Review Axia East - Markham

Food is fresh and tastes good and our server is very courteous and polite and smiling at all times but no beer so my husband is not too happy. And they don’t have any dessert because the boss forgot to buy milk. Man! So sad. Anyway, the place is clean and tidy. 👍

I've lived in Toronto for a while and for some reason never ate here. But I was surprised for what you pay for it's worth it. I have to echo like alot of reviews that the service is awesome. Place is clean and food is good for what your paying for. Most places cost way more for eating at the food court. Here is a nice atomsphere even for families. They also take debit. I ate the katsu ramen. And the katsu was pretty good with the mayo. Noodles was just probably from a 99 cents package but it's what it shows outside. So I know what to expect. Soup base was spicy and with egg and enoki mushroom. So yes! I've been missing out all these years

Average food and average service. Primarily Japanese and Korean choices on the menu here. They've been around for quite a while now at this location and I still struggle to figure out how they've survived this long in this area where it's extremely competitive to run an Asian food restaurant, the rent can't be cheap. There are better options in the area without having to leave the mall or re-park.

Amazing service, that's something you notice right off the bat! Very quick and accommodating as well! Their interior decor is quite intimate but yet has hints of Asia. Sushi was great, their mango slush is also really good! I can see this being a staple in the summer, so definitely try that!

Cozy place and great food. The server was very nice and kind enough to suggest a dish of ramen noodles that weren't overly spicy. Very professional and kind young man. Will go here again when I'm back in town.

A true staple of Pacific Mall. I’ve visited Axia since I was young, it has never disappointed me. Fair prices for great food. You are also paying for a authentic Asian experience, hence the name. All in all, would 100% recommend. Tip- The deep fried Philly roll is to DIE for.

The food came pretty quick but I can only describe it as a bit underwhelming. The fried rice I received tasted good but was drenched in oil. The skewers had great flavour but ended up dry.

Incredibly unique atmosphere and ambience matched with a wide variety of sushi, sashimi and other unique menu items. My friends and I became total gluttons after being seated here. The staff did look like they had long days, but they were still prompt with the orders and made sure our glasses were filled. A total exquisite gem within Scarborough is what this place is!

I took my 4 year old nephew there..like we usually do. And the service we had by one woman was disgusting. She didn't want to serve us (or another table) because of only one reason..the color of our skin. We were both from Brown colored backgrounds (we didn't know them not did they know us) and she didn't want to take our order, she never check on us, or asked if we needed anything to drink. But other tables with customers from her decent that came in AFTER us got their food, ate it and already got food to take out. And we were still waiting for her to ask us for our order. When she brought out food she tossed it on the table and left. You are by far the most disgusting woman I have ever met. Especially because you see a child and you treat them like that? horrible!!!!

There were a few Bento boxes available and I debated for a bit whether to get grilled squid or Beef Bulgogi. To make it simple, I ordered both! J Hubby got some seafood soup and we ordered fried Beef Ramen for the girls. Grandma had some of her favourite-- Shrimp Tempura.<br/><br/>Our ban chan (Korean appetizers) of kimchi, beansprout, and even sweet potato noodles was served along with the miso soup included with our meals.<br/><br/>Soon after, my very yummy grilled squid arrived! It was well cooked, not gummy or rubbery. Hints of char mingled with barbecue sauce wrapped the squid. Yum! I can definitely see myself craving this again. It could also very well be a meal in itself along with some rice. Then, my Bento box came with the same type of appetizers.<br/><br/>The Beef Bulgogi was well marinated and cooked medium. It was delicious! As I was eating two dishes along with appetizers, I had to bring home more than half of my Beef Bulgogi. It was one left-over I was excited to eat.  <br/><br/>Hubby liked his seafood soup, which had a decent serving of shrimps, mussels, and kani (artificial crab). <br/><br/>The girls found the Ramen a bit on the spicy side and opted to swap with Grandma’s Tempura which was also nicely cooked—not oily at all!

Recently I went back to Axia Café, under the circumstances of being one of the few places open when I had arrived to PMall about 11-1130AM. Most of the mall has not even opened yet, even though Google says it opens at 11AM. I’ve been to Axia Café about maybe 4-5 years ago – a very long time ago. But the food was decent and nothing bad happened so I suggested going back there to eat again.

Love this place! Have been going there for years , go in practically every time that I go to Pacific mall! on Our last visit my husband and I ordered Tropical dragon roll , Sizzling Beef, and Oolong Tea Late. They always bring hot tea as soon as you sit down ,  but this time my husband also wanted something cold to drink so he ordered the Oolong tea late which was delicious ! Sizzling beef came with miso soup , Korean side dishes and steamed rice . Delicious beef , we chose mild vs spicy this time , lots of veggies and delicious sauce came steaming hot on a cast iron plate. We love their side dishes which consist usually of spicy candies potatoes , kimchi , sprouts , broccoli and mung bean noodles. Miso soup tasted nice fresh and had kelp and tofu in it , perfect to start a meal with since it was a cold day. Tropical dragon roll was ten pieces and its generously portioned , It has an amazing combination of mango , shrimp tempura , tobico , cream cheese , avocado and drizzled with mango sauce, spicy mayo and another sauce. The combination of all those flavors just goes so well together and I really recommend to try it.

This restaurant has great value and a ton of selection. Axia offers all kinds of asian food from japanese, korean to chinese. The portions are good and they have all you can eat pork bone soup. If you are in Pacific Mall and don't feel like eating at the food court then give this place a try. The bibimbap is tasty, the make your own bento gives you the ability to create exactly what you want. The deep fried tofu was very crispy but a little too salty.

Absolutely love this restaurant! The food and the service is amazing! I live 4 hours away and whenever I go to Toronto I always make a pit stop in Markham to eat at this restaurant

Go-To at Pacific Mall. Every time my fiancé and I visit Pacific Mall, this is our go-to restaurant. I've always been wary of the food served in this mall, but this restaurant never disappoints. The servers and waiters are kind and helpful when asking about the menu. I usually get the stone pot bibimbap, and my fiancé gets the pork bone soup. There never a long wait for our food to arrive, and I like that very much - Even if it is packed, you still get your food served right on time. I enjoy the refillable Korean sides too. Overall, a great atmosphere where you can have a nice meal.

Bland. Ordered the green apple green tea (too bitter for my taste) and the noodles weren't as spicy as I would've liked, but it was good value for its price

Ann. Next time you have a promotional sign, make sure the fine print is 100% visible, not hiding underneath the picture frame.

A Solid, Go-To Place in Pac Mall.. All the handful of times that I've been here, and not really wanting to eat in the food court, I've never had a problem with the food or service.<br/><br/>Portions are quite generous, both sushi and other dishes, and they are served rather quickly. Some dishes also comes served with Korean side dishes to start. Tea is also refilled without asking.<br/><br/>Menu itself offers a wide assortment to cater to different tastes with sushi, Korean, and Chinese dishes.<br/><br/>I shared a sushi lunch special today and it was fairly fresh. Although a coupla nigiri did fall apart. Also ordered a coupla handrolls and they were delicious! Good balance of rice/fish and other ingredients.<br/><br/>So the next time you're overwhelmed with the food choices at Pac Mall, Axia is a safe bet!

Axia has daily menu specials as well as bubble tea specials (they're attached to a bubble tease). I think I'll be visiting Axia again if I'm every back in Pmall (the other great restaurants in Markham are just too far to get to by bus).

They have an open concept so there are no walls that confine you and those passing by can peak at what you're eating.

This is one of the best places to get Pork Bone Soup. The Beef Udon was a tad salty. We've dined here before and the food is great. They just need to speed up their service
