Review Aroma Of India - London

My wife and I visited as we were looking for a restaurant near Beale secondary school. We were attending our daughter's dance performance. The place was quite empty when we arrived on a Thursday evening, but got busy shortly after. We will see it quickly and our server was very helpful in helping us pick our dishes. He answered all of our questions with patients. We ordered the vegetable kadai and the gulab. I think the sauce in the kadai was fantastic, striking a good balance between sweetness and spiciness. However there were what I thought to be too few pieces of vegetables. Alberto, for the price point and service, I will come back again.

Tonight, I switched it up. Aroma of India was my destination. I perused the menu and eventually decided my appetizer would be chana masala. This is a classic North Indian dish. It is composed of chickpeas cooked in tomato, spices, and herbs. I paired this with garlic naan. Mughlai paneer biryani (mild) was my entree. I ate this also with garlic naan. The standout flavour was mint. Although there was Indian music playing, that’s about it for atmosphere. The dining area is bland. It needs colour. I paid $37. Aroma of India isn’t a bad restaurant, but it’s nothing extraordinary. My rating is four out of five.

Food was delicious. We tried many other Indian restaurants but this one is unique. Not crowded.

The best Indian food in London, and the customer service is just beyond phenomenal. Had complications with skip the dishes and my order, when they were apparently unable to assist. The restaurant was able completely accommodated. Will be recommending aroma of India to every person I know whose love a good authentic meal.

Stumbled across this place by chance. The root cellar was closed so I just wanted something healthy and in the area. Saw Aroma of India and decided to give it a shot. It’s actually amazing food. I had the chicken masala with the garlic rice and garlic naan. The masala was delicious with large chunks of chicken and a lot of sauce. The rice was something I’ve never had before but the server suggested it would pair well with the masala, he was right! And naan is always good but the garlic gave it a kick that I loved. Definitely worth a shot if you’re in the area but I’ll be driving out of my way for this place moving forward.

This place never ever disappointed me. Food is always good, and being vegetarian, they have so many options. Spice levels are to the point, nothing overpowering. The quality of food and portion is awesome.

Tried this place at Dundas St and it wasn't bad. Service was prompt. We ordered veggie samosa, chicken tandoori and a plate of chicken biryani, a side order of plain yogurt and a mango lassi. Veggie samosa was fine it just lacks the flavor that i was looking for. Chicken tandoori was good. Grilled to perfection, texture wasn't overcooked and had the right amount of spices. Chicken biryani was a little over spiced. Level 8 for the spicyness, one thing was overwhelming tho was the cardamom. I'd rate this 7/10. Good thing that the plain yogurt had to neutralise any intensity. So the mango lassi was extremely sweet. We couldnt finish it. I think the bartender should change this. I'd come back to try out more from this place.

This is the best Indian restaurant in London, and I've been to all of them. The food is delicious and fresh. The naan bread and onion bhajis are to die for! The eggplant dish is also wonderful. I see that other reviewers have complained about the service, and it's true that the server was a bit slow and seemed confused, but she was friendly and very happy to give us what we wanted when she understood what that was. It's a small, family-run restaurant, so adjust your expectations accordingly.
