Review Bangkok Pad Thai - London

Angie Kape
We’re visiting my boyfriends parents from out of town and we ordered some takeout. The customer service person was extremely helpful and friendly when we were placing our order. The food was delivered quickly and tasted AMAZING! We’ve tried a lot of Thai places and this one is definitely the best. 10/10 recommend!

We are regulars here - the green and red curries are both consistently good and the pad Thai also is great Tigers beers if you dine in

This is, by far, the best Thai restaurant in town. Everything we ordered was amazing. The staff was so wonderful, delivery time was much faster than we expected, and the taste was perfection. I would give them more stars if I could! We have a vegetarian and a picky eater in our family. Both kids were super easy to order for, and loved their food so much. We had been going to the same Thai restaurant out of habit for like 20 years. On my birthday, I wanted to do something new. I was blown away. Bangkok Pad Thai was far superior to any Thai we have eaten at. My entire family was so happy with everything we ordered. This is going to be our go to restaurant. Thank you for an amazing birthday.

Bangkok Pad Thai is fantastic. My girlfriend and I have been coming here for a long time now and we absolutely love it. Portion size of the Pad Thai is huge, enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Prices are extremely reasonable (16$ for Pad Thai). Cocktails are reasonable ($6! Where can you get 6$ cocktails anymore?!) The owner is very kind. He gave us a free peanut butter ice cream pie slice a while ago. Everything about this place is enjoyable and we will continue to come back on date night as we love it so much. I highly encourage anyone who enjoys Thaifoon or any other competing restaurant to try this place out as it is by far the best in my books.

My fren just introduced me to cream cheese wontons. It was interesting, she said the fresh ones are even yum. It was good. Loved the fresh spring rolls, the peanut sauce with it does the miracle. The spring normal are huge n good.

The meal was absolutely delightful, and the entire experience made for a truly wonderful time.

The pad Thai here was great! A little oily when you get closer to the bottom of the dish but very filling. Their lunch set is a steal! Their Tom yum soup was very flavourful

Enjoyed the 3 course meal with a beer! Food was delicious. Service was good! Relaxed atmosphere! Very affordable evening out! Part of the Londonlicious July 2022 Heat Wave Edition!

Amazing food, ordered the green curry and will absolutely be back as a regular as the rice was excellently made and curry spiced to perfection. They give you an amazing amount of vegetables with portions on par. The selection/variety of vegetables in my dish was equally as impressive as the amount! Been to a lot of thai places here in London and this is by far the best. Chicken tastes like quality meat too. Extremely satisfied! Pricing is fair! No complaints and definitely recommend!!

It’s pretty good, I liked the food a lot! The only thing is I had to add a little more sugar to the Red Curry because it wasn’t as sweet as I was used to. Very generous servings of vegetables and chicken in it though. I would order again...interested in trying their Pad Thai next!

Seems like I chase down Thai food every time I’m hanging out in a new city. This place did not disappoint! Everything both looked and was tasty. Don’t remember for certain but I think my dish was beef with oyster sauce…mmmm, it was delicious.

Food is always amazing, consistently quality. The staff are excellent and I've not had a sinllgle issue the many, many times I've been here. Definitely recommend either dining in or take out/delivery it won't disappoint!

I live in Ottawa now and keep trying Pad Thai here from various places and every time is just a let down! I miss living in London purely and only for this spot. Try it, especially the dine in experience, you won't regret it. Please open up in Ottawa! I'll work for you, we need quality Pad Thai up here.

Thanks Chuck and Leah for once again making our dinner delicious, perfect and extremely memorable. We always appreciate how flexible you are in different dietary restrictions and in everything being made hot and fresh to order.

Love this restaurant. Order for delivery, easy to order online, when they don’t have a certain item they call right away. Their food is always delicious and good value for what you get.

Their house sauce is amazing; very flavourful. All vegetables are fresh and vibrant! It's hard to find good thai food but they are killing it!

The best Thai restaurant in London!!! Love it!!! A lot of menu choices.
Personal favourites include: Thai green curry, Panang, Northern chicken, Thai red curry, Cashew chicken....
Rachel
I've had the vegetable pad thai and the tofu vegetable dish, separate occasions. I was disappointed the first time and thought I'd give it a second change, shouldn't have. The sauce is bland, tastes like soy sauce...The flavours remind me of north America Chinese food not Thai food. The only good thing I can say is that it's fast and portions are good.

Excellent food. Ordered twice for takeout, the food is always ready and fresh when we pick up. A little pricey but the portions are massive. I ordered the house special pad thai twice and can stretch it for two meals easy. Great if you want to split with a friend! Will definitely order again.

Their red curry chicken is to die for! Always good food, always good service. A little expensive on the student budget but very much worth it.

Great Thai food in London! Really amazing flavour and a huge menu to choose from. The Thai Caesar also something special - comes with a shrimp roll and beef jerky on top! Amazing!

Delicious food - better tasting than TK and BT in London. Decor nice for a date, and they have some larger tables for group gatherings. My problem is that I left hungry after getting their set-course meal. Their portion sizes are definitely smaller than TK and BT, for reference, their Pad Thai is about half the size of the TK Pad Thai.

My wife and I went here for lunch today. A nice wait staff in the dining room. They had a $15 lunch deal. App, main dish and a desert. I had a delicious Tom Yum soup to start and a excellent Red curry. Wife had an egg roll and a Pad thai which were both OK. Curry dish could have been a bit larger, but then out came the surprisingly nice desert, not what I expected from them.

This is only mediocre Thai. With a rating of 85%, either patrons aren't used to good Thai food or the place has gone downhill.

Consistently delicious, with good service.. Though it's not my favourite Thai place in London (that honour goes to Thai Cuisine on Gainsborough), I still really like this place.

-Vegetable fresh rolls are yummy and the peanut sauce that comes with is DELICIOUS.
-Chicken Peanut Pasta, though not exactly a "thai food" to my knowledge is very yummy. The chicken appears hand-breaded and is very tender, and again, the peanut sauce is amazing. However, the noodles are NOT stir fried.
-I always get their beef pad thai--tender beef, yummy sauce, decent size portion. They have a lunch special for pad thai under $10, and I really recommend it.
-Yellow curry is the BEST yellow curry I have EVER had. I prefer it with chicken. Absolutely delicious, and not too spicy.
-Pad see ew is good, but a bit tangy, and not the best I've ever had (again, THAI CUISINE ON GAINSBOROUGH.)
-Fried rice is delicious and cheap.
-Peanut ice cream pie, which is homemade in house, is absolutely WONDERFUL. Try it!

The ambiance of this place is really standout--very clean, well-decorated, dim, and not too loud, even during busy hours. Presentation of the food is also lovely. This is a great place to take a date! Service is friendly and prompt; however, the cooks have never remembered to add extra peanuts to my pad thai (I ALWAYS order them.)

Downhill!. We've been ordering from here for years and tonight ordering the same dish (pad thai) WITH cashew and seafood add-ons and the container is half the size, looks like a cereal bowl from a school cafeteria! 24 plus tip for the driver and I can barely get full off this? Other than that, quality is awesome as usual.

All time favorite. I've been getting Bangkok Pad Thai since their old location on Wharncliffe (yep...that's going back a long time)....
Always great food and good service. Super value with their large portions.

Worst Thai Food Ever. Thai food is my favourite food and in my travels I have tasted it all over the world. I always pass by this restaurant and wanted to give it a try, and I really regret doing so. I ordered the "Thai Dinner for 2" and a "Coconut Veggie Soup" The Thai dinner came with fortune cookies (???) spring rolls with a chinese sweet and sour sauce (they should be serving thai dipping sauce in a thai restaurant) It also came with a red curry, which was basically just coconut milk and chill oil- It had the same consistency as water. I didn't even eat half of it, and it left grease stains all over my table. Their famous pad thai dish was extremely disappointing, as one reviewer mentioned, it really does just taste like noodles and soy sauce. Lastly, the soup was disgusting. It didn't even taste like coconut, and didn't seem to contain any real Thai ingredients. I advise you not to come here!!! I just wasted $30 hard earned dollars on garbage.

Meh. I got okay Pad Thai there once, I just got a delivery though that has me 100% never ordering from there again. Their Tom Ka was garbage, their pad thai is just basically soy saucy noodles with over cooked chicken and crushed peanuts and in general I feel like I got robbed.

NEVER AGAIN

I ordered on line tonight two orders of pad thai. When I got here to pick up the amount was different than my confirmation - the server said that's right one order pad thai I say no I ordered two. He argues with me for a bit then looks at his print out oh right he says and storms off. So now I have to wait for 5 minutes for them to complete my order. Now this would not be a big deL but the guy was soooooo rude, he didn't day sorry I made a mistake - nothing. I wasn't my fault he made a mistake but he certainly made me feel that way. And who wants a meal that's been thrown together super fast ? Food good - serve abysmal

Good veg Thai food. Being vegetarian by choice this month I wasn't too sure what to expect when my friends suggested Pad Thai. To my surprise my veg Pad See Eew Veggie was the best compared to the beef and chicken items my friends ordered. I sure was glad that I was vegetarian for the month. Ha!

Excellent food! Tried the original pad Thai and was not disappointed

The best pad Thai in London hands down. The yellow and red curry chicken are also delicious!!!Excellent service. Their peanut ice cream and sticky rice dessert is to die for. Will return to this restaurant again and again. It never disappoints!!!:)

Good Pad Thai, poor parking, good for lunch. Nothing special, but food is good.

Terrible food. Ordered coconut curry noodles and pepper beef. The noodles tasted completely bland. Looks like someone just poured curry sauce over white noodles. No flavour at all. The beef on the other hand, was drenched in grease with very little beef. Pure disappointment

Had their Pho and wasn't overly impressed. But I have heard good things about the pad Thai so would try that next time.

Went there this past Saturday for the first time. The yellow curry is very flavorful and delicious! I highly recommend it! Decor is nice. Above average prices though for thai food and service was so slow! Food took forever to come out!

Not bad but not worthy for the price. Went for dinner. Had mango salad and Tom yum soup for starters. Both were good but small portion. Cashew chicken and red curry beef for entree. Both portion aren't big neither. With lots of veggie and little meat. Their beef is way too thin and tastes like plastic. Chicken is thin too but slightly thicker than the beef. Both dishes are around $15. Kinda pricey for getting so little meat. Also had mango on the mood and fried banana for desert. Tastes good. Better than the drink "bubble tea Mango flavor". Spent about $60 for two people. Quite expensive though.

Had lunch today and it was great.Had pad Thai-delicious! Staff was polite and courteous.Would definitely recommend.

Not as good as it used to be.. LOVE the fresh rolls, really good with the peanut sauce.

Pad thai is great and your serving is massive.

Only complaint is the prices seem to fluxuate when we get takeout. As well, the order usually does not include peanuts, cashews or lime when ordered.

Great Thai Food. Service is really friendly.
Food is great, price reflects it.
I recommend everything on the menu, except their Pad Thai.

Amazing Vegetarian Pad Thai!. I first tried Bangkok Pad Thai about two weeks ago and ever since then I've had it 3 times! It is SOO good & the meal size is pretty large! The food is excellent and the man at the take out is always very kind & pleasant to speak to. I do find the price to be a little steep especially now that I'm HOOKED haha. I have no complaints! However, I would suggest that they add more vegetables into the Pad Thai as it is a little plain with out. I add mixed vegetables in for $1.50 but I think they should be included, it tastes much better with them!
Anyway, best Pad Thai I've ever had and I've tried several different restaurants Bangkok takes the cake for sure! DEFINITELY reccommend! :D

Not Impressed. Went here for lunch and had the red curry with some kind of hot and sour soup. Didn't taste very fresh and the chicken felt very processed. It wasn't terrible but I found the price was too high considering the actual quality of the food.

I like Green Curry. Actually, not dramatically far off from real Thai food, for the limited items I did try.

Best pad thai i have had. Always get my food to go, but the pad thai is amazing and usually lasts me two meals. the guy who runs the takeout side is always the same dude on the 8-9 times i've been and he is very friendly and remembers my order each time i show up.

The decor is beautiful, the food was great, and on top of that, fast service. Overall, my experience was amazing, the only bad thing I could say was that our waiter was a bit rude.

Good Food, High Prices.. As the last reviewer already said the prices here are really high for thai food, but if you can get over that it's a really good place to come and enjoy a meal. The interior is really nice and the service is fast and curtious. Try the Pad Thai, not the best in London, but it's pretty damn good!

I was warned against this place before moving to London, but I figured I had nothing to lose – the restaurant’s close to my yoga studio , and I only had an hour to nourish my belly and get back to campus for a friend’s recital. Wrong. Oh so wrong. I called the restaurant from the yoga studio, ordering shrimp rolls and pad thai . Two very standard (and difficult to mess up) items, that should be at least average at any Thai restaurant (or restaurant claiming to be Thai). I was ravenous after my yoga class, and pulled out my stuffed-to-the-brim clam shell of pad thai . With my splintery disposable chopsticks, I shoveled a few steaming bites into my mouth. My mouth was burning 12 seconds later – not because of the steam, but the excessive sambal (which is an Indonesian chili paste, no?). Yes, that’s right – burning. And I can take spice, usually even from authentic Asian restaurants . Even worse, the sweet-salty-bitter-spicy balance was off: too bitter (see note about spice), too salty (e
