Review La Rose Specialty Foods And Fine Italian Bakery - Milton

La Rose is hands down my favorite bakery. The pastries are among some of the best and the bread/buns are always fresh. Hold up well in the freezer too. The hot table food never disappoints, always a great variety. We often stock up on some of the freezer items too - the ravioli is fantastic on busy weeknights. Close to Valentine's Day they make heart shaped Ravioli and it's a really cute dinner. In the summer, we'll grab a few cold cut sandwiches before heading outdoors and it makes the perfect lunch. There are some great pre-packaged items. The imported stuff is the BEST. Nostalgic candy and fun sweets. I often get asked where I got them from and always convince people to pay La Rose a visit! The prices reflect their quality ingredients and importing this kind of stuff is not cheap. Visiting La Rose is really a special treat.

I love this store! Great staff and always helpful even when they’re crazy busy! I got my daughters sweet 16 cake from Le Rose and it was stunning! I’ve since moved from the area but always make sure to pop in as often as I can.

The day of my baby shower another company that was originally supposed to cater all the food fell through last minute, leaving us in a pretty bad predicament an hour before my guests arrived. I called La Rose Bakery and spoke to Sal - he was SO kind, sympathetic to my situation and immediately offered to help right away which eased so much stress. My fiancé went in and was helped right away by Sal and another lovely woman (we didn't catch her name). They quickly helped him select everything we needed for our 15 guests and provided exceptional customer service on a busy Sunday. They literally saved the day! They were even kind enough to give us flowers for my special day. The sandwiches, salad, cake and pastries were fresh and amazing. Everyone was so impressed. I would recommend this bakery to everyone! The food is fresh and delicious, and they go above and beyond to provide the best customer service. I can't thank them enough!!

Great little bakery and grocery store but the prices seem to have gone through the roof in the past few months. I always go here to get a birthday cake but the last time I went it was almost $50 for a cake! I understand prices have gone up across the board but last year these were for about $35 that’s a huge increase! :(

Very good selection of bakery products. The cannolis are amazing! They have some specialty British and Italian snacks. The store staff are great. I am taking off 1 star because I wanted to order a cake in advance with less added sugar, and they couldn’t accommodate. I had to order from somewhere else.

Wait times are too long at the hot plate/pastry section - No one directs the customers where to line up. It's so irritating. Sweets have been stale lately, it wasn't like that before. The staff that deals with the customers, not the working at the back are rude and stern. I don't need attitude. I am a paying customer. I rather drive to Oakville to go to Whole foods, everything is way better there from quality to customer service. Good luck!!!

Milton location Very clean, organized, each staff member I encounter asked if need help. Selected a bag of buns & asked if I could get a sandwich made. " no problem sir, what do you like. No skimping on meat or cheese. It could only be better if I made it at home. 10 stars 🌟

I live in Toronto, but La Rose is still a spot I make the time and drive for when I'm seeing friends in Milton and Burlington. Their food and offerings are wonderful, and their staff is top notch! Their hot counter is outstanding - every day a delicious homemade spread. The sundried tomatoes in their antipasto bar offerings are to die for - they are SOOOO GOOD! Great selection of cheeses and meats, and even carry vegan and vegetarian fare throughout the store. Also love to get grocery items like Branston Pickle, Hot English Mustard, and real Cadbury Chocolates. I try to avoid the sweet counter but it inevitably calls to me and I've never been disappointed sampling their selection. My friends have also ordered beautifully done custom cakes for special events and birthdays. Catering is also a hit when I've needed it (the vegetarian pizza's a total crowd pleaser - even the meat eaters love it!) and they offer great platters, mains, and sides. Super easy to coordinate, too. I can't say enough about this La Rose - totally one of my happy places.

Amazing cakes! Always tasting so good! This is the only bakery I recommend to friends and family. The pastry staff are so talented and the attention to detail is fantastic. Thank you for never disappointing!!!

Its always a joy to go to La Rose for my fresh bread, But right now the isles are filled with chocolates, cookies and goodies from around the world. Its tasteful ,reasonable and lots of treats from my childhood I go in for a mental health break and enjoy my memories Thanks to all the great staff and family at La Rose Its my 40th year ever since the Harrop Restaurant serve the good heart bread

Wonderful food. We got veal parm sandwiches, arancini and pizza. YUMMY! Loved the experience. We brought yummy bread/Sorpressata back to the States too!

Went to La Rose on the weekend and had lunch from the hot table, we had the mushroom panzerotti, gnocchi in a pesto cream sauce and pasta with rose sauce. The food was amazing 😊

Met with a few of the operators at the bakery today and were very impressed by their professionalism, creativity, cleanliness, and great products they offer to the people of Milton and surrounding areas. Highly recommended!!

Have been shopping and ordering catering from this wonderful place for the past 6 years and they are absolutely amazing! I'm also loving all the vegan brands and foods you have started stocking lately, instead of driving to get them out of town I can support a local business. ....please keep more vegan options coming!

I absolutely love la rose bakery ! The food is always fresh and delicious I always cater and receive extreme compliments always on their food ! And when I don't feel like cooking (which is often) I call them sometimes even last minute and they always accommodate. Then their deserts top notch

Love to go there whenever I visit my son, Darren Anderson, and daughter in law Erin, in Milton, ont. Portuguese Butter tarts are to die for. Hard to decide what to buy, it all looks so delicious.

Best bakery in Milton-awesome selection of bread & deli items. Their bakery has everything you could ever need & also carry alot of English candy...my one down fall. I visit LaRose at least 4 times a week & their hours are fantastic

We recently moved to Milton and we were thrilled to discover La Rose. We used them to cater our daughter's birthday party and were so pleased with the delicious good and gorgeous birthday cakes. We will be back for sure!

Ordered a baptism and father's day cake last week. Yesterday my sister went to pick it up and only one cake was correct. They gave us a cheesecake instead of our original order. Although the baker was trying to correct this last minute by baking our cake it was too late!!! My sister was the God Mother and needed to be at the church in Oakville. She took the cheesecake. ... unfortunately I ended up at Metro looking for another cake last minute for the kids as they have a cheese allergy!!! NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE as all we needed was a call! Everything was paid up front ...no refund or even discount offered....anyhow I won't be back as it ruined our baptism tradition cake experience. ...needless to say the other cake was delicious

Love the fresh daily food, especially the soups and pastas! Produce section is very fresh and appealing as a customer.
