Excellent food, our favorite place in town. We are breakfast people and everything was qualitydowntothecupsof coffee. Highly recommended and friendly staff.
Stopped in on our way home from North Bay to Ottawa. The restaurant was super quaint - decorated just enough, not overdone. It was neat and tidy. The hostess/waitress was lovely. Menu selection was good. Meals were great tasting, made with fresh ingredients. I had a peak at what other people were ordering around us, everything looked very enticing. Beer was ice-cold! 😊. Loved everything. Five stars.

Every town should have a little funky cafe if you want a break from the chains. This is it, good coffee and a small menu, good sandwiches that come with a salad instead of fries which I appreciated and a very good in house pizza. I'm glad they were there and I would go back. Oh yeah, the service was very polite and laid back which was just right.

I liked this cafe. It appears to be a home converted to a cafe. Service was prompt and polite. My son had pizza which wasn't on the menu as with the nachos. They're open at 11 so no breakfast menu, only lunch and dinner. They serve alcohol but again not on the one page menu, they're posted on a chalkboard which doubles as a cash and bar area. The pizza was very good as with the grilled chicken sandwich and the sandwiches came with a garden salad. Portion size was appropriate, just how much food do you need. We would return.
Surprisingly good. Very nice atmosphere. The waitress was pleasant... maybe the owner. I took a pic of the steak I order. It was delicious. A little bar, patio seating, and sometimes live music.
Friendly yet professional service. Food was top notch, very fresh and delicious. We will definitely return.
The Moon Cafe is top Notch! Great ambiance, friendly small town service with big city quality food! We stop in everytime we visit Mattawa.
