Review J.dee's Market Grill - London

This is my second time eating at this place, and I have to say, it is quite good. The French onion soup is the best I have tasted in London so far. It doesn't feel as if the plate was blasted in the microwave. It was loaded with well caramelized onions. The cheese felt like the soup itself actually melted it. The classic burger was a pleasant surprise. Unlike chain restaurants like the works, this actually had the most home made feel to it. Though, in my opinion, could use a bit more salt. Otherwise an pretty good burger. Altogether, I would have rated this place a solid 3.5 out of 5.

This place is great! Very friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere. They have local craft brews available, as well as the classics. It's a wonderful location, just across from both the Covent Garden Market and Budweiser Gardens, in the heart of London. Every time I stop by I always make sure to get an order of their bacon wrapped scallops (as pictured) and they are so So delicious! I love them so much I eat the kale garnish underneath because the bacon has dripped on to it. They do serve it with a lemon wedge and a sauce, my advise is to just use the lemon, the sauce is good but these babies stand wonderfully on their own. Great place, good music, fun times with friends in an accessible location with amazing food. What's not to like? 5 stars

Onion soup is as good as others said. I love the little corn in grilled chicken salad!

Best mushrooms caps in town. Perhaps the country. Club house is top notch and thick cut fries are crazy good. Fantastic experience overall.

Environment is nice in the place, service is good as well..... food is ok, ordered mozzarella sticks and wings, sticks were awesome but my wings were a little bit over roasted and salty but not bad.

Great atmosphere. Food was pretty good. Quick service. Burger was very flavourful and juicy. And the fries taste like home made fries.. Sooo good!

Best burgers in London... and great desserts. Even during lockdown and King Street construction, they opened a patio on the new, wider sidewalk. A for effort!

Sits in an amazing location downtown London on the corner of talbot and kings street. Food was amazing, more than I expected for a diner style restaurant. And I was happy to see the staff that was serving and cooking my food enjoying their break and having a meal together while I enjoyed my food. It’s a family environment and somewhere I will definitely be visiting again soon.

Had a really amazing experience here! The staff here are all great, very engaging with our group of people and it was nothing short of a great time. The food is also fantastic and reasonably priced. Will be back here in the future!

Great service, great food, and locally owned.
Fine Diner
Had only been here for lunch and that was a long time ago. Decided to go for dinner before going to a play at the Bud. Have to go before 5:30 to guarantee a seat as they do not take reservations. Got the last 2seats in the house. Partner ordered the fish and chips with Kale salad included. Found it served hot and enjoyed the large portions.
I ha the bacon and blue cheese burger on ciabatta bun and surrounded by fresh cut tasty home fries. I am a real advocate of fresh cut fries and consider restaurants that serve them as having gone the extra mile in their food offerings. My burger was delicious although it would have tasted better with more than one piece of bacon. Service was a tad slow but we were in no hurry. Would return.

One of my favourite burger places in London. The "Classic Burger", with a cream cheese and bacon got me hooked on cream cheese as a topping. Such a lovely flavour. The fried rice is a great side, versus the usual fries you get elsewhere. It's been a decade since I worked downtown, but I'm always up for making the trip just to go here.

Superb sweet potato fries. Burger is good. Fish and chips are ok. Overall, had a long wait due to the nearby playoff hockey game, server was good, beer was good. All together good place.

Good Food, Terrible and unorganized service. My family and I sat at our table for 27 minutes, No one came to our table. One other Customer came in after we did and was already eating his meal by this time. There was 5 female employees that were busy standing around the bar talking about their weekend. The manager seemed to be lost, walking to and from but not actually talking to guests or helping with food... after 27 minutes of waiting for our orders to be taken we decided to leave, I asked one of the girls if they had forgotten we were there. She seemed confused and replied "HUH?" and the other one immediately got defensive and just said OK! .
When I called to speak with manager, i was informed he was busy. I said i would wait on the line and the male employee said " he stepped out, he wont be back until 2pm ( It was 1:30).
There were 5 empty tables , 5 waitresses .... I would be more understanding if they were extremely busy.
I will not be returning. Perhaps new management would help and mature experienced staff rather than ditzy college girls who think they are there to look pretty.

THE worst meal and service I've had in a while. My "beef dip and ceasar salad" was nothing more than tough beef doused in gravy, soggy as hell, and three slivers of raw white onion and my ceasar salad was more of a soup. The "dip" or what most places would classify as "au jus" was straight up gravy (as if there wasn't already enough sogging up my Vienna). Table of four showed up after us and already had their meal order placed before our server even approached our table. This place is nothing more than a watering hole for pre Knight's games, at best.

Amazing. Four generations of 'girls" heading to Stomp, decided to try J. Dee's for lunch. Wow! Service was great, food was above delicious and the staff was super and so accomodating. I feel bad that I do not know our waitress's name but she was amazing and went out of her way to make our birthday/Stomp gathering perfect in every way. With so many of us and lots of chatter, took awhile to get our act together. She was very patient and never made us feel rushed. She took great pictures for us, accomodated a gluten free issue and so much more. From all of us to all of you, a great big heart felt thank you. You "STOMPED" it! We will be back next visit to London to try more of your tasty dishes.

Great Meal. We popped in here on a Friday night. Nothing was on at the Bud so the place was dead -- not bad though as the service was speedy! We ordered the Nippy Jack and Fish and Chips. The burger was served just as ordered (no cheese please!) on a fresh, super awesome bun. The chicken was grilled to perfection! The side salad was boring but no worries -- I ordered the burger for the burger! The fish was awesome too. Not too much batter and fried just right. And the fries were outstanding -- hand-cut perfections. The waitress was super nice and accommodated our requests with a smile. We will return for sure!

First time goer can't wait to go back!
Not only was our service phenomenal but the food was to die for! I had the veggie burger and my husband had the salmon and we can't wait to go back. It's all I have been thinking about since I ate it. Not crazy about the decor but the food is to die for and the service was fantastic. If your a vegetarian please check these burgers out. Best out there!

Worst restaurant in London?. When we arrived, chef was smoking out front - place was COMPLETELY EMPTY. Bad sign from the beginning. But my boyfriend and I decided to try it. Waiter was friendly but the food was DISGUSTING. Not fresh, not tasty, not even quality grill/pub food. I could make better food from frozen Presiden't Choice boxes. I couldn't finish my spaghetti. Do not go here if you have any semblance of a palate.

I've gone to J.Dee's a fair numberof times and I've never found a bigger or better burger. Try the T-burg with fries. You won't be disappointed!

...What else to wish for..? Well, maybe for more pickles on on the burger when it arrived. In all fairness, we should have asked for more, but neglected to do so eager to sink our teeth in food. The burger was very juicy which is quite an achivment for a generally dry turkey meat(not as dry as chicken, but still). It went very well with some Mill Street Organic. We were actually quite surprised not to see local beers displayed more prominently...
