Review Jack Astor's - London

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Jack Astor’s Bar and Grill Richmond Row on New Year’s Eve. We were lucky to get a walk-in entry without a reservation, and we were glad we did. The food was amazing, from the chicken nachos and sweet potato russet fries to the bow tie chicken nachos and the hot toffee ice cream dessert. We enjoyed a pitcher of Coors beer along with our meal, and the music was just right for the festive mood. Our hostess, Maddie P, was very attentive and friendly, and she made sure our orders were delivered in timely intervals. She was a great part of our NYE experience. Thank you, Maddie! The only downside was that the place was a bit pricey, but we didn’t mind too much because the food and ambience were worth it. We would definitely recommend Jack Astor’s to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing place to hang out with friends and family. We hope to visit again soon!

Jack’s Richmond Row kicked the merriment into high gear with their festive decor! Great atmosphere for the holidays. Food was very good, chicken caesar always a favourite, steak cooked perfectly, very flavourful. Service was excellent, very friendly staff. Made you feel very welcomed.

Stopped by this cozy eatery and was impressed by the hospitality and the delicious offerings. The fish tacos were fresh and flavorful, a real taste sensation. The chicken wings were juicy and well-cooked, and the accompanying sauces were a hit—especially the Thai curry sauce. The wings would truly shine even brighter with a tad more seasoning to bring out their natural flavors. A wonderful dining experience nevertheless and will definitely come back.

The upstairs patio is always cool. Great for a date. Nice little romantic spot overlooking Richmond St. Food tasted great, beer was on point and even a few shots. Waitress was helpful, and friendly. I think she was curious about us and kept coming over it was cute. Great job Jack Astor's keep it up... Check it!

I came here after work yesterday with my friend. Our server Madi always checked in if we needed anything. She was great and really friendly! I love the atmosphere of having a drink on the rooftop patio. My classic mojito tasted soo good. The food was yummy too. Would love to come back here for another drink!

Often I enjoy jack actors, some of their dishes are quite good. Bar favorites, and a nice healthy mix of bowls and main dishes. Lately however I find it to be sub par, and $4+ for hot water and a tea bag is a bit steep. I'll go again, just less often

Was at Jack Astors recently, I have not been to London in a long time. The staff were great, music was good (not too loud), the Christmas decorations looked awesome and the two bartenders that served us, I believe their names were Emma and Mina were amazing. Their attentiveness was impeccable, they were very nice, and provided excellent recommendations for food/drink and things to do in London. Highly recommend visiting especially if they’re behind the bar!

Memphis steak with loaded baked potato was so satisfying... seasoning on steak was fantastic! Thank you Jake for the experience and the conversation...my daughter and I will definitely come back to check out the roof top patio next time we visit! 2nd visit was better than the 1st! My steak was PERFECT! Best Memphis I've ever had! Thank you Jack Astor's for another wonderful dinner!

We took The Grand’s Charlie Bucket to celebrate his closing of the production at Jack Astor’s. The most incredible human continued to spread the magic and wonder of this story by paying for our wonderful meal. The service is incredible!

We came for brunch on friday. Staff here is really friendly, waitress was amazing and she kept checking up on us, the hostess was really sweet and she made us feel comfortable. Food is delicious, chicken fingers must try! will definitely come again!

Excellent service! On our Friday impromptu "date nite", we chose Jack Astor's on "The Row"... Amidst the weeklong heatwave, we were greeted by, cool mist and smiling faces as we reached the rooftop patio. Upbeat music and animated conversations competed in the dynamic atmosphere. Our server, Shelby, was smiling, speedy and attentive. She made us laugh, answered all our questions and made sure we enjoyed our dinner. The food was yummy - although the guacamole appie stole the show! Just for fun we tried the new fish-bowl summer cocktails and allowed our lovely server to upgrade an extra shot ... good call!

Madison was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. Food was great overall... was also a great night on the patio... weather was a bonus!

Nice rooftop patio with a good atmosphere. Friendly service. The Thai sesame chicken stir fry bowl was very tasty - would recommend. A bit pricey overall, but not terrible. Nice spot for an evening out with friends.

I had always a great food experience in any jack astors restaurant..all the foods that they serve all in top qualities ..super excellent and so scrumptious..and this is all the foods below i posted here are all the foods we ordered last feb 17, 2019 for post valentines dinnerdate..the service is great too theyre very welcoming and so attentive..will come back again and this is highly reccomended highclass restaurant for everybody 👍👍😍

Delicious late night dinner with excellent service. We both had a vegetarian Asian dish and 2 weeks later, I'm still craving it! Will definitely return hete next time I'm in London.<br/><br/>It was Canada Day when we visited and there was such a festive vibe going on outside and inside. A lovely town, lovely, fun people and a great restaurant.

There was four of us and we had drinks and dinner. The meal was excellent as was the staff. The other families dining near us were also complimentary of their meals. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Have read the mixed reviews on this Richmond Row location. This place primarily caters to the uni crowd and deal with poor patron attitude. Others in the RR location catering to the uni crowd seem to have the same comments. Could be uni's are less tolerable and more discriminating than us oldies.<br/>We chose not to sit in their classic upper patio deck as it was a little too cool out.<br/>I had the beer cheddar soup accompanied by a fried chicken sandwich. Partner had the Mexican salad with a chicken goat cheese sandwich. Both of our meals were served promptly and hot.<br/>The food was excellent. I always have the beer cheddar soup and highly recommend it. It is a signature dish <br/>Service was quick and efficient.<br/>Would definitely return.

Pretty decent place in case every where else is packed. I've been here a few times. Food is better than the god dog cart across the street..

Went to north Masonville one but was closed for renovations (the guy there said they didn't tell anyone...haha but did give $25 gift card for next visit. Went to Richmond one instead. Sat on the roof patio, just me and my son. He had the kid's cheeseburger and fries - didn't like the burger so much but the fries, yes. I liked the burger but the fries were blah. I had the chicken dippers and lettuce wraps. Lettuce wraps were good, iceberg good choice, big leaves, good for carrying. Didn't like the noodles chosen that much but was good enough tasting. Dippers were deep fried chicken pieces, good amount. You'll get full because they're deep fried but good to share. Three salts, tasted but useless really. Three sauces - one spicy but not a great taste, one sort of honey based but not great either. One was a pineapple sort of mustard based and was my favourite. Katelyn was a great server but after food, was not seen much, and waiting for the machine to pay and my son's cookie for dessert took a long time. Some good choices, not an extensive menu, but nice to look out on Richmond and watch the near-misses in traffic (we saw 2 almost accidents). Price is okay too if you don't want to spend a ton (unless you're drinking!).

How is it possible to have such ridiculous drink times !? No where but Astors has 15 minute drinks.

Most of the female staff here are Angry Coke heads!!. I have been to this Jack astors on numerous occasions, every time, and I mean EVERY TIME the service is sad. Granted there is the odd gem that you come across other then that, the staff is just terrible. You can wait for days... before someone comes and gives you any kind of service. THE WAITRESSES look as if they just came in from a heavy night of doing blow, they look angry as if this is the last place they would rather be( serving you). Giving you looks as if you are wasting their time. Half the time the staff look as if they are judging the customer base, I've seen this first hand as I was there with a few friends and my girl friend and all we could notice was the hatred and gossip going on around the servers in some cases even catching the employees starring at us making us feel real uncomfortable.. I don't know what jack astors management is dong about this problem but it looks as if the training for this easy to do job makes them feel like a Hollywood celebrity. I patronized this business quite frequently (hence the past tense) and can even drop names as to who needs to be weeded out to attract customers once again. It seems as if the ones who have been there the longest ie (LJ) have this entitlement issue because they have been there since the beginning. Worst service ever. Bartender had very bad attitude no people skills. Manager was also rude to us because we complained about our service, he grew frustrated easily. Never going back again and telling everyone never to go.

Continuously disappointed in the service at the dt location, which is really unfortunate because there are some decent food options on the menu. However, drinks are waaaaaaay overpriced and the people working there serve as if they're going to make 20% regardless. Ordered a beer last night and the place was empty but it still took 25 minutes to come. Really?? And it shouldn't have cost $17 for two bud light drafts. Will not be returning.

Food has changed in the past few years it's gotten better i use to hate this place. Now I go here atleast twice a month . My boy friend and I get the same things every time , jerk pork , lamb kafata* Lobster and crab dip with summer rolls, everytime is better than the last. Always busy everyone is always loud music is very loud, it's a great place to go if you want to laugh and enjoy yourself the bar is very nice raspberry lemonade is soo good. I'm trying to invite my friends here but theyre not fans Of yelling across the table,". Great service though. :)

I LOVE this place! There food is really good and even better is that there are sooo many choices on the menu. The only problem is deciding which one to have

Brutal server. As a server myself, it is completely beyond me when servers are rude. I do like Jack Astor's and have been a few times and had a good experience, the drinks are overpriced but the food is good and the new location is awesome. Today on the patio we were served by a dark haired female (I couldn't even tell you her name because she didn't even tell us) and she was off the charts rude doing things like making fun of us for not 'jacking up' our drinks...just completely bizarre behaviour. I am not the type of person to ever complain but I just could not believe how terrible of an experience we had today and couldn't help myself. I do recommend Jack Astor's just cross your fingers you don't have this server!

Overpriced food and drink, patio is nice but the crap service ruins it! Good luck getting a second drink, and waiting 20 minutes for your first when it isn't even busy. Took us a rediculously long time to get our bills, we almost walked out! I've been here before and the service was horrible the first time too! Thought I would give it another shot, but never again!

Love the roof top patio. Parmesan chicken bow ties were excellent for lunch. However our server( the one with an accent) seemed inexperienced. He failed to ask if we wanted a second drink and instead brought water refills. Also constantly at our table rushing us and asked how the meals were before a single bite had been taken. I'll assume he was new and will venture back. <br/>Much better service at their London south location.

Really good. The bruschetta is amaaaazing, my boyfriend got the shrimp tacos which were on special and I gave it a try since he kept saying how good it tasted and I couldn't agree more. I had the Parmesan chicken bow tie and its always good (i order extra sauce on the side because I find it a little dry but thats my own personal opinion)

Exorbanantly overpriced! Mediocre food at best. Service real bad; slow, on two different occasions never came back to settle the bill. Hopefully working out the kinks being new location. Only upside to this restaurant is second floor patio view. Personally I would avoid.

Great location, great staff & great new menu options!! Love the fresh chicken spring rolls.
