Review Bistro 644 - London

We came here to celebrate my fathers birthday and we were not disappointed. The food: You have to try the zataar fries and halloumi fries- AMAZING! Really did a great job with the menu folks. The menu is diverse offering options for vegans and vegetarians which was perfect for our group. The space: There are 2 levels, both are fairly cozy, but it's nice and airy with a retractable garage door and additional setting outdoors. Great for any size groups with the variety of tables/benches they have. Overall it was a great experience. I will absolutely be back to try more items on the menu.

Got the family (5 people) platter and wow it was amazing. More like 7-9 people's worth of food and prepared beautifully. A little pricey, but to try a bit of everything, very worth it

Bistro 644 is a food experience unlike anything in London. From the moment you walk in the wood tones and classy seating is refreshing to see and creates the doorway to what will follow. Every appetizer was absolutely delicious, the bread perfectly baked, with a soft and hearty center, perfect amount of crisp on the outside and some notes of zataar and herbs to follow, this alone would make a fantastic appetizer but it is only the bread to be dipped in everything else; somehow it only gets better from here. I tried the fried halloumi, the muhammara and the baba ghanouj and each was amazing in it's own right. The baba ghanouj had a wonderful hint of the coal it was cooked over, enriching it, making this the best baba ghanouj I have ever had in my life. For the main course, koushari and two plates of grilled meats (shawerma, and shish kabob). Every meat was seasoned well and grilled to perfection. The salads on the side were tarty and fresh. The hummus served with it was a perfect side and everything was served in a beautiful arrangement. For dessert the knafah was the perfect blend of textures, the cheese melted to perfection, topped with a knafah cooked on a cast iron pan creating a layer of soft and gooey in the middle and crispy on the top. To call this a meal would be a mistake, this was an experience, and one of the best of my life. I easily give the decor and ambiance a 5/5, the wait staff and the chef each earned a 5/5, and the food was delicious and well presented, easily a 5/5. The chef came out himself to check on us and only made this experience more enjoyable for us.

Came here with my family over the weekend and we ordered the family shareable platter, food was delicious and the service was even better! My sister has a food allergy to sesame seeds (which are in a large number of the meals they prepare here) but they did a great job catering to her allergy and platted what they could for her on a separate plate (this food was still part of the platter). Was very nice trying something new, would definitely recommend.

Amazing food, good price, good quality, and quantity. Baba ghannouj was to die for, and the staff were really nice. Owner was welcoming and cared about our dining experience, and even supplied an appetizer on the house. I will be back, and would recommend bistro to anyone

Great experience, tasty food and great service! We had the sultan kabab and the Kunafa, the food was so yummy and reminded us of food back home! It’s now one of our weekly to go places :)

Whatever you're doing, keep doing it. Great service, amazing food, well-priced, nice decor/atmosphere. The dish pictured here was "Beirut something". It was amazing. Can't reccomend this place enough.

Must try the Halloumi Fries! Also there's a secret dessert apparently, just as for the Kunafa. Will definitely return.

Went during the soft open, and everything we had was delicious! The roasted red pepper and walnut dip was phenomenal - I would love to buy it and take home. Our server was wonderful, the interior was so warm and pleasant and the dishes were all beautifully plated. we can't wait to come back and try everything once the full menu is on offer. I'll be disappointed when the rest of London realizes this place is here and it becomes more challenging to get a table.

Food was spectacular, but the service lacked quite a bit. They brought the wrong entree, forgot my partner's rice, and took a very long time to clear our table, even after walking past our table multiple times with empty hands. The food was outstanding though. The haloumi fries were unbelievable, and both our entrees were excellent. Will definitely be back.

Overall, exceptional. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 I came here to grab a quick bite to eat. My partner and I were undecided on 3 appetizers, and we asked which one was most popular. He said they all were, and brought out three samples for us to try. This is the type of service restaurants should strive to achieve. It was welcoming, polite, and generous. We ordered the hummus and shawarma tacos. The food was delicious. Shawarma taco was flavourful, juicy but not soggy, and came out warm and quickly. Fries were seasoned nicely. The hummus was also very delicious and great portions. Good for 3 or 4 people. The server came by often to refill our water and make sure everything was going well. Pricing was normal compared to most places, but with the quality of food, service, and atmosphere, it was well worth the money we paid. Definitely would recommend coming here. If you're in downtown, you won't be disappointed.

Great food and atmosphere. Couldn't of been happier with both the meal and the service. Very attentive staff creating a warm and welcoming vibe. Even got a free Baklava for desert! Of course we will visit again, before and after we get back from turkey :p Thanks again Branden

Today was especially amazing as my family and I enjoyed an excellent dining experience at Bistro 644. Two of my children said that that was their favourite mix of food from all over the Middle East. Excellent service and a wonderful array of presentations. Each dish was a surprise. Worth the visit and the prices were reasonable. Try the kunafa after your meal.. fantastic!!!!!

Absolutely loved the overall dining experience. The ambiance is very warm and inviting, the service was admirable, and the food was scrumptious. The owner’s came to our large table to make sure we were satisfied with everything. We thought that was a very nice touch. Great variety of food, and the menu is very interesting. It was like I was going on a Middle Eastern journey. Can’t wait to visit again!

A little bit of an odd setup and the space should be better utilized as the kitchen seems very small... but the food was good overall and I will try again.

Had such a great experience for iftar with my family . We ordered the platter and it was delicious . Great portions and so filling and yazan and his team took amazing care of us. The desert .. unexplainable. Highly recommend . They even serve you soup and dates to break your fast. Complimentary. Amazing amazing service all the best to bistro 644 ! Thanks guys!!!

The decor is nice. The food was wonderful and full of flavour! It is all freshly made with high quality ingredients. Nicely presented and portion size is deceiving. I was so full I needed a takeout container. Average priced. Attentive, friendly staff. Definitely will be back!
