Review The Broken Paddle - Metchosin

Delicious pumpkin spice latte with homemade syrup and a really great egg muffin. Lovely vibe and has toys for toddlers to play with! Will definitely be back

It’s a cute little place - The sandwich and blueberries French toast were decent. Not a lot of seating inside though so you might have to wait outside if it gets busy

Took my family there on Mother's Day. Excellent service, delicious food and nice setting.

Lovely coffee shop, had a great latte and the server even told me about a fantastic trail nearby so I could walk my dog!

The Broken Paddle was my treat for a job well done on a bike ride on the galloping goose. I had a latte & a super healthy, delicious energy ball (entirely healthy raw ingredients, I was told). I didn't want to leave my bike out front so the server kindly showed me to the little patio area out back. What a sweet little calm garden! There are enough bistro tables for several groups to gather but I had the place to myself that day. I think that The Broken Paddle is definitely a destination stop especially if you're out on a bike ride on the Goose.

Great coffee, tasty baked goods, and delightful conversation. Everything I have eaten from here has been great, you can't go wrong! I particularly recommend the outrigger breakfast sandwich.

So lucky to have this amazing little café in our community. The food is always incredible and everything is sourced locally if possible. Shannon takes genuine pride in what she puts in your cup or on your plate, and the conversation is always great. The only down side is it encourages me not to cook breakfast at home because you just can’t knock off those Broken Eggers!

My favourite place to buy coffee! I loved the "Dirty Chai" and their Americano. :-) Always a pleasure going here, relaxed place to have a nice beverage, or delicious meal/snack. Amazing owner and staff.

Very sweet place in metchosen with great breakfast sandwiches but Very annoying that this place has no Wi-Fi! Went there to do some work and sit For an hour between nature excursions but was very disappointed. Maybe put a sign outside that says sorry no Wi-Fi? Otherwise I’d give it five stars🌟

Coffee must was very good. Had soup of the day as well. Soup was very tasty and a cup was thick and satisfying. Soup selection changes daily. Small coffee shop with limited inside seating but atmosphere was pleasant and allowed for intimate conversations. A small selection of sandwiches and pastries on a chalk board. A definite return to sample again.

One of the best Oat Lattes I've had at a reasonable price. Nice, quiet, cozy shop. The Barista was nice (not loud & jacked on caffeine trying too hard like most places)

Wonderful, cosy coffee shop. Ordered and received a perfect Americano and a great latte. Great service and seating area has a just the right amount of seating to be comfy.

Cute little place with short hours, but great if you're on a mid-week ride or you're exploring the area! Small family owned and run, so very personal experience! The espresso is okay, not the best, but I don't think the machine is maintained too well or that the owners are conniseurs of coffee ;) still, much better than Starbucks or any other corporate café!

The Broken Paddle is a beautiful little gem in the heart of Metchosin. The goodies are made with love and the coffee is always fantastic. The owner has created something very special there. Don't miss out on the little backyard hangout when the weather's nice!

YUM!. The food is amazing, soup to die for and great service. Staff is always friendly and as quick as possible. I would highly recommend stopping by there if you are in Metchosin. Grab an Egger or a cup of soup and go for a walk around Sea Bluff farm, what a way to spend the day!

Awesome food! Lovely art on the walls and delicious homemade chai. Thought the staff was very fun and community oriented. Had a very REAL experience

Broken Paddle.needs work. The coffee and goodies are good and it is community oriented; however, based on several experiences at this cafe, I find the service often slow (customers wait while the staff chats). The don't take debit.

One of my favourite coffee shops.. The decaf Americano I have is always nice and hot. The mulligatawny soup is to die for and the commuter cookies (they make you get up and go!) are delicious, especially when they're fresh out of the oven.

The service is always great as well.
