VERY surprised! Popped in on a whim, figured... What's to be expected from a shawarma place directly in front of a college?? Not much right? Boy was I ever wrong! Tried the chicken shawarma plate and sandwich, beef shawarma sandwich, hummus and fattoush. Beef shawarma is super hard to get right, even by the most experienced shawarma masters, so that one was not the best, especially since it was pre-made and not on a skewer. The chicken sandwich was deeeelicious. My favorite was the chicken plate. Hadi made it carb free with fattoush, extra garlic, hummus, and that yummy hot sauce ... And WOW!! Mouthwateringly delicious!! Turns out everything in the shop is made in house and never purchased pre-made. And I mean everything! The pickles are pickled right there, the garlic sauce (which was fantastic), hummus, everything! Service couldn't have been better. This man serves his customers with a big smile and a joke that will definitely leave you smirking at the very least. When in London I will definitely be hitting this place up every time!
Fresh tasty shawarma made fast! Delicious home-made got sauce! The only unsettling fact was they had a big sign out front advertising $6.50 but when I got in the price was 7.50 & they said the signs 2 years old. As if that’s a reasonable excuse.. in my world and business u have to honor your own mistakes! That’s why you dont put a permanent price on your window! People should only be charged $6.50 till they update it! It’s false advertising! (2 days outdated would be understandable, not 2 years!)
I had a beef wrap. Great flavour and quality. The homemade hot sauce is unique as it's actually a paste, very tasty with a good kick. The wraps are a little smaller than some places, but the price reflects that. Friendly owner who is proud of his food and even does his own pickling! I'll be back.
My second time coming here and soon a third, great place for students who want more flavour than what the campus offers.
I went in person a couple of months ago and I think that he could tell my girlfriend and I were first-timers. He was incredibly kind, shared some pickles as a sampler, and told us a bit about himself and about the pickles while he made us chicken wraps. The fries were crisp and the chicken had an amazing char on them. I'm sad that we can't go in person right now but I'm excited to share the positive experience that I had. Can't wait until there are fewer restrictions so we can say hi and grab another meal.
Favourite shawarma in London! And we tried and tested a lot before landing on this place. The lady is the sweetest person ever and gives huge portions! Perfect for leftovers at a great price. We are return customers. Highly recommended.
Best shawarma in town, I've tried 4-5 different places based on some reddit threads on best food in town, and this is hands down the tastiest. Nothing beats going in person, the guy behind the counter is super friendly and lets you try the pickles which are super good. Great sandwich, but BEWARE the hot sauce is lethal, start with mild if you like spicy stuff.
Faaaantastic shawarma place, my favourite in London. Eaten here dozens of times over the years and never had anything less than great food. Their chicken shawarma remains my go-to, but the falafel is a close second! The staff is quick and not stingy with toppings, which is amazing. Priced well too!
Not only is the chicken shawarma the best quality in London, the price is unbeatable. Less then 20 bucks for a platter and a drink, salad is put together in front of you with your choice of fresh veg and the portion size is unheard of with most restaurants you'd visit. Only place we'll go for shawarma-wife is very picky with chicken quality-rice also has some veggies in it which is a nice touch.
Perfect place for me to grab a quick lunch while at work. Chicken is very flavorful there. Also love their homemade hot sauce!
