Review La Perle Noire - Longueuil

Very nice place and simple place. The food was great. We ordered pad thai and it was great. Not too spicy and it came with a soup which was also very good. The lightly breaded sea food platter was well seasoned and the sauce that came with it was excellent. The noodle bowl was was very tasty and with good proportions of noodles, chicken and vegetables. Almost too big to finish. The staff was nice and friendly. The service is quick. Good price to quality/quantity ratio. Need to reserve your place and i will definitely go back.

I give this restaurant 2 stars for : - Accomodating us despite not having reserved a table during a pandemic - Very friendly staff that is efficient and moves quickly in order to satisfy the client The 3 lacking stars are for : - The bowls that our main courses were served were chipped at the rim and the glasses of water provided were dirty even before use - The Chef's Choice appetizer, which is supposed to be a combination of 4 different things to try a variety of food was priced at 15$ and arrived with 2 spring rolls, 2 pieces of some sort of fried chicken and 2 fried mushrooms, 2 halves of fried bok choy and 2 fried heads of broccoli - My main dish, which was the General Tao, was quite bland and the accompanying rice was dry and my friend's Orange Beef was overly cooked and didn't even have a hint of orange to it. Loved the staff and the service but will unfortunately not go back because of the food related experience.

We ordered 8 plates 5 of them were poorly filled Only 2 thirds of each plate were full We paid 150 $ for 100 $ worth of food. 4 dishes come usually with fried spinach This item is the heart and soul of the dish I can't believe that ** No spinach was included ** We had guests over...the food was not enough, thanks to this cheating move by la perle noire. We had to order from another restaurant And wait another 90 minutes. We've been ordering from la perle noire for a long time. YESTERDAY WAS THE LAST TIME. I will share this cheating experience with all my friends and family and all their social Media networks. PS : To la perle noire management: Do not contact me Do not offer me any credit/voucher

The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent from start to finish. So why did I only give it three out of five stars? We were an extremely large group and when it came time to order we each ordered different things off the menu except three of us chose the orange beef. They brought the three servings of orange beef at the same time, and I was handed one, and the person across from me was handed another. The inequality in the portion sizes were completely ridiculous. The person across from me had at least double the amount of food that I was given. Now let me say that the orange beef was really good. It was crispy and tender at the same time and the flavor was delicious. The menu said that it was supposed to come with vegetables, but there were very few vegetables in my bowl. So like I said the meal was delicious, however, I paid the same amount for my meal as the person across from me and yet their portion was so large that they did not even finish their meal. I am not sure how the kitchen can let three dishes of the same food be served to the same table and yet one of the the dishes is significantly smaller than the other two. If these dishes were served to two different tables nobody would even know the difference, but when a restaurant is bringing the same orders to the same table they should make sure that they look the same.
