This is not a new restaurant but a purchase of the restaurant previously there and now closed-the Malibu- that had been there for many years. Wimpy's original outlet is located in the South end near the Costco store and this new north location is also strangely located about the same distance from the Costco north London location. The Malibu was well known for its breakfasts and the filled to capacity room early Sunday morning probably contained a lot of Malibu refugees.
Let me say that if you are looking for a bargain breakfast then try Scores, Mary's, Campus Hi Fi, Early Riser, Thorndale Diner, King's Diner, or Trissa's whose breakfasts are up to 50% cheaper.
Expect to pay over $30 per couple for the standard breakfast of 3 eggs, toast, home fries, 4 slices of bacon, and coffee.
We stepped up to have corned beef hash substitute for the bacon. The service was good, food was quality and hot, and the interior clean and fresh.
Prices here are on par with the Open Kitchen, Coras, Morrisey House and Billys without their imaginative presentations. Wimpy's doesn't measure up to those places and the previous restaurant was much cheaper and didn't survive. There is currently little competition in the immediate area and they better keep a line on their prices if they plan to attract returnees and not suffer the same fate as the previous place.
It was good but a bit high and would recommend if money not an issue for the diner. If so visit one of the places mentioned above.
Great food! The portions were huge!! Wasn't expecting to be that big! The prices were amazing
The only issue was serving and seemed like the server refused to serve and include information that I usually expect from serves. Like when I asked for refilling coffee she provided without letting me know it's additional $2 and same with food. Although it wasn't a big deal and I didn't mind it it was great experience overall!
The best place I have been in years. Prices are fair, portions are huge and the quality is top notch 🤌
The best food, the best service. Many Thanks to Olivia, our wonderful waitress for making us feel at home. Cheers!
Stopped in for dinner when you are traveling northbound you have to turn down Farrah rd and cut through the lot. The place is very clean and inviting it has that 50's or 60's vibe kind of like hbc club z back in the good old days. Great friendly service the food is great and the prices are fair and comparable to other places. The portions are huge.
Although my wife and I keep coming back for the filling breakfast menu, the service this time was not what we've been used to. After we were seated and ready to order, our entire section was somehow completely forgotten for about ten minutes before the staff realized we are yet to place our orders.
So much selection! I loved the fact I could get an eggs Benedict with onions rings. Granted that was a VERY filling brunch, and I ended up taking the onion rings home but hey that kind of substitution was able to be made! Get the parmesan wings, I'd say get the sauce on the side instead of on the wings. Great service, waitresses are bubbly! Will be back 👍
I ordered the pancake trinity and the food came out bigger and better than I expected. The original belgian waffle was soft and nice and the pancakes were delicious. The same for the sausage and the eggs. I recommend this place because it is so much like a diner in the old days.
We were there on a Sunday and there was a line out the door, but it only took about 10-15 minutes to be seated. Our server was so friendly and the food came out quickly and was delicious! The portions are really big and we all took home about half of our meal! Looking forward to going back.

It is a great family estaurant. It has a very unique 50's interior design which I found cool. The menu is quite standard with reasonable prices. The service was quite slow, but the staff was friendly. I had the chance to be there for both breakfast and lunch. Breakfast was a great with eggs, bacon, potatoes and sausages, and two delicious giant pancakes. Lunch was OK, nothing exceptional, you can find same flavour anywhere else. My verdict: a place to enjoy a delicious family breakfast that has a large menu to select from. Thus, I believe this restaurant is a good venue for those who are looking for a decent and affordable place to eat either breakfast or lunch.
The servers make you feel right at home and make sure to make you feel welcome. The portions are plenty and although there was a minor mistake (I got soft poached eggs instead of medium) the food was delicious and cooked perfectly.
Our server was absolutely awesome 👍 she went above and beyond what she did and was always smiling , Kyla is her name she has great personality and very thoughtful. The food was great as well 😁😋
Amazing restaurant! Service and food are great :) everything I taste was delicious and on time. Couldn’t ask for a better brunch.
The food is quite decent and the service is kind. I enjoyed my pancakes, eggs and bacon. Their all day breakfast is great for late risers like myself.
Excellent service today. Our waitress was friendly and very helpful and accommodating. Pleasant meal for sure
