parking anywhere.
Overall great experience maybe 2013 is looking up for troys.

Gordon Ramsay needs to visit but most assuredly would run away screaming.

I can't believe how they've slipped. I used to love coming to Troy's... In spite of all the tacky decor. It used to be good eats at a good price, and huge servings. For breakfast I used to LOVES me some "Troy's Favourite"; Eggs, Bacon, Farmers Sausage, Pancakes, Home Fries, Fruit and Toast. All of this for a decent price. Ok, so the potatoes were NEVER great, but now they've resorted to microwaved bacon and the two pancakes you get have shrunk more than half their size. It's almost ridiculous that they even bother putting the pancakes on a separate plate anymore.

The food aside the service has gone so downhill it's almost like the staff are being purposefully inept as some sort of comedic tribute to Andy Kaufman. I like coffee with milk. So I asked for milk. The server acknowledged this and said "I'll go get you some". Then, after socializing in the back for a bit loud enough for all to hear she pranced back past our table and went to serve someone new. And here's the thing... We were one of only four tables on this particular afternoon. NOT BUSY! So she walked past three more times serving this other table until I finally said aloud "Mmmmm, I LOVE black coffee!" She finally got me some milk. So here's the problem, this has happened the past three times I've been there. The food quality is one thing but the service just makes this used-to-be Milton staple a laughing stock of the town. Perhaps Troy himself should spend less time feeding his fetish of acquiring Coke paraphernalia and getting pictures with wrestlers and morning news shows and spend some time realizing what made him successful in the first place.

Listen Troy, we understand you're a diner and NOT a high end eatery. But I gave my three strikes and I'm out!

Boneless Wings. I thought I'd try this place for lunch since I'm a little tired of eating at chain places all the time. Ordered the boneless wings to go and it didn't take too long and the server was very nice. The wings were not that good. The chicken was cut into nice big chunks and they were juicy and good on the inside, but the batter was over-cooked and the sauce was nearly non-existent. I think they put the sauce on before they fried them because they were dry on the outside. They didn't look too appealing- see photo. I ate the chicken out of the middle and tried to avoid the burned batter.
Tomorrow perhaps back to Subway. At least I know what I'll get.

Unhappy Customer. Poor service,rude staff,cheap blend of coffee,over priced,and over-rated.

Worst food ever. Rude waitress. Cook (owner?) was farting around with the kids in the back instead of paying attention to the food being brutalized on the grill. When we said we didn't like our food, the waitress just said "oh sorry" and gave us our bill. We paid even though we were still hungry when we left, but we won't ever go back. The McDonalds burgers we got after leaving were better than what they tried to pass off as food.

Great if you like grease and attitude. Just moved to Milton and was told "go to Troy's" for breakfast. I must have misunderstood. Maybe they said "avoid troy's?" This can't be the only breakfast place in Milton, right? The food was just awful! And the young waitress was impatient to the point of being rude. They must have patrons with no taste buds, cast iron stomachs, and extreme cult-like loyalty to still be in business.

Crowded tables, bad food, rude staff. Once was more than enough for me. The staff was rude and the food was horrible. Not even standard greasy spoon food, it was just greasy and bad. One of my sons ordered pancakes. How can you screw up pancakes? Apparently very easily. Prices were not bad but considering what you get for it, even free wouldn't make me go back.

Very nice people and do a lot in the community. If I had to be critical, I would say that they can not make a fluffy pancake if their life depended on it

Awsome. My friends and i enjoy breakfast at Troy's at least 2 Saturday mornings each month. The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable, easy going and extremely friendly. it is not uncommon to have a short wait at the door while staff scramble to keep the tables clean and get you seated as soon as the first one becomes available. Coffee is poured immediately and your cup will never go empty. The food is delicious and served exactly the way you ask for it. Troy himself is usually on location and greets his patrons with a warm and inviting smile. We simply love it at Troy's and would recommend it to anyone who has yet to "experience" it.
