Review Inspire Restaurant - Markham

Service was great, the waitress would come back to refill our water from time to time. The atmosphere was what I expected for dinner, nice, dim and cozy with small seatings. We ordered the calamari, duck fries, and chicken waffles. The chicken waffles is a must, it's basic but they do it good.

Had a wonderful evening at Inspire! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. The duck truffle fries are a must! And while you're at it, have yourself one of their signature drinks to get your started. Everything on the menu is awesome. We had the chicken and waffles as well as the burgers. Just awesome!!

The food here was great, lots of flavours with all the dishes. Highly recommend to share among your friends or family. The go to is either chicken and waffle or the hamburger.

To begin, I would highly recommend this place. If Google could give half or "point" raitings, this place would be very close to a five. The ambience is nice, a little cramped, but it has that hipster gen Z, Instagram that we all know and love. Service is friendly, sufficient, and overall effective whereas my food (The chicken and steak over waffles) was excellent and well-priced. I thought the food was overpriced at first, until the food came out, which was an extraordinary portion. Overall, the taste was excellent and I would highly recommend my dish. Had a friend order a burger which came with a monstrous load of fries and another who ordered the fish bowl over rice. Overall, if I stuck with my food it would be a five out of five, but the other dishes that my colleagues let me try were on the more mediocre side. So overall, in my personal experience, Inspire would be almost perfect, but perhaps in light of other's experiences and food taste it may be closer to a great rather than a perfect. Ultimately, it's worth a shot, especially if you try the meat over waffles.

Loved the appetizer Lettuce Pray but didn't make it to take a photo. For the main entree ordered the Loco Moco. First couple of bites was glorious but then the richness kicked in and couldn't even make it half way. It's a nice atmosphere and definitely lots of flavour. Willing to give them another try especially since I loved the appetizer so much.

The chicken and waffles was pretty good. The rest (calamari, loco moco and crab with noodles) was pretty below average given the price. They were all special for sure but not the very good kind of special? The mixed in a lot of different stuff for every dish but they just didn’t work? For example, the calamari sauce was minty. Maybe it’s just me though but I thought it was a bit odd. The service was good though!

This place is amazing, dishes are curated beautifully and full of umami! This will be one of my favorite restaurants on my list! Highly recommend! There is parking behind the restaurant, and if you have a large party I recommend making a reservation as they have about 12 tables.

Went here on a Saturday night, was able to get seats on a minimum wait time. The staff was super friendly. The udon Carbonara was pretty good. The Loco Moco was alright. The duck fries was kinda disappointing and came out a bit late. Overall I'd give this place a try if you haven't yet.

Inspire is one of THE BEST restaurants in Markham. I have tried just about everything on the menu (even though it changes several time a year!), and the food is always top notch. The Inspire burger and Chicken & Waffles continue to be the staple items and are consistently amazing. Some of the best items on the menu may sound unusual (ie. udon carbonara), but they are always delicious. These are the unique fusion items that make this place so awesome! The ambiance is quant and comfortable – any dress code is appropriate. The service is always friendly and welcoming, providing just the right amount of attention (your drink gets topped off before it’s empty). Just be sure to make reservations, as the place does get full (most evenings) and I have seen people turned away without reservations.

Family of 4 (with 2 kids) went for our anniversary last night. Staff was helpful and nice, we all love our meals, inspire burger is the best! The appetizer guacamole with salmon tastes really good too, and we also order the chicken waffle. This is the best place for comfy food. Love their decorations too, highly recommend to make reservation as they have limited seats. Looking forward to go there again, wanted to try the udon carbonara, yum!

Our first time at Inspire was quite enjoyable. we went for Valentine's Dinner so the menu was a prix fixe with 3 options each for appetizer, main course and drink. The appetizers were excellent , great flavour and good size portions. Mains tasted delicious but my lamb was severely under cooked (almost raw). the server apologized and offered to bring me a new rack of lamb but I declined as I was full and didn't want to wait. Without me having to ask, the main course was removed from my bill. That is the mark of a good restaurant. We will go back.

I’m vegan. There was only one option, which was the Dr. shroom burger (minus the aioli mayo, but it was amazing, and came with fries.

Fusion food at its finest. Amazing ambiance & excellent service. A Creative & refreshing menu. Try the smoked pork ribs & Panko crusted cheese - mouth watering ! Eat dessert - try the ice cream sandwich! I will definitely go again.

Great place, staff and food. Bring back the Burritos please! Those were the best in the planet!

What a great experience. Food is plentiful and delicious. Brought my 2 year old and the kids burger was huge and the staff was so sweet to him. Can't wait to go back.

The food is amazing. The staff are awesome......the decor is cool......it's very small which is good and bad.....you get asked to leave after a certain time for the next reservation......it's a bit cold sitting by the door. Otherwise great place.

We went to Inspire last night, deciding to stay close to home, and couldn't be happier with our choice. From the free parking to the super-friendly and knowledgeable staff it started great. The decor was unique, inviting, but not trying too hard. The food was the best part - as it should be - fresh & delicious lettuce wraps, delicious entrees of udon carbonara and prime beef on coconut rice, and ridiculous dessert of Cap'n Crunch white chocolate brownie waffle ice cream sandwich.You read that right. DEFINITELY coming back!

One of my favourite places to eat in Markham. The food is fantastic! Unfortunately it's a small space so try making reservations to avoid waiting.

I heard a lot about the restaurant and finally decided to try this place out. It's a nice cozy small restaurant in Main Street Markham. We went for lunch and my friend recommended me to try the Butter Chicken Pasta. It was absolutely delicious and the butter chicken was definitely top-notch with the unique spices and flavours. Definitely would recommend that especially those trying the restaurant for the first time. The price for lunch was pretty good. The restaurant highly recommends making reservations. Will return again and try other delicious foods.

Overrated ! They turned down several walk in customers where there were still have some empty tables and those empties were available for 2 and a half hours while we were there on. I was turned down last winter at 8:30 on a Wednesday night for a similar situation, food was OK but reservations only....not a chance !

Had a fantastic time celebrating a couple of birthdays. Had fantastic service from the moment we walked in. Friendly, accommodating and very attentive. The food was fantastic and will definitely be going back.

Good flavors and textures. Work on turning out dishes that are hot when they hit the table.

Inspire is a little jewel on Main Street, Markham. The food is so good. Fried chicken with Waffle, Duck Taco, Hanoi Beef Salad... Can't wait to return again. A+++++

My cousin and I went to Inspire Restaurant for dinner tonight. The first time I went was for brunch for my friend's birthday back in December. I liked my Eggs Benny the first time but I think I enjoyed my meal more this time around! We had the Udon Carbonara (who would have thought to pair the two together!) and the Chicken & Waffle - which is sure to delight every time. I liked the thoughtful and unexpected ingredients that they put into their dish - like the pomegranate seeds in the waffle dish. The menu is creative, fun, inventive and flavourful. I'll be back again for some more and I'll definitely be writing a Yelp review and blogging about it on my lifestyle blog!
