It almost feels like one of those restaurant you will find on DDD. The food is decent for where they are, the ribs are falling off the bones most of the time. It's not the best ribs I've had, but it's decent. A 4* rating seems fair
We got onion rings to start with. Crispy and not oily! Yum! DD#1 wolfed it down!
For our main, we ordered a party pack-- full rack, a pound of wings, pulled pork and sides (coleslaw, beans, cornbread and fries).
The ribs were perfectly seasoned, bursting with flavor right to the bone. After the slightest nudge, the meat fell off the bone. The BBQ sauce was superb, delicately balancing the sweet and tang. The pulled pork had the same tenderness and delicious sauce.
As for the chicken, we got fried (vs grilled) half and half--original BBQ and Montreal dry. We preferred the Montreal dry with the dry rub. The skin was oh so crispy and the spices were just perfect! Will definitely go for a 2-pounder (1lb=10wings) next time!
Wow this is some good bbq... I've been by this place many time but hadn't stopped in until today and I'm glad I did. I ordered the 3 Rib combo which came with fries, beans, cornbread, and coleslaw. Everything was great! The coleslaw was slightly sweet and creamy. The cornbread is a nice touch to offset the salty items. The beans were nicely done. The ribs were delicious. They gave me 4 despite me ordering 3. They were cooked to perfection, tender but didn't slide off the bone which is perfect. The sauce was on point with the flavours. The fries were good. Hot and crispy, what more can fries be? I will be back and I'll bring people with me. Delicious food. All that plus a bottle of water was only $15.20 with tax. Portion size would have been enough for dinner (with the extra rib).
I went back. I changed rating to a 5. Try the wings. I love this place.

It's been over a year since I've been to Big Bone BBQ & Wicked Wings. I've been wanting to write a review for a long time and thought I should finally do it!🐷🐽+🐓
The Big Bone BBQ I visited was the one in Markham. It's actually located on Bullock Drive, relatively close to Markville mall. The restaurant itself is quite small. Many people opt for take out as oppose to dining in for that reason. The day I visited was a Monday and it was a good day to go as there is a Monday special! I can't get over what a deal it is! For 25.00 you get an entire rack of ribs, a pound of wings, a large side of your choice of either a salad or fries! All for 25.00 tax included!😊
Now let's talk about the quality of the meal. The ribs were very juicy with just the right amount of sauce and bbqed to absolute perfection! It wasn't fall off the bone which many people love. For me, I prefer a bit of a bite! The ribs quality and cooking technique is on par to some well known venders at some rib fests that I've been to! Sooo good! As for the wings there were a variety of flavors to choose from. I think I chose hot/fried wings. In all honesty, I can't remember specific details about the wings, as they were average and didn't really stand out in comparison to the ribs. However, to be fair, the wings were plump and were meaty, saucy and complimented the meal very well. The salad was very fresh and the fries were crispy, hot and perfect with mains. The entire meal was like a good picnic bbq you would have on a sunny summer afternoon. I definitely will return back to Big Bone BBQ & Wicked Wings soon for a summer time BBQ meal to warm up a cool fall day!😄
I've been to Big Bone BBQ a few times this Summer and have had a good experience. I've always gone for their smoked wings, something I haven't been able to find around Markham. The smoked wings comes with a side salad as well. I have also tried their beans, coleslaw and cornbread which is a must if you're eating here. I've also tried their poutine which was good. Check out their Monday special (comes with all of the sides!) The atmosphere isn't anything special but their food keeps guests returning.
Was ok. Had the biscuit sandwich. Was good not great just meat with sauce between two buns, feel like it needed something else. Fries are frozen not fresh. Beans came out of a can. Slaw was ok. Overall it was good.

First off, this place does not look like your typical BBQ joint. It looks like they either kept the furniture and decor from whatever place was there before, whatever tacky place was there before, or found the furniture in a dumpster behind another restaurant that was undergoing renovations. The seats were very dirty, the cushions filthy. Now we know why the high take out business!! Please paint the walls, they are crying for it.
There's a big take out business like i said earlier. There were always a large group of people staying around watching you eat. There's no other place for them to be besides just beside the table watching you eat the delicious food.
There was one waitress tending all the tables and it was a challenge to get her attention when we needed things. She was also working the take out counter. They really needed another person. This was a very busy Saturday evening.
The food. Ribs were great, (fatty yum!!) loved the wings and poutine and slaw. The pulled pork was really dry. So was the corn bread.
I can whole heartedly recommend the wings and ribs, maybe pass on the pulled pork.
They have a great monday special. Go there for that.
You can't get quality barbecue that they offer anywhere else unless it's at a ribfest. Very happy to give them a very good review. This is the place to go!
Wish they have sweet tea. I've been here few times and find that they are pretty consistent, the pulled pork sandwich was huge enough to feed two small person, mildly smoked, good favorite. BBQ wings were juicy, moist and perfectly smoked for me because I dislike strong smokey favorite. Cornbread, coleslaw and baked bean were all good and well balanced. There is one thing missing is the free refill sweet tea.
Huge portions, pretty good overall but a bit on the sweet side. Ordered ribs dinner with fries and beef brisket as well as fried wings. Ribs were delicious and perfectly seasoned, fell off the bone. Fries were good, fresh oil which is always important (nothing worse than old fry oil - you totally taste it). The beef brisket was a little too sweet. Wings were good, haven't tried the smoked wings everyone raves about. Liked that the coleslaw was actual fresh cabbage. Baked beans were also quite sweet. Suits BBQ lovers who are into the sweeter sauces. For someone like me who prefers the saltier end of the spectrum, that's my only complaint. Portions are ridiculously huge and will fill up a trucker no problem.
Delicious, ribs was never my favorite food but after having the ribs here, I went back for more a week later. Amazing, chicken wings with bbq sauce wasn't that great but the honey garlic was good
Yummy!. We used to go all the way to Newmarket to have their food and now they are so close to us here in Markham! Drooling over their fries and nachos. I'm in love with the corn bread and the wings are great smoked or fried. Sauces for them are rich and distinctive. Just as good as the Newmarket location, plus one of the cooks is from there so its great taste carries over and a lot larger than the original place. Definitely a place to eat!!!
Not a fan of their ribs. But definitely a fan of their smoked chicken wings! So good.

Pretty good, but not exceptional. Would definitely recommend as a place to just hang out with friends, but not so much for the taste. Servers were all really nice too.

The first thing I loved was their fries. Droool! They were so well fried and crispy! I couldn’t stop eating the first several fries. Also, the pile of food was huge! The picture of fries seen below is actually extremely misleading. It looks like a small dish, but if you scroll lower and view the picture of me with the food, you’ll get an idea of how big the portion actually was. So! Even though I wanted to keep on munching and finishing all the fries, I also didn’t want to let the meats get cold.
