Review La Noisette - London

Amy Kemp
We ordered our wedding cake from them. It was a simple 6 inch drip cake. Even though it was a simple, 60$ cake from their online menu, they still worked with me and even called a couple of times to make sure they understood my notes correctly. I really appreciated that they treated my order with care, even though it wasn't a big, fancy, expensive cake. I also really love that they offer a cake tasting box. They have a lit of options and their cakes are delicious!

Early start today, with a walk to La Noisette Bakery at Bellwood Plaza on Oxford Street east in London. It was super cold. But we had to try this thing called Bagel Bombs! So we purchased all the flavours. How else do you find the best one? The flavours are jalapeno, veggie, classic (cream cheese and bacon) breakfast, pizza and Philly cheese. Lucinda thought they where good, pizza being her favorite. For Me it was a toss up between the classic and the jalapeno. The veggie was my least favorite it seemed to me to just be mostly caramelized onion. The price is $3.50 each or 6 for $17.00. They look small but don't let that fool you the are very filling

Our wedding cake was a dream come true! The cake was so beautiful and matched our flower arrangements perfectly. It was absolutely delicious too! My kids couldn’t believe the flowers were all made of sugar! Thank you so much for the friendly service, delivery and beautiful cake. We are so grateful!

If I could give them 100 Stars I would. Kate went above and beyond with our custom birthday cake. We were astonished, it really was a memorable experience. Will go again, highly recommend

Love the bagel bombs. Love the Hello Dolly and Nanaimo bars too! Today we ate there and also had a lemon iced tea. There are even books to read if you're interested and have time!

Picked up some bagels and hot crossed buns. Bagels are really chewy and dense — which I actually really like, but might not be everyone’s thing. They are definitely fresh, they were still warm when I purchased them. I preferred the everything to the sundries tomato bagel, as I found the sun dried tomato bagel didn’t have much flavor. We picked up a pack of hamburger buns, which were also pretty good. The main purposed of my visit was for the hot crossed buns, and they were just okay. I found them to have a very strong nutmeg taste. Almost like someone accidentally put too much. I am not sure if this is normal — as I have never had a hot crossed bun where you could taste the nutmeg so distinctly. I felt this really took away from the overall flavor as it was all you tasted. Otherwise, they were fresh, well baked, and had lots of fruit in them. I would be interested to try them again to see if it was a mistake?!

We ordered our wedding cupcakes from La Noisette for our May 2023 wedding. We chose a combination of chocolate, vanilla and gluten-free carrot cupcakes decorated with pale pink and white flowers. They were beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed by our guests.

Amazing freshly baked pastries and bread. Their sandwiches are the best in town - delicious. Varieties of coffee - bold to dark, also offers espresso coffees. Friendly service. Relaxed atmosphere. This will be my go-to place. So, I needed to edit this review because I just ate the most scrumptious cinnamon bun - maple bacon! Who knew a cinnamon bun could be improved.

Nice atmosphere. I’ve never been here before. They have good coffee and pastries. I’ll definitely return again.

I presented the Bake shop Studio with a challenge of baking a Dungeons & Dragons cake for a 30th birthday party. I went to 3 before them who turned me down but these ladies rose to the challenge and NAILED it! Thanks so much. It was truly awesome and they loved it:)

My favourite bakery in London! They make the BEST bagels, grab 'em early before they sell out! Also get some of their amazing cream cheeses to go with your bagels; you won't be disappointed! (My personal faves are Smokey Habanero and Herb & Garlic)

When deciding on a bakery for our wedding cake, La Noisette came highly recommended and they did not disappoint! My husband and I tried their cake tasting box to try their various cake and icing flavours and instantly knew we were making the best choice! Tabitha was incredible to work with as she was thorough and prompt with her responses from the beginning. She was very kind and patient as she helped us through the process and answered every question we had. Kate did an amazing job on our wedding cake and it was exactly how we had envisioned it! Everything from the cake and icing flavours, the icing style, to the fresh florals we opted for, turned out better than we could have imagined. Our cake was not only beautiful, but it tasted amazing! I cannot recommend or thank La Noisette, Tabitha, and Kate enough for delivering our perfect wedding cake!

The food is the best. Bagel bombs is where it's at. Fresh bread and bagels, not to mention the sweet treats. There home made crème cheese is amazing!

Best bakery around. Everything is beyond delicious! I am hooked on the fresh bagels, bagel bombs, fritters, cream cheese, shortbread cookies, dolly squares, date squares, the list could go on and on. Keep up the amazing work! :)

Fantastic service and even better food, especially the bagel bombs! I would also highly recommend any of the take-home cream cheeses offered, in particular the garlic one! DELICIOUS

la Noisette is a wonderful addition to the London food scene. We had their quiche and took home a chocolate croissant, almond croissant, and a loaf of bread. They were very very good. We will be back soon. I have told my neighbours about la Noisette.

I think we short change bakeries in thinking of them just as bread factories and not establishments of a multiplicity of baked goods. I might also add they are also experts of the light lunches and usually feature them on fresh baked bread rather than the day old of the non bakery franchise restaurants.
This place is a gem whose relaxed and bright atmosphere slaps your face upon entering. Comfortable Sofas intermingled with a number of formal seating in a down home environment made me regret I was taking out rather than eating in.
The bakery is located in the corner of a small but very busy strip plaza in East London
Place only serves breakfast and lunch not unlike most bakeries, but have such a good diverse menu you will vow to return.
Staff greeted me enthusiastically and we're ready to fill my order the minute I gave it.
I had the Cuban sandwich toasted and including generous helpings of ham, bacon and cheese on a fresh ciabatta type bun. Was excellent and not hesitate to try again. Partner had the corned beef on rye and pronounced it excellent.
THE BAGEL BOMB!!!!
We added their signature offering-BAGEL BOMBS which you don't want to declare at an airline terminal but you have to buy and try this unique baked item. Popular pizza and maple head the list. It is essentially a bagel doughnut infused with pizza dressing or maple dressing in the two kinds we ordered. This is truly a great baked item and somehow the public should know more about this delicious and reasonably priced unique item. One of the best bakery signature items in London. Note cutaway of pizza bomb in photos.
Prices are reasonable, setting indoors homey and food very good. What's not to like? Will definitely return particularly for more bombs.

THE best corned beef sandwich in town. Just the right amount of mustard, a hint of cole slaw for crunch, perfectly toasted rye bread and superb corned beef make this sandwich a standout!
Looking forward to trying more items in this bright, cheerful venue.

Unique and really tasty. I went in the other day, as I often drive though this part of town on the way home. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I was really hungry. Happy I did!! This place is really amazing. The menu is unique, and delicious. I am going back today.

A fresh, tidy, comfortable place to be. The owners have lots of restaurant experience and an absolute passion for baking. An up and coming bakery that is likely to become a permanent fixture in London. Try them soon, and go back often. Various new baked goods. Good coffee. The right prices for a high quality baked good. Be sure to chat with Tabi or Dave if you have a dream that a bakery in town will make your favourite. They are likely to make it, well. Simple to complicated recipes, they do them all well. Allergies? Let them know and they may just make your dream item using a substitute. This is certainly a bakery we want to keep around.
