I just want to take a moment and really give this family restaraunt a raving review. Me and my son absolutely love the food (quality & quantity), warmth, sincerity and welcoming staff. Especially their appreciation for their customers; with heart warming notes on their receipts. We appreciate your service ❤

Great food! Great place!

Fantastic service and old school diner fare. Great portions and pretty tasty, too. Definitely a great, regular Canadian breakfast type. Really good coleslaw too and I'm picky.

May 24/14 - Restaurant has improved with new ownership. Had not been here for awhile as was disappointed with food & service some time ago. There was 5 of us for diner. There was a good choice of meals on the menu along with 3 specials of the day. All our meals were cooked to our satisfaction, good portions (not too little, not too much) & tasty. Waitress was brand new & made mistakes, but she tried hard and was attentive. Overall experience was good. Will come back.

Always great. Food is tasty, served quickly and hot. The waitress is always cheery and makes you feel very welcomed. Now that its opened again I'll be back.

I was welcomed warmly and attentively. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are all polite and ready to serve. The food I had was satisfyingly above average quality. I will return to this establishment most certainly.

Probably the best food I've had in a long time. I definitely recommend that you go and try anything because I've probably had almost all of the food there and every one of them was incredibly delicious!

A breakfast joint with all the possible breakfast options imaginable. I've always enjoyed their omelette specials on the weekend. They are now closed at the dinner hour. Loads of free parking.

My father and I went here for Father's Day breakfast, and were EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the quality of service. When we first got there the restaurant was very busy, and understandably so, considering it was Father's Day. Upon sitting down we noticed that a lot of the customers were very unhappy, but figured they were just being rude. We later realized that this was not the case. In the span of time it took us to receive our meal, 10+ tables had left, due to how unorganized the staff was. After placing our order it took nearly an hour for food to arrive. Once it had, the toast was missing. After waiting 20 minutes, and asking 3 different waitresses, we finally got our toast as well. <br/><br/>We also noticed that one of the waitresses was extremely unprofessional with the comments that she made, and her choices of words was not suitable for an establishment where children are. I have worked in kitchens before, knowing the stress that it can cause, and that sometimes orders are behind. But there has to be a certain level of organization needed to make the best of these situations. It shouldn't take over an hour just to finally get your order of eggs and bacon. <br/><br/>I will not be eating there again, and advise that others don't as well.

Changed and not for the better. I live so close to this place and loved going there regularly for Sunday brunch with friends and family.<br/>The last time I went I took some of my house guests and was so embarrassed by the service and food. MacDonalds pancakes look and taste better!<br/>I went back a few times thinking aubergine it was a one off....sadly it was not!<br/>I will never go back again. <br/>Food comes out of the kitchen cold and you wait forever to get it....seriously it's eggs we waited over 35mins and it was not that busy. 2 thumbs way down!

What Happened. Had breakfast...potatoes tasted like deep fried snow....eggs were cold....waitress very impersonal...atmosphere very uninviting....used to like this place but never again...

Good Food. One of the best restaurants in town. Im not sure why so many bad reviews. The portions are big and the prices are affordable. Where can anyone get a breakfast for 4.99 including coffee plus you get refills.<br/>I go there almost every week and they now have a new menu. So many great options, like the fish and chips for 8,99 on Fridays. Best Fish and Chips ever. They also have Pork back Rib specials for 14.99. Amazing ribs. My favorite dish is the Riverdale Chicken. Yummy for the Tummy. This place is amazing and the waitresses do a fantastic job to make sure everybody gets served on time.

The food is not good at all! The portion sizes are skimpy and very tasteless! They really need to bring their food into this century!

First and last time. Just had breakfast at this place. Waited over half an hour for eggs. Sausage links were like styrofoam, waitress forgot our toast. When she brought it ten minutes later the entire breakfast was now cold. Then the waitress proceeded to spill my sons oj all over his breakfast. Waited another 15 minutes for his meal replacement. Everything was now overcooked. Will never eat at this place again. Worst food and service I've ever encountered. I give it 0 stars.

Rotten Meat. We were in for lunch as we work in the medical building just up the road and we have been there several times with ok food. We will NEVER go there again!! We had ordered a corn beef sandwich with a salad, salad was ok as it is hard to screw up a salad, corn beef was rotten. It was brown and smelly, we let the server know she asked the kitchen and gave us the same corn beef back and told us it was brown from sitting the steam table to long. We asked for another one and we got the brown rotten smelly meat but this time it was ice cold, so this time the reason for the brown smelly meat was that 'when meat sits on top of it's self it goes brown'. Since we aren't as dumb as they want us to be we sent it back and said the said was enough. Once the bills came our server told us there was nothing she could do and the whole meal needed to be paid for. We ended up speaking with 'owner' who told us he 'didn't give a sh** what our problem was we had to pay' We argued for a few minutes with the 'owner' continuing to swear at us.( 3 women). He seems to think he is untouchable since one of his rants was that it didn't matter what/or who we told 'everyone knows who I am, it doesn't matter what you do'. Even after we told him that we come in often for lunch he 'still didn't give a f**k'. Those words came out of an owners mouth to paying customers.<br/>We will NEVER go there again. Only go if you want<br/>bad rotten food and like paying for it.

Greasy spoons are a favourite of mine, and I had heard really favourable reviews of Riverdale. So I was surprised that it did not live up to the hype. Service lacked the attention that small family restaurants survive on, waited 20 minutes after I finished for a coffee refill. The food was decent but not impressive by ant means. All in all the service was friendly but slow. 1.5 out of 5.

Great for breakfast service is kind of dull but the food is usually good. A good family neighborhood resaltaurant
