Ok. So I'm new to maple ridge. And I wanted some good Chinese food. I came here not knowing what to expect. I ordered house special chow mein, house special fried rice, breaded almond chicken, and sweet and sour pork. The food was awesome!!!! The staff was very friendly. Talking to them was like talking to two friends.

Don't let the negative reviews turn you away from this gem. Food was great!

Waitress was very friendly and service was pretty fast. Food came to the table in a reasonable timeframe. Food was typical standard Canadian Chinese. Tasted fine but nothing spectacular.

This is the only place in Maple Ridge I will order Chinese food from. I have been a customer for over 15 years, and will continue to reccomend it. The honey garlic boneless pork is my favorite menu item.

Best chinese food in town. This is bar none the BEST fried rice i have EVER tasted anywhere in the lower mainland! it has a unique smokey flavour that has been the same for the 30 some-odd years i have been eating at this restaurant. the shrimp fried rice w/o gravy(has to be that way for best flavour IMO) is so good its almost bordering on illegal!! they favor the thinner noodled chow meins and such where i tend to like the thicker but everything is always fresh and good!
i have eaten at every chinese place in town over and over again and this is the best chinese food in maple ridge.

Consistently good food. I have been ordering food from this restaurant for about 10 years, starting back when it was located on Dewdney near 122nd St (it is now located on Lougheed at the former Bamboo Inn site). The staff are friendly - Kim, the owner, is delightful - but what keeps me coming back is that the food is consistently good and reasonably priced. I have tried other Chinese food restaurants in Maple Ridge, and the quality of their food ranges from downright awful through so-so to sometimes good, sometimes not. In comparison, the Chinese Palace always turns out piping hot, delicious meals.

-- The chow mein uses the proper thin, flat noodles and is cooked to the proper brown colour - very tasty!
-- The wonton soup, wor wonton soup and corn chowder with chicken are all wonderful (the chowder has lots of large chunks of chicken in it).
-- the chop suey has nice, crisp vegetables; for those with meat or seafood, they don't skimp on the protein; the guy ding dishes contain lots of almonds or cashews.
-- the beef and tomato fried rice is absolutely yummy, as is the lemon chicken.

Definitely speed dial worthy!
