having tried deep fried squid at every Chinese restaurant in the lower mainland, Ocean Village nails it! Cooked to absolute perfection, melt in your mouth and the perfect blend of seasonings. Kudos to their chef!
So, I love Ocean Seafood Village and I've been coming to this place since I was a little kid. I live in Vancouver now, and I can't find Chinese food that beats this place. The owner, Phillip, is so sweet and comes to chat with us each time we visit. He really cares about the food and his customers, and there's a reason this place has been in business for so long.
Anyways, the food here is awesome. "Must-orders" are the beef and broccoli, peking chicken (this is the stuff food dreams are made of - it's really good), and the house special chow mein. Ask for the crunchy noodles - they rock.
I know this place doesn't look too impressive from the outside - but the food and serving staff have been there a long time, and know how to make delicious food.
The sweet and sour pork wasn’t quite as crisp as some other places I have had but overall it has a nice flavour and there wasn’t too much coating which was nice.
